Angelica's POV

"It's okay, I was the one who caused all of it anyways. So, we're both at fault." We chuckled a bit and I continued, "But if you're still hiding something from me, you can tell it at the right time. Okay?" Jonathan just nods, I hear something besides us and it's Alexander. He shifts back to being a wolf and Anita stops her from getting away.

"Don't go just yet," Anita says.

"Listen to her, Alexander. We can still help you," I said and dialed Angelique's number again, she came in time and treated his wounds. I'm glad this thing is over, but something is bugging me. It's like I still don't feel safe like there's someone around us. Watching us, from afar. As she finished dressing his wounds, we went to a vet here in Spain and got him medicated. Some people are watching us, mostly Jonathan because of his bloodied hands and also Anita, and lastly, the child.

"Deja de mirarnos, luchamos contra varias personas para salvar a este animal. Caso cerrado," Anita says, they all look away and continued what they're doing.

"Pagaremos por todo, de todos modos, ΒΏdΓ³nde estΓ‘ el baΓ±o?" Jonathan asks, the lady points at the end of the hallway and both of them leave. Leaving me, with Angelique and Maxwell on my side.

"Okay, so what just happened?"

"A lot, and I'm going to tell you about it when we go home."

"Okay," she says, Maxwell falls asleep and Carmelita is worried about what happened to the kid. When we were told to leave for the night, we all agreed and went home. That's when I started talking about what happened, what Alexander is after, Anita's background, and this teenager who speaks French. Carmelita called a lot of doctors to operate on the kid and I went outside the building for them to do their thing, I sucked a deep breath in and released a shaky sigh.

"What a day, is it?" Maxwell suddenly shows up out of nowhere.

"You could've killed me with you not announcing yourself," I said and pushed him a bit, he laughed and pushed me back. I didn't feel myself falling until someone caught me, it was Jonathan.

"Yikes, sorry about that. Kind of forgot that you're a human," he sheepishly says and wanders off then stops, "Anyways, if Anita is here... Where's Tyler?" he asks, Jonathan shrugs his shoulders and so do I.

"About him, who's he?" I asked Maxwell, but he didn't answer my question and continued to wander back inside the building.

"You'll get used to Maxwell's stubbornness and his childish demeanor one day," Jonathan says and wraps me with his body, "Which reminds me... I should give you this." A necklace that I made back then when I first met him, still has the same chime and I smile at it.

"I'm thankful you still have it in you, but..." I removed it, "This is a remembrance of our first meeting and probably my first gift to you, so you should keep it. Give me other things though," I winked and elbowed him.

"Fine, what do you want?" he asks, I think deeply and nothing comes to my mind. So I started joking around.

"A wedding ring?" Jonathan looks wildly at me, "What? You don't want to?"

"What? No, of course not. When do we buy?" he asks, but in return, I just laugh.

"You're naΓ―ve sometimes," I said.

"Said the girl who got herself into some sort of trouble," he retorted, I just rolled my eyes and continued.

"Date me first, let's say... For 100 days, deal?"

"100 days?" Jonathan starts to playfully scratch his head and he puckers his lip on the right, he rubs his chin as though he is thinking about it.

"Come on, I know you do."

"I do," he says and picks me up, "and I want to do this too." he puts his lips to mine, I gladly accept it and we parted.

"So, do you think it's done?" I asked him, and he put me down and sighed.

"Unfortunately, no. The man that we talked about," he says, right, the CEO of Gidae Mall is still around. I don't know what'll happen with the ratings now that he's still somewhere.

"Oh, right. That guy, but maybe he's just a stalker of mine probably."

"You have stalkers? When did you start having that?"

"Pretty sure it's before I met you," I said.

"Okay," Jonathan says and looks at the building, "I don't know who that kid was, nor what he's saying... But I hope he's doing okay. He might be traumatized about it, so I'll try my best to understand him."

"You've changed a lot," I said.

"You just don't know me yet," he says, "Y'know, when I first met Monica and other people. I had this very feeling of mine that I want to help them with my best intentions to make them go on about their lives, then, there's this urge inside me that I wanna be just like any other people is. To be human," Jonathan added.

"It's not easy to live as a human, every day... you struggle, every single day, you take every single word the people have said to you... and every day, you fight for your life and you just want to punch one annoying person who keeps on bugging you."

"Like who?" he asks.

"My sister, first of all, then here comes my alarm clock."

"That's funny," he says and straightens up, "I've lived for 100 years and so, I've seen this very place in my sight change. Every person that became important to me either died or left me. Every day, I think to myself 'What am I gonna do next?' It's a hard reality for humans that they need to thrive to survive, it is, I've seen many people rise from their feet. Then some become greedy for the luxuries in their lives and slip down back on their knees, it's such a conundrum to think that people's intuition is really diverse and somewhat common." Jonathan stops to take a breather before continuing.

"Some say they want to live because they need money, which is true to some, then some say that they need to become rich to help those who are in need. I've seen lots of people lie about who they are for the greater good or not, some people are pretending to be someone who they are not. Some people betray each other, they cheat, pretty much the same as it goes by. Some people betray me and lie to me, some cheat on me and I have forgotten what it feels like to be loved. So I surely become ill-mannered, grumpy, or whatever it is that people call me. I've gotten so used to it that I ended up being isolated, not knowing that I pushed people out of my life. Then you." He eyed me dearly and smiled sweetly.

"I escaped Hawaii but I can't escape from you. No matter what I did, you keep on being persistent and being so bossy. I never intended for you to get involved in my life, yet here you are. Standing in front of me and I guess I can call you my girlfriend." I was speechless, moved to tears, and sad yet happy about what Jonathan had just said about himself.
