You were about to fall asleep. You were waiting for Heeseung but he never came.

'ugh why did i say that' you groaned. Suddenly the door opened. You sat up.

"Opps, Did i woke you up?" heeseung said as he came in, hugging his 2 pillows.

'wtf, adorable'

"Kinda" you replied when you saw him awkwardy walking.

"Sorry, you can go back to sleep. I Will just sleep in the floor" he said.

"You know there's a couch there right?" you pointed to the couch near the window. 

You bought that a few days after moving in. Sunghoon helped you carry it to your bedrom.

"Ouh" he picked up his pillows and walked to the couch. He sat on in.

"ooo comfy" he said and you chuckled.

"Hold on" you got up and went to your closet. You took out an extra blanket. You asked the housekeeper to gave you an extra one just in case.

'who knows it would be useful right now'

"Here" you passed it to him.

"Thank you" he unfold it and laid down. You closed the light which automatically made the stars glowed bright. You smiled and laid down to get a better view.

"Its beautiful" heeseung said.

"My hardwork paid off" you said, admiring the stars.

"Im sorry if i made you mad" you said, playing with your fingers.

"Its okay. Just please listen to me next time.." he said and you heard him sighed.

"I've learnt my lesson" you said and he suddenly laughed.

"Good" you turned to take a look at him. He was staring at the stars too. You smile.

"Can i ask you a question?" you wanted to bring up the topic about his ex.

"Sure" he said, putting his arm on his head. [youknow how-_-]

"Do you not miss your ex? I mean..you even killed her..Didn't you loved her?" you slowly asked. Even in the dark, you know he became sad when he heard your question.

"Uhm.." he said, trying to figure out the words to say to you.

"Im sorry. You don't have to answer my question" you quickly said, You didn't want to ruin the mood.

"No no. Its fine. Uhh.. of course, i loved her. She was my first love and first girlfriend afterall. But when i know she was about to destroy this organisation that i've worked so hard for, i got angry and...heartbroken"

"I didn't know the girl i loved would be an undercover and would try to kill me. So before she had the chance to, i killed her first" he explained slowly.

Your heart dropped. You felt bad.

'I couldn't imagine the pain he had to go through. If Jake, did that to me, i would never have the courage to even point the gun at him'

"So it took me quite a while to move on. Sunghoon was with me the whole time, im so grateful to him. That's why i agreed to help you when Sunghoon brought you here and asked for a favor" he continued.

"Hmph, It that the only reason why you helped me?" you joked to brighten up the mood.

He laughed. "It was at first, but now, its for a different reason" he said and you kept quiet.

'what does he mean' you stared at the stars.

"Remember when i said i have feelings for you?" he asked. You stayed quiet.

"I was being serious" he confessed. He noticed that you got quiet and changed the topic.

"Anyway.."

"What about you? What actually happened to you that you have to run away? I know that your ex fiance isn't the only reason. Tell me everything" he said turned his body to face you. 

You smiled, still facing the ceiling,

"Uhm..when i was a little kid, i didn't had the love i always wanted from my parents. They hit me and yelled at me when things go wrong. They always favored my 2 sisters"

"In school, i was just an average girl. I always watch the popular couple hold hands and walk around as if they ruled the school. Then one day i saw the popular guy crying at the beach. So i comforted him and i found out he got cheated on and then broke up."

"Then we talked for days and..you know the rest. Then we dated. He made me happy. He made sure that i wasn't alone to go through my pain at home" 

you started tearing up at the thought of Jake. Heeseung was just staring at you.

"He always try to convince me to run away from home with him. But he had a mother at home, waiting for him. so i didn't have the heart to. Then one day, i got told that i was adopted. So basically they were my step family"

"If i had known that, i would have left that house long ago. I wouldn't have tried to get their love. But Jake comforted me. he said it wasn't wrong to be adopted. So of cource i fell for him harder"

you laughed as a tear roll down.

Heeseung noticed and went to you. You made space for him and he sat down beside you.

"My mom and dad didn't came home and pushed their responsibilty as a parent to me. So i had to take care of my two younger sisters. We got closer and I forgave them"

"We went to eat waffles and ice cream, it was supposed to be a happy day when i got harrassed by the waiter. I couldn't remember his name though.." you said and cried harder.

 Heeseung looked shock and hugged you.

"But like a fairytale, Jake came and helped me. He punched the idiot. Then when my life was finally about to get better, my mother blowed up my sisters. Her own daughters"

"My parents didn't even come to their funeral.. Anyway, Jake help me move on and all. Then he was about to propose to me when my mom hit him with her car. It was a hit and run. That was my last straw" you laughed through the pain. 

"Then my sadness turned to anger, anger turned to revenge. Then i killed my mom, cops started chasing after me, then here i am"

 "Here with you. with sunghoon, jay, sunoo,jungwon and niki. Im truly grateful and happy to be here. I became happier. i am happier, but now that man showed up out of nowhere" 

you got frustrated and hugged your knees. Heeseung hugged you tight.

"Im sorry, i poured all of that to you" you said wiping your tears.

"No, im happy you opened up to me" he said, carassing your head.

"Im here to protect you now, i might not protect you like Jake, but i will try my best. You trust me, don't you?"  he asked and you nod.

"But heeseung.." you said.

"About your confession. Could you give me some time?" you looked at him.

He paused. "Of course, i will wait for you no matter what" stroke your hair.

"Let's kill him together, with the guys" you suddenly said and killed the mood.

"him? your father?" he was speechless.

"Yes" you were dead serious. 

"okay.. but to do that, you have to listen to me and rest. Get that wound to heal up first, alright?" he smacked your head.

You chuckled. "okay okay" you lied down.

"let's kill that waiter too" he suddenly said.

"should we?" you joked.

"Okay, let's find him as soon as we can" he said.

"Wait, are you serious?" you sat up and look at him.

"Nothing can stop me now. Would you stop me?" he seemed angry at the waiter.

"..no" you said when his face turned serious.

"Good! Now go to sleep" he said and stood up to walk back to the couch.

You blushed. 

'even though he was aready sitting on my bed, he still went back to the couch..?' 

you laughed to yourself.

"One more question" you sat up again and you hear him groaned.

"Did you just 'ugh' me?" you look at him.

"Nope! Not at all" he laughed and you rolled your eyes.

"It will be quick" you told him.

"Okayokay. Ask" he sat up.

"Are we really safe now that we both faked our death? I mean they could check our fingerprints and realise the corps are fake" you asked.

"Hanee, i use some kind of technology to match their fingerprints with ours. Its like magic. But not me of course, i paid a company to help me" he said and he yawned.

"Company? What company?" you got curious.

"NCT/NCIT. Neo Culture Technology." he explained. [engenezen, where yall at!]

"They have advanced technology though. They are also a mafia, but they use technology to help them. We are business partners basically. They are undercover like us. ENHEPT, clothing brand, NCIT, a college. Sunghoon and Jungwoo from there, are friends? They have their own units there but that's another story" he continued.

"How many of them are there?" you were really curious.

"There's 23 of them...why are you so curious about this?" he was confused.

"I was making sure we really are safe" you said and gave a sigh of relief.

'nct huh, sounds cool'

"Hmph, you're doubting me. Anyway, please sleep" he said and pulled the blanket over him.

"Hehe okay. Goodnight" you said and covered your body with the blanket too.

You close your eyes. You just know that tonight, there will be no nightmares.
