It was one whole day that Jungkook didn't barge into your room.

It was one whole day you didn't get to see his smile, it was one whole day of feeling like a failure.

The others had done a great job of taking care of you and Jungkook. They were also great at calming the panicking public now that the alpha was down.

They even tried their best to make you laugh with no result of course.

You couldn't stop blaming yourself for all of this, not until Jungkook doesn't wake up.

From what the boys told you, the bloodfeeders were defeated in the end. They assured you that they wouldn't dare set foot here again.

You were so close to informing the boys about Sheila but then again, she wasn't bluffing and she was definitely going to go to even extremer lengths if she found out.

Lost in your thoughts, you heard a knock on your door.

"Come in", you sighed.

It was Jin and he had a big smile on his face, "Jungkook's awake".

Those words sent your heart leaping out of your chest and you practically ran to his room making Jin chuckle coming after you.

You weren't the only one it turns out excited to see him awake. The boys were crowding the room too, looking like they were conversing but everything stopped when you came into the room and then your eyes locked with Jungkook's.

He wasn't able to hold a strong gaze like he had always been able to. He looked vulnerable all bandaged up. You have never seen him like this before.

"We'll give you guys a minute", Namjoon insisted as the others nodded leaving you completely alone with Jungkook.

He kept his gaze trained on his hands on his lap, even they had some sort of bandaging around them. You moved one step forward, only now realizing how squeaky the floor was or was it your shoes?

"Jungkook", you began, your hands all sweaty, you didn't know where you were going with this.

"Don't", Jungkook growled like a warning.

"This, it's all my fault", you carried on.

Jungkook let out a bitter chuckle, "You don't listen do you?"

His eyes finally met yours but they weren't recognizable. Not of the Jungkook who had taken you out to the lake, your favourite Jungkook.

"I told you to stay in your room", he gritted his teeth, "And what did you do? You surrendered yourself! You risked everyone's lives all because of what!", he was screaming now.

"I just thought that- I...it was my fault the blood feeder came in the first place, he would leave the village alone if he just got a hold of me", you gulped.

"And then what, he would suck your blood, eat you, what were you going to do then", he interrogated now crossing his arms over his chest.

"I was going to think of that later", you had a plan, you had never said it was a good one.

"Think", Jungkook narrowed his eyes at you, "see that's the problem really, you don't think! had you ever thought of just listening to me or is that not a princess thing, a human thing", he spat.

Your fists clenched automatically on their side, human you found was looked as a weakness here, human you found was the reason Jungkook hated you were his soulmate.

"Why do you care!", you shot back.

"Why do you care even if I had died? It would be best for you wouldn't it? You would stop being embarrassed of a human soulmate!", sooner or later, you had begun screaming too. Your chest heaving up and down and tears blurring your vision.

Jungkook's eyes widened, he hadn't told you anything about soulmates.

"H-how did you know?", his voice was soft again.

"Why! Because I wasn't supposed to know, I get it!", you tried very hard to wipe your tears but they were coming back again faster than before.

"Y/N", Jungkook's eyes softened. "Look I need-".

Jungkook thought you would be disgusted, wouldn't want anything to do with him but what you said next left him speechless.

"Come with me, you- we can figure this out together", it took all your courage to say that.

Jungkook realized how that he would have said yes in a heartbeat. But he was afraid, he was stupid because what he said next was quite the opposite.

"You don't get it, do you Y/N! I don't want you as a soulmate!", he scoffed.

You had guessed that this would be the case but you never expected to hear him say those words and with the same disgust he held for you that first day. You thought things had changed but clearly this wasn't a fairytale and definitely not yours.

"You're a human, this is not supposed to work out, leave, just leave!", he hissed.

He was afraid, he was just too afraid to ask you to stay, to say yes to your offer. After all, he owed his life to this forest but he couldn't quite word that to you.

There was a huge lump forming in your throat which was soon replaced by tears.

"I'm leaving, I'll leave in two days, no one else will get hurt anymore, I'm sorry for everything", your eyes met Jungkook's one last time before you ran out of the room.

Jungkook would have rushed after you only that his injuries didn't allow him, niether did his brain. The whole plan was to let you leave. You were not supposed to stay and he was not supposed to stop you. He also didn't want you to know about any of this soulmate stuff but now that you did, in the worst way possible, he couldn't even explain himself.

The worst part about it all was that he had made you cry, he had hurt you and that pain hurt more than any injury he had.

Jungkook's head fell back on the pillow, he was such a fool, he was supposed to run from fate, that was the plan but this fool found himself running towards fate instead.

The guards looked amongst one another, surely no one was brave enough to tell the prince the truth. They had spent weeks venturing into the forest to find you but even the guards were losing hope.

"Sir", a brave guard called out to the prince.

The prince turned on his heels, narrowing his eyes at the guard. The prince wasn't fond on talking to guards, especially when they had intiated the conversation first.

"W-we were just t-thinking...", the guard stuttered looking around for the suppourt of other guards. The other guards looked away, as if they weren't wanting to address the same things.

"Go on", the prince added curiously.

"I think the princess is gone, there is no us-".

"How many times do I have to tell you! We are not leaving until we find her, this kingdom has to belong to me, do you understand!", he yelled.

"Yes sir", the guard stepped back.

"We just need a new plan, a new way of searching", The prince suggested.

Suddenly, from a tree leaped an unknown girl.

"Guns!", the prince called out as the guards circled around him with rifles up.

The girl grinned, "No need for guns, I just want to help".

"And who are you?", the prince lifted one eyebrow.

"I think you're asking the wrong questions", she chuckled.

"But just so you could remember who led you to the princess, I'll tell you, I'm Sheila", she smiled revealing some of her fangs.

"Y-you're an animal!", the prince stated in curiosity.

"And I can do way worse than just talk, I get you the princess and you leave the forest, deal", Sheila brought out her hand.

The prince hesitated before realizing that getting a hold of you was the most important thing.

"Deal!", the prince shook Sheila's hand.

Sheila was glad, if nothing else was getting you to leave so soon, this time, it was going to be done for sure and things would go back to the way they were when you weren't around and she still had her hold on Jungkook.

Sheila smirked just thinking about how smoothly this was all going to go.
