Jungkook's POV:
Where was she?!
I looked down at my watch once more as I stood inside the main entrance to the ballroom. The dinner party had started ten minutes ago. People were still arriving, so it really wasn't that big of a deal, but I worried. After all that had happened with me ending up in the hospital, was she truly safe by herself?
I reached into the pocket of my tux and pulled out my cell. Going back to my texts, I re-read the text she had sent me twenty minutes ago.
"I'm sorry Jungkook! Running a little behind! Be there soon!"
How long was 'soon'? Maybe I should call her. I shifted weight onto my other foot and eyed the phone some more. Maybe just a text? That wouldn't be pushing it, would it? Damn it! Maybe I was just nervous about this whole dinner. I clicked my phone screen off and tucked it back into my pants pocket.
Jimin had arrived with his date, whoever she was, about ten minutes ago and had informed me that while I was out of town earlier for a meeting, he was out caravan-ing with my wife. Yeah. That went over well. I almost punched him in the face right then, but I knew that wouldn't do me any good right now.
With the way he was saying how Y/N was looking forward to tonight, I couldn't afford to ruin it before she even got here.
I pulled back my sleeve again slightly to glance once more at my watch. Oh come on! Where was she!? It's been five more minutes...That's it, I was going to call-
"Jungkook!"
The harmonious sound of my wife's voice pulled me to look up and see her small frame and large smile coming towards me.
I seriously couldn't breathe. Or think. Or... holy shit, did my heart stop beating!?
There before me, adorned in the most elegant looking, yet simple dress was the most beautiful women I had ever laid eyes on. Y/N's dress had a sweetheart neckline, coming down and fitting her breasts perfectly. The dress was silver and white, and came down to her mid thigh in the front, while the back of it came down to the back of her knees and to the ankle. It had beautiful and yet simple silver lace over the dress part, while the top was cut off and with a swirl type design. You could almost say it looked like feathers, but yet not. A belt like part of the dress hugged her ribs under her breasts and created a beautiful drape like effect to her hips.
Her feet were slipped into a silver heels that were open except for straps holding her feet to it. Her makeup was done lightly yet her eyes looked big and mesmerizing. Her hair was curled lightly, all of it falling down across her shoulders that called me to come over kiss them. And her neckline was adorned in a simple but elegant necklace, with matching earrings. But with everything done to her, the one thing that caught me the most, was the bright smile that rested on her lips and the joy that shone through her eyes.
I was done for.
"Y/N..." I spoke, finally finding my voice. It came out scruffy and deep. I cleared my throat and reached out to take her hands in my own. She didn't pull away, but allowed me to pull them up to my lips and kiss them softly.
"You... you look good."
The raised brow and hesitation on her face told me that
wasn't the right thing to say. Shit!
"Just.. good?" she asked.
"No. Better than good."
I growled at myself and sighed.
"Sorry. I'm at a loss for words right now."
The smile that came across her face told me that was the right thing to say. I wished that would have brought me relief, but my body still felt stiff and... a bit excited.
Ahem. ( อกยฐ อส อกยฐ)
"You look very handsome as well." She spoke.
"Just handsome?" I joked, making her chuckle lightly.
"No, more than handsome." She blushed.
Feeling more a man than I ever had before, I held out my arm and she instantly slipped her arm through it. It felt so natural having her there on my arm, I couldn't seem to pay attention to anyone but her.
"I'm surprised, you're a bit taller than usual." I teased.
She gasped lightly and looked up at me. "You calling me shor- ugh!"
Y/N stopped short and almost fell if it wasn't for my arm holding her steady. A couple had moved right in front of us and wasn't paying attention. We bumped into them.
"I'm sorry-" Y/N started to say when the couple turned around.
I glared. "Eugene? Namjoon?"
The woman named Eugene, who I had never met, eyed my wife up and down in surprise. Sure that didn't bother me, but when I saw Namjoon's eyes do the same, but taking his time doing so, I wanted to go over there and throat punch him.
