Diana saw him in the distance. She thought he was just another member of the hunting party at the Spencer estate.

She slowly started making her way across the plowed field. But began to lose her footing and almost landed face down in the mud.

"Hold on!" The man called, "I'll come over to help you!"

"No it's okay!" She laughed. But he was already riding towards her. As he came into view she gasped.

When he stopped his horse she performed an awkward curtsy, "your royal highness, I'm so sorry I didn't recognize you." She blushed.

"No, no. It's alright. No need for formality's. You must be Diana?" Prince Charles asked.

"Yes sir."

"Your sister talks about you quite often."

"Oh really, Sara?" Sara had been dating the Prince for a little while.

"Yes, now let me help you across the felid." And with that he began to assist her and she walked across the thick mud.

Diana frantically put on her makeup while her flat mates did her hair.

"I still can't believe the Prince of Wales asked me on a date." She exclaimed.

The girls laughed and gossiped about him.

10 minutes later a car arrived and Diana climbed inside. Charles sat there, along with her grandmother who was chosen as a chaperone for the evening.

They arrived at the theater and made their way to the royal box. The concert started and the beautiful sound of the cello drifted through the hall. But Diana wasn't really paying attention to it, the Prince held her full attention.

When he caught her staring at him, she quickly looked away and blushes, moving a piece of hair behind her ear, making the Prince grin.

Diana sat across from the Prince at the dinner table. The fire light reflected onto his and face Diana thought he couldn't look anymore handsome. She looked down at her napkin so he wouldn't see her cheeks growing red. But it was too late. He reached across the table and took her hand.

"You know Diana. I've been thinking about the future a lot lately and I think it's time to settle down and get married. Will you do the honor of being my wife?"

Diana laughed, the future king of England had just proposed to her and she laughed. She tried to stop but she couldn't. For some reason the idea of her, 19 year old Diana Spencer, marrying the Prince of Wales was amusing.

He stood up and walked towards her. "Now I want you to think about this. If you say yes, you'll be the future queen of England and your life will never be the same."

Diana composed herself. "Yes! Of corse I'll marry you! I'm in love with you!" She stood up and kissed him.

After they broke apart he said, "what ever in love means."

The camera shutters clicked around them. Diana wore a blue blouse with a matching skirt. They where performing their customary engagement interview.

"May we see the ring ma'am?" One of the interviewers asked.

"Of corse." She held it too the camera. It was a beautiful, large sapphire, with many diamonds surrounding it.

"How did you two meet?" Another asked.

"It's an amusing story." The Prince spoke, "we meet in a plowed field."

"And what was your reaction to her?"

"Well I just remember thinking what a jolly, amusing and attractive 16 year old she was." Charles laughed.

Diana blushed.

"And may I say you two look very much in love."

"Oh yes of corse." Diana nodded.

"What ever in love means." Charles said for the second time.

Diana held her fathers arm as she walked down the aisle. Her dress was large and awkward but she had practiced and looks very graceful. She glanced around at all the guest, who, in turn where looking at her.

She spotted a guest she did not expect. Camilla Parker Bowles. Charles had told her they where just friends but Diana had her doubts. Days before the wedding she found a bracelet he was going to give her that had an F and a G engraved onto it. It stood for Fred and Gladys, their pet names for one another.

But she looked ahead to Charles standing at the end of the aisle and all her worries disappeared. She was the most envied women in the world, about to marry the future king of England.

When she reached the alter he whispered in her ear, "you look beautiful."

She blushed, "beautiful for you."

And then they exchanged their wedding vows and where made husband and wife.

Charles was working in his office when there was a knock on the door. "Do come in." He said.

Diana walked in. She seemed nervous.

"What is it dear?" He asked.

"I know it's soon..." she paused and collected her thoughts, "I know we just got married only a couple months ago, but I'm expecting."

Charles froze, shocked.

"What's wrong Charles?" She asked, immediately worried that he wasn't happy.

"Nothing!" He stood up and walked towards her. "This is wonderful news!" He hugged her and kissed the top of her head.

"We are going to be parents!" He said joyfully.

Diana yelled out in pain as another contraction hit her. Charles sat next to her, holding her hand. "Just a little bit more ma'am." The nurse said.

Diana nodded. This pregnancy had been hell and she was glad to get it over with.

Just then she heard crying. The nurse handed her a tiny little baby rapped in a blue blanket. "Congratulations ma'am, it's a boy."

Tears began to spill from her eyes, tears of joy. "Look at him Charles..." she said, "he's perfect."

Charles looked down at his wife and son and love filled him. "What should we call him?" He asked.

"I want a more modern name, but I would still like to include some of your names in his." She thought for a moment, "what about William?"

"It's perfect." Charles said.

"William Arthur Philip Louis."

Diana paced back and forth, waiting for Charles to come back into the room. They where about to go to bed but she had to tell him the news first.

The door opened and he walked in. "What is wrong Diana?" He asked, noticing her pacing.

"Charles, I have some wonderful news... I'm pregnant again!" She exclaimed.

"Wonderful!" He kissed her. "I do hope this one is a girl, I've always wanted a baby girl."

"I will try my best dear." She laughed.

Diana held the ginger haired boy in her arms. Charles walked in, he had not been present at this birth. "It's a boy darling." She said, looking down at her son.

"Oh and he even has orange hair." He joked.

"Are you not happy?" Diana asked him, suddenly upset.

"Well I was hoping for a girl, but we can have one next time."

Diana was offended by his words. "He's your son! You should love him!"

"And I do, I was just expressing my wishes. You don't need to cause a scene Diana."

"Cause a scene?!" She was upset, "I just spent hours in labor to give birth to your son and your not happy with him!"

"Honestly, you twist my words." He stormed out of the room, leaving Diana with tears in her eyes.

"Charles!" Diana called as she walked into his office. "Where were you this weekend?" She questioned him.

"I already told you, Camilla invited me to a hunting party at her estate."

"A hunting party?!"

"Yes darling."

"Do you honestly expect me to believe that?!" She was upset, every other weekend it seemed he went to her house.

"Well it's the truth."

"And three weeks ago when you apparently went to Highgrove to see friends? I know you where with her!"

"Diana honestly, your behaving like a child."

❛ ━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━ ❜

"Diana, ma wants to see us." Charles called to his wife from the next room.

No reply.

"Diana!" He called again, but still nothing. He walked into the room to find her laying in bed.

"It's 11 am and your still not up yet?"

She simply shrugged and looked out the window.

"You can't keep up this behavior. People gossip you know, they say that you are not well..." he tapped his forehead, "not well in the head."

"And might they be right?" Diana replied glumly.

"Anytime I try to help you, you act like a child and throw a tantrum."

"And maybe that's because I have a husband, who instead of loving me, and spending time with me, would rather go off with another women!" She yelled.

"I don't know what your talking about." He rolled his eyes.

"Yes you do! Admit it, you see her almost every weekend!"

"Because she's a close friend!"

"Close friend indeed."
