You couldn't believe it. Macaque. The name gave you a sick feeling in your stomach. You hadn't seen him in forever. You had seen his first meeting with MK though, you had watched from atop one of the surrounding rocky mountains. You were less than pleased when you saw him take MK's powers and try to destroy him with it. Needless to say, you had sighed in relief when Monkey King had shown up. After that sight, you had felt uneasy about how cruel he now was. He was more of the quiet and shy kind back then, so to see him so brutally attack MK and Wukong was unsettling. He had obviously changed, but not for the better. Now you were about to face him, and you were not excited about it.

Another blast rang out on the deck, as you skillfully leaped away from it. The blow had thrown MK on the side of the ship. You rushed over to get him back on his feet, as Monkey King started taunting Macaque. "Oh, that's a relief. I thought it was someone important." You sent him a harsh glare. Was he trying to make the situation worse!? Macaque didn't seem too fazed by his snarky remark, only letting a chuckle escape his mouth. "Heh, always the comedian." He craned his head to look over at MK, who had his arm around your shoulder. You just looked down, knowing he would recognize you as soon as his eyes land on you. "Hey kiddo, ya miss me? Who's your frie-" Macaque paused when his gaze noticed your figure. You sighed and looked back up at him, letting his eyes widen when they met yours "Y/N?" He whispered to himself. What were you doing there? "No! Guys, get us outta here!" MK yelled out to the rest, getting an affirmative yell back. Macaque noticed this, and broke out of his thoughts to laugh, before his face shifted into one of burning anger. Talk about mood change.

He fired at the ship as they tried to escape, forcing those on the deck to repeatedly dodge in order to not get blown into smithereens. The ship shook and rocked violently, trying to maneuver its way away from the lasers that were shot towards it. You tried to shield MK as best as you could, rolling away and jumping into the air and landing perfectly on the ground while still holding him. The ship flew high up into the air, above the clouds, and thankfully wasn't moving around as much. "Monkey King, you've gotta do something!" MK yelled to his mentor, who in return scratched his cheek. "So... yeah, I'd love to, but I kinda sort of used the last bit of my powers getting thi-" Wukong sweat dropped as he noticed his hand was empty and looked around. "I've got the map, Wukong. You gave it to me." You deadpanned, making him look over at you and chuckle.

Macaque unfortunately caught up to the ship and fired at all of you before disappearing into the purple clouds. You let go of MK, seeing as how he was trying to wriggle his way out of your grip. As much as he enjoyed being in your hold, he couldn't just sit there and let Macaque pose as a threat to you. "Hoo hoo, looking a little banged up there, Monkey King. The kid too. Looks like our old friend, the Lady Bone Demon, really did a number on you guys. And we can't forget about our dear friend Y/N. Where've you been?" His voice echoed throughout the deck, as you stood in alarm, looking around the sky. You had fliched when Wukong used his tail to drop you behind him, looking into the sky with a harsh glare and a smirk. "So, what? You're her puppet now? I mean, makes sense. You did always have a sidekick kinda vibe." You punched Wukong in the shoulder hard, making him wince and look back at you with a chuckle, an annoying smirk still stretched across his face. "What?"

The purple jet then dove in at them from behind, making a strong blow of wind leave the tree to duck down. Macaque jumped down on Monkey King and pinned him down. You leaped away from them, looking at the two in shock. "You know me, as a new player in town, I'm just feeling out which one is the winning side." Macaque noticed MK leap at him from behind with a metal pipe, and kicked Monkey King in the stomach, sending him flying back. Macaque turned around to hold up MK by the throat. "Not smart, bud." You grunted, watching as MK struggled while being held in the air, not getting in much room to breathe.

You did understand why Macaque went for Monkey King, but it was stopping your mission. You didn't want to have to fight him, but you would if you had to. Monkey King was soon piled on by Macaque's shadow monkeys, being held. Macaque laughed at the two, seemingly not noticing how you were about punch him from behind him. The next thing you knew, you were pinned down against the railing, and Macaque stood over you, his hands on either side of the railing. Another shadow monkey held MK by the throat in the air.

'A clone!?' You thought, forced to stare up at your former partner. You tried to push against Macaque's chest, making him let out and amused laugh. Your hands went to your belt, as you grabbed the chains that hung onto it. Before you could use them, Macaque's hands grabbed yours and forced you to let go of your weapon. He put his hands back to their position on the railing. Trying to wrench yourself free from his grip, you grunted. You could hear MK's and Wukong's scream out your name as you struggled.

"So, you come back after centuries of being gone, and join the other side. That hurts you know." He spoke tauntingly as you glared at him, not answering. He scowled at your silence, tightening his grip on your wrists, making you wince. That would definitely leave a bruise. "Do you know how painful it was, knowing that I would never see you again? And now I see you joining his side." Macaque glanced at Wukong, who was giving him a death glare as he tried to break free from the shadow clones. Macaque returned the glare, before putting all his attention on you as yo started to speak. "I'm not on his side. I'm not on anyone's side but my own." "Oh really?" "Yes really. Just because I'm helping him reforge the fire, doesn't mean I'm completely on his side. I've made it my responsibility that no major harm comes to the world, and if I have to work with him to achieve my goal, then so be it." You growled, before continuing to try and pull your hands away from his strong grip.