"Y/N?! Is that really you?" Eugene's annoying voice brought me back to my wife's side.
Y/N's grip got tighter on my arm.
"Likewise." she spoke shortly.
"Yes, you look beautiful, Lee." Namjoon interjected, sending a glare my way.
Seriously, if Y/N wasn't on my arm right now, I would kick his ass.
But no. I needed to be here for my wife. This was the bullshit I didn't want her to have to deal with. And she even went out of her way to look nice for me,, so I needed to protect her from assholes like him. I slid my hand down and intertwined my fingers with hers, holding her hand.
Y/N looked down at it and then back up at me. I gave her a soft smile, telling her I was here and everything was going to be alright. She wasn't alone in this.
"Well, now that we all established how amazing my wife looks, we should be getting to our table."
I looked down at her. "Right, love?"
With a look that I took to heart, Y/N nodded.
"Yes."
I tore my gaze from hers and looked towards them, Eugene eyeing us both carefully, a bit stunned I would say. Namjoon just narrowed his eyes as if to warn me. Ha! Like anything he did ever scared me.
With that, I went forward with Y/N by my side, never releasing her hand.

Y/N's POV:
What was happening!? Oh my god...
I couldn't deny it any longer. I was no longer falling in love with Jungkook.
I was in love with him.
The way my heart swelled when I saw him all dressed up and waiting for me. Or the way he looked worried and was about to call me, or the way he took my hand, right in front of Namjoon and gave me butterflies. The way he protected me when I didn't know how to protect myself.
I loved him.
Oh my god. How could this have happened!? I mean, he was nothing like the type I usually go for! Plus I swore I would never be with anyone that was jock-like. Yet, he might have the looks, but he was nothing like a jock. No, those horrid past memories defined nothing about Jungkook. And... even though I didn't want to admit it... even though I fought it tooth and nail inside... I was so attracted to him.
I mean, how could you not find that tall, broad, muscular body of his attractive? I mean, yes, he towered over me, and I could easily be crushed under the giant of man that he was, but I found it more appealing that I ever thought possible.
What had went wrong?!
This wasn't supposed to happen. I wasn't supposed to feel this way, or even care for this man. But here I was, feeling more attracted and more in love with Jungkook than I ever did with Namjoon. This was different. This was real. Jungkook accepted me for me, and by the way he looked at me, made me feel wanted.
Adored.
Damn. I needed to breathe.
Jungkook led me into the ballroom portion of this large hotel outside the city where the entire dinner party was to being held.
I could't help but let my jaw drop at the beauty of it all. The mass of people was large, and I drew myself closer to Jungkook so I wouldn't be separated from him. The tables were all set up with gold colored drapes, and the plates were fine china. The lighting was comfortable and relaxing, and there were servers going around taking orders of those who already sat down. Others were still up and greeting each other. The room was so large, there was even a place in the very front where the mayor was able to speak, and a large dancing area with a DJ. The bar was off to the side.
"This is an amazing place, Jungkook." I told him, still taking it all in.
"You think so?"
"Oh yes. This is beautiful. I love the design."
He stopped me and looked around for a moment, then his brown eyes found mine.
"This is one of my hotels, Lee."
I swear my jaw almost hit the ground.
"You're kidding me! This is yours?!" I asked, beyond surprised and impressed.
"Yes. That's why I allowed everyone to stay a night here for free."
"Jungkook... that's unbelievable... truly." I tried to express how amazing it was, but I didn't know which words to use.
"Thank you." he nodded and eyed the area as if it was one of his own children.
"It's not my favorite one, but it's one of the most recent ones I created. Honestly, I do hope to expand more outside of just hotels, but I haven't found the right timing yet."
I squeezed his hand and smiled at him.
"You can do it, Jungkook. You can do anything."
"So can you, future Mrs. Doctor."
I blushed as my heart leapt. Sure, that sounded amazing, but I wasn't so sure I was ever going to make that dream happen. But no matter, I wouldn't worry about that tonight.
