"Thought you knew. I haven't seen them since I've gotten back from my trip. I came home and they and the car was gone."
Elliana snickered. "Maybe they took this time to finally get away from you," she mumbled under her breath, but not too well that the woman to her right heard her.
She gasped. "How dare you? I'll have you know that my sweet baby Nicky is amazing to be around and amazing in bed," she spoke in a sweet voice as she bit her lip at the end.
"First of all, ew," she grossed at the nickname and the fact that she mentioned having sex with him. "Second of all, you're cheating on your wife. What is wrong with you? Lizzie is a perfect woman who has done nothing wrong to you, andโ"
"Elizabeth has done wrong to me, ya hear? She's always gone against what I've said since that little red headed devil was born," He declared.
"Oh, baby. You mean Betty." Blondie pouted.
"It's Debbie. Get it right," Elliana hissed.
"Excuse you." Nicholas moved in front of his side hoe. "Don't talk to Jennifer like that."
Elliana looked to the blondie. "Oh! So, you have a name now? That's a shock."
Blondie moved down to the girls eye level. "Listen, hon. I hope you know that I'm not intimidated by you and your little attitude."
Elliana was quick to snap back with, "And I'm not afraid of you and them little fakes you got in that bra of yours." Blondie shot up with a gasp and covered her boobs with her hands and turned away.
She turned back to Nicholas. "I'd say you're better than this . . . but we both know you're not. So, let's both not lie to ourselves. I hope you know that if Debbie and Lizzie left, it was for a good reason. 'Cause if I was your daughter, I wouldn't even have the nerve to live with you and love you like she still shockingly does." Elliana began to turn around.
"And how do you know what she loves? I mean, I'm her father, so I should know her better," shouted Nicholas.
"It's because I'm her girlfriend. And I, for a factโdo know her better than you will," she spoke as she turned away and moved to a different side of the grassy knoll.
As she now was faced toward the street, she watched as the motorcade that carried Kennedy and his wife come towards her. "Wow," she gasped. "You really can see his suntan from here."
She watched as the car got closer and closer until . . .
BANG!
She quickly covered her ears and dropped to her knees as the gunshot rang through the air. People screamed, scattered, dropped their belongings and fled around the area as they were afraid of what might happen next.
She slowly took her hands of her ears and stood up to see Kennedy's motorcade drive faster than before and the police now swarming with their sirens on, rushing away from the scene. Her eyes watched closely as it went near an overpass, near then getting out of her view completely.
"Wow." She sighed. "The sixties is somethin' else, man."
"No dip, Sherlock."
Elliana nearly jumped into the sky when she heard the voice behind her. "Oh, my God. Mace, if you do that again, so help me, I will wring you by your neck!"
The curly headed boy stepped towards her and said, "Threats, threats and more threats. Why never a, "Hello, Mace," or a, "How are you today?" or maybe even a, "You're so handsome, that you make young Leonardo DiCaprio look like a joke." Something like that."
Elliana gave him a straight look. "Maybe I'll give you a where were you for the last few days?"
"With Klaus." He shrugged. "His cult is so clingy that it made me think about if I had a fan base, they would probably be like that. It had me rethinking my whole life."
Elliana chuckled. "Well, at least I know you're still you. Nothing happen to you?"
"Nope." He shook his head.
"Nothing happen to Klaus? Or Ben?"
"Klaus, sure he's fine. Ben . . . gotta ask Klaus for that," he spoke and looked at the ground. "How about you? Anything happen to you?"
Elliana looked to the ground and took a breath. "Yeah, but, nothing I can't handle, I guess." She gave a quick tight lipped smile. "Could really use a hug though."
Mace chuckled and held out his arms for one. Elliana focused hard enough so that he shined blue for a quick minute before turning back to his natural skin color and they met hands. When one didn't faze through the other they met at an embrace.
Mace squeezed her softly as she rested her face into his neck and he placed a soft kiss on her head. "Everything's gonna be alright. You can do it."
Elliana chuckled. "Can we please get out of here? I feel weird just standing here after I watched someone get assassinated."
Mace laughed out loud. "Yeah, sure. We'll head back to Elliots. Oh, I forgot to tell you."
"What?"
"He's dead, by the way."
Elliana stopped and looked at him quickly. "What?!"