Macaque looked deeply into your eyes for any kind of deception, and sighed when he realized you were speaking the truth. Your words seemed to reassure him slightly, his hands softening against your wrists. His grip was still tight enough to keep you still, but it didn't hurt as much as when he was upset. "I see. You don't know how glad I am to hear that." He leaned in closer to you, making you lean back as much as you could, which wasn't able to keep a lot of distance between you two. His voice had softened. His face was inches away from yours. "It's been so long. I can see you haven't changed one bit, Y/N." His warm breath tickled your face, as you shivered. Your eyes then widened as he pecked you on the cheek, before stepping back, and summoning another one of his shadow clones pin your back against the railing. Macaque then directed his attention to MK and Monkey King, who tried to fight their way out of his shadow clone's hold.

Monkey King was furious, as he thrashed to escape the shadow monkeys. How DARE Macaque do that to you before him. It honestly looked like Macaque was trying to get on his nerves, which worked. MK was also upset, not as upset as Wukong, but still glared at Macaque in anger. He hated seeing you pinned to the railing, groaning in pain at the way the clone made you press your back against the steel. You looked so uncomfortable. Macaque could see their angered faces and chuckled, walking up to them. "The two of you are such a mess. I can't imagine why the Bone Demon wants me to bring you back." He turned to MK. "Look at you, you're all used up."

The shadow monkey holding MK was about to throw him onto the ground, only to get blasted by a green light. Macaque dodged and light went past them and destroyed the shadow monkey holding down Wukong. The shadow holding you looked back at the commotion, giving you time to kick it away, and use your chains to turn it into a mere puff of purple smoke. Macaque sweat dropped and looked back and to see Mei, pointing her sword at him. "Interesting." He said, before she repeatedly continued to blast at him. He skillfully dodged every attempt to throw him off the ship. He jumped high into the air and landed on the railing closest to him.

"You want to get to my monkeys, you gotta go through me first!" Mei yelled, pointing at herself. MK, you, and Monkey King stood behind her. You gave her an appreciative smile, that she noticed, and kindly smiled at you back. "Ah-" Macaque smirked, walking across the railing, with his hands behind his back. Your stance stiffened when he kept coming closer. "You must be the Dragon Girl I've heard so little about." He jumped off of the railing, still having that mocking smirk on his face. "Little girl, you can shoot me all you want. It won't do you any good." Mei growled, slightly stepping back while pointing her sword at him, still glaring at the shadow monkey. MK slid in front of her, a metal pipe in one of his hands as he rested it over his shoulder. "Maybe not. But hey, you want to make an omelet, sometimes you gotta break a few engines."

.   .   .

"Uh, what?" Macaque looked at MK weirdly as he posed. You glanced at Wukong, who glanced back at you in return. You looked at him confused, and he only shrugged, feeling the same confusion you were. "I-I don't know. I thought it was cool. Just- whatever!" MK threw the piece of metal at Macaque, who casually dodged it. "Whoa, didn't see that one coming." He laughed, before letting out a surprised hum when the engine on the side of the ship had the pipe jammed into it. The engine then exploded, tipping the ship over to one side. The impact threw Macaque off, and sent him crashing down beneath the clouds, no longer visible.

You used your chains to wrap around the railing, to help you not fall off the ship. You were about to go after MK, who was sliding down, but sighed in relief when Mei went after him, and planted her sword into the deck and MK cling to her leg. Wukong jumped down and landed on the railing, making you follow. "Kid, why did you-"

"Uh, well yeah, I-I was trying to do you in the omelet story. Do the weird, impulsive Monkey King thing and escape the bad guy?"

"Well, I mean, Ne Zha ain't really a bad guy-" You nodded at Monkey King's statement, before taking over. "-but did you forget about the part where he got really hurt?" A loud bang escaped from the ship, as all the engines caught aflame. MK let out a yelp at the loud noise, as the ship started to lose flight and descend down below the clouds at an alarming speed.

You heard someone in the distance yelling something along the lines of holding onto your bricks, which you didn't get, until the ship started to head for the ocean. You heard MK mutter an 'uh oh,' as ship was moments away from sinking into the water. A pair of arms wrapped around your figure, and Wukong pulled you against his chest and covered you with his body the best he could, as screams rang out from everyone on the ship. The ship then crashed through the body of water.

(Quick thing. This week, school is ending at 1pm, so I can get off early and write more. However, next week I will be doing something that will take up a ton of my time. I might get to write a little, but don't expect to many, or even any posts between April 4th to April 10th. I'll announce this in my 'Conversations' the day before my time gets taken up.)