"Ahh, so this must be the famous mysterious wife of yours, Jeon."
A bit shorter man smirked and held out a hand towards Jungkook.
Jungkook released my hand and took his and shook it. I held my own out, remembering his face from the paper and from Jungkook's meeting log.
"It's a pleasure, Mr. Jung Hoseok." He took my hand as well with a raised brow.
"Well, I'm impressed. You know who I am, little lady?"
I smiled and even felt Jungkook's eyes on me. Was he impressed as well?
"Of course. You own the chain of convenience stores all over the state. Or so Jungkook has told me."
The man, who was well into his thirties, laughed good
heartedly.
"Well Jungkook, she's a keeper. I like her, and she's gorgeous to boot."
Winking at me and then shaking Jungkook's hand again, he took off and went off to speak to another person.
"And you just impressed one of the most influential men here in the state."
"And what about you? Did I impress you?"
I asked him, curiously and I almost hated myself for even asking, until I heard his answer.
"Impressed? No. Amazed, yes. Surprisingly often too."
With his adorning words and mixed with his deep voice, I couldn't help but blush. It did help matters any when he reached over and slid his large hand into mine once again. God, there was that strange flip my stomach did again. And was it hot in here, or was it just me? I felt as if this night so far was a dream and I really didn't want it to end.
Where was that awkward man Jungkook had described to me before? Tonight, and recently I might add, it was as if he knew what he was doing, what he wanted, and wasn't hesitating to go for it. All that talk about not being good around women, or how to act... he had to have been mistaken.
"Thanks."
"Well now that you have impressed Jung Hoseok, let's see how you fair with others. Care to join me? There are some partners of mine I would like you to meet."
I couldn't help but smile at him. The nerves in my stomach were growing, but with how he gave me confidence, and how he wouldn't leave my side, I felt as if I could take on the world.
"You want me them?" I asked, sounding happy. But then, I frowned playfully.
"Just remember I didn't memorize that many pictures of people."
With a light laugh he grinned.
"No need, I'll be doing all the introductions, Love."
Love?

What seemed like a few moments was actually more like an hour. Jungkook had taken me around to so many different people and introduced me as his wife. As they all eyed me cautiously, I couldn't help but be proud and honored to be his wife.
Some accepted me instantly, others eh, no so much.
Yet I found myself not really caring. I was kind and smiled and was enjoying every moment spent next to the large rock beside me.
Finally as everyone started to settle down, Jungkook leaned down and came close to my ear.
"Would you like a drink?"
Feeling the heat creep right back onto my face, I nodded in response. He held out his large hand yet again, but this time leaving it up to me to take it. I gave him a small smile and rested my upon it and then slid my fingers through his.
Jungkook's hand engulfed mine and I saw a glimpse of that genuine smile I have only seen a few times.
With that said, he took my hand and lead me towards the bar off to the side. The bartender, I remembered his name was Kim Taehyung, smiled at us as we approached and nodded at us.
"Mr. and Mrs. Jeon. What can I get for you?"
Ahh, that name.
"Whiskey and Coke, double please and for the Mrs..."
he looked at me and grinned then looked back at the man behind the counter.
"...how about twisted margarita."
I couldn't help but remove my hand and cross my arms over my chest in playfulness. Moments from the first time we met came flashing back to my memory and I recalled him buying me a couple of those. They were my favorite that night.
"Jeon Jungkook, are you trying to get me drunk again? We both know how that turned out."
He grinned. Those damn tempting lips on that sharp scruffy jaw of his.
"Why of course not Jeon Y/N. Just trying to keep you relaxed."
I raised a brow. "Is that so?"
The bartender gave us both our drinks and I picked it up and took a sip. I groaned slightly.
"My goodness this is just as good as I remember."
I watched Jungkook take a drink of his own, and then I let my eyes roam over the ballroom. People were still mingling and chatting away, creating a loud mix of voices along with the music that was playing. This was such an amazing night.
That's
