Angelique's POV
"Where did she go?" a muttered voice outside and it snaps me back from my place.
"I'm just changing, be outside for a sec." Once I finished changing it, I charged it and put it in sleep mode. I walked outside my room and Madeleine was sitting with David on her lap.
"I'll take him today, that's what Nicholas said. Sorry, he forgot that he still has a pet."
"Is Nicholas your fiancee? I kind of forgot again, you know, your relationship with him..." I asked her and she laughed.
"No, dummy, he's my brother. I'm the eldest," Madeleine said, she grabbed hold of David and she left. I made chicken noodle soup, with a sprite on the side. Since I can't cook well and I still have my vacation, I gotta enjoy it while it lasts. Full of stress and headaches, here we come. Nine o'clock in the evening, she's still not here.
Angelica's POV
I slumped from the farthest table and I released a frustrated sigh from all the meetups, all of them only find Jonathan wealthy and all they care about are his popularity and reputation, and Anita still hasn't replied to any of my emails. Then someone pulled the chair in front of me.
"I'm sorry, just give me 5 more minutes," I grunted.
"You were looking for me," a woman said in front of me. I looked up and an unfamiliar woman sat in front of me.
"I'm probably sure I didn't, " I said.
"Anita Monroe, the one you sent those never-ending emails." she laughingly said.
"Oh, right! Sorry, I was just done interviewing others. I'll just use a restroom, " she nodded and I stood up and went to the restroom, I brushed my hair and fixed my suit then put on a little bit of blush before leaving.
"Again, the name's Anita." She stands and lends her hand and I shake it in return.
"I'm Angelica Park," I signed for her to sit down, "I'm not an expert at this to be in fact, I was just given this task. But I have my questions, " she just nodded and followed.
"Ready when you're ready," she smiled and I exhaled first before asking.
"What's your real name?" I asked as I read through the lines here in this paper.
"Anita Del Rosario Monroe."
"Age."
"43." I looked at her and she burst into laughter, "32."
"Married?" she was caught off guard and I read the lines again.
"Divorced, 2 years ago." hearing Anita says it makes me invested in her.
"Hmm, interesting. Do you have any children?"
"No, unluckily." I nod.
"If you are interested in my client, what is your purpose?"
"My purpose is to marry him, through thick and thin. Wealth is something you lavishly spend whether it is what you want or what you need, but the love that you can build is something with an unwavering foundation. Being loyal is my forte, and I hope that he is too," I was taken aback, my mouth hangs a little ajar and I snapped back easily to my reality that I could never match her. I smiled and just handed Jonathan's calling card.
"I hope we meet again." I lend my hand and she shakes it firmly and just nods, Anita says her goodbye and leaves. I guess I'm done now, what about Angelique? Is she back yet? Oh, right, she called earlier. I patted myself on the back and headed out, I looked at my phone and it said that it was nine.
"Miss? We are about to close early. We apologize for the inconvenience." One of the waiters said to me and I just headed out too. Once I got in my car, I texted Jonathan and he replied instantly.

Why do I have to be there? Someone honked at me and I looked at the side mirror, it was him. I was surprised that he knew where I was. I didn't want to go out and I just opened the window.
"Good evening, sir. What brought you here?" I asked.
"To spend the night with you?"
"... Excuse me?" I'm taken aback by what he asked me, he just nodded and opened the door.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Jonathan said.
"I'm a bit skeptical about this, sir." He called someone to take care of my car and we went into the woods.
"Isn't this place beautiful?"
"More like, terrifying, wait... Are you trying to kill me?" I asked, he looked me dead in the eye.
"Yes." my eyes widened, and he continued "...I'm not." when he saw my reaction, he started cackling.
"That is not a good joke." I smacked his shoulder real hard and it's just nothing to him.
"Let's get out of this car, " he said. I hesitated to get out but did because I have no choice either way. We walked for minutes and I kept hearing crickets hiding in thickets. Then, there's a rustle in the bushes.
"Okay, I have enough. I'm going back now." but I can't, his grip is firmly tight and he insists that we should continue. I sighed in dismay that whatever I do, he will keep insisting.
"It'll be a 30-minute walk from here to there." He said, "and there's a high chance that you'll get lost."
"Whatever," I said, after minutes of endlessly walking, my eyes closed from the drowsiness and I halted when he stopped walking.
"We're here." I slowly opened my eyes and a beautiful river was catching my sight, my mouth slowly gaping and he chuckled.
"I didn't know that this was this beautiful, how would a river be this perfect?"
"I asked that myself too sometimes," Jonathan said. I smiled and when I got near the river, I saw fish swimming freely.
"This could be a perfect meal for this night, " I said, my mouth was secretly watering and he whacked the back of my head slightly.
"Look there instead." To which I did, and saw a table with two chairs and my heart beats quickly.
"That... is strange, " I coyly said, trying to hide the blush.
"Well, don't eat if you want." Jonathan closed his eyes, and before he even opened them, I ran as fast as I could and I reached it in no time.
