Angelica's POV

The silence was awkward and I wanted to open the door, then he started to laugh.

"Do you think that was my first kiss?"

"You scared me," my sister said and clapped her hands, "since this is finished and getting late, shall we go home now?"

"I'll stay here for a bit, you can go if you want," Jonathan said and I just sat down and tried to think if I'd come out or not.

"We'll go now, Angie. Alissa needs me, you know... Bedtime stories." I opened the door slightly and answered.

"Okay, take care there." I heard doors closing and soon, I was left alone. With him, I was about to open the door when the door from the outside clicked and I thought he left too. I opened the door and went out, I patted my stomach and headed to the kitchen.

"Thank goodness they're not here, that was embarrassing. Why do I feel like I'm dying because of these things happening in my stomach these days?" I was busy talking to myself when my foot accidentally brushed onto something... furry.

"Hey," someone called.

"Huh?" I looked around and I couldn't see that person calling me.

"Look down, idiot." When I did, I saw Nathan.

"Nathan!" I was about to hug him when I just remembered that he was Jonathan's pet and I stopped and backed off a little to act tough, "Oh, you're here. When did he drop you off?"

"Why are you acting so cold right now?"

"Well, it's simple. You lied," I said.

"What? No, I didn't," he defended himself

"Yes. You did," I pushed.

"When did I ever lie?"

"The first day we met," I hissed.

"The first day we met was when I was bleeding," Nathan corrected me.

"Yet you weren't talking to me that day, so the first day we met was when we talked. That's it," I sat on the couch and covered my ears to not hear him whine.

"So you're ignoring me? How rude, I only did that because I don't want you to be scared." I scoffed and looked.

"Why would I be scared of you? I encountered a lot, much scarier than you." his expression turns to anger.

"Fine, if you're gonna be like that then I shouldn't have come here. I shouldn't have waited for you," he says and jumps to open the door.

"Wow, you had the guts to say that?" I stood up and followed him outside the corridor, "You lied to me that you are Jonathan's pet and youโ€”" I stopped talking when I bumped into someone.

"Hey, apologize." I ignored the person and followed Nathan, "Hey!" he grabbed my wrist and slammed me on the wall, his breath smells like alcohol.

"Wh-what are you doing?" I choked as I tried to ask him.

"I said, give me an apology. Do you even know me?" he hiccups and I shifted my sight and saw that Nathan stopped moving, "I'm the CEO of Gidae Mall, do you even know that?" I shook my head, his brows furrowed even further and he raised his hand to slap me. I closed my eyes and all of a sudden, I heard someone falling on the floor. I opened my eyes and I didn't see Nathan, but Jonathan on the floor with the CEO of Gidae.

"Don't you dare touch my employees," he hisses and grabs his collar.

"Why? Is she that good? How much did you pay her, huh?" by the time he said that he punched his face and I could hear the crunch of his cheekbones crushing inside him. His face was swollen badly, I jumped into action and held Jonathan's hand.

"Sir, please, it's enough." I calmed him down, and he did but I can probably hear his breath that he was still mad about him. The CEO of Gidae Mall was knocked down and Jonathan dialed the paramedic's number in this hotel and we left, "Why did you do that sir?"

"Just because..." he avoided it and I just heaved a sigh of relief that he stopped. When we reached my house, he stopped the car and I hesitated to open it.

"I just wanted to say, thank you. Again, I don't know why my life is getting messier than usual, but thank you." he just nodded and tried to plaster a smile, "One last thing, sir. I'll probably start finding the right suitor for you." Jonathan's smile dissipated and tried to search for words, but I opened the door and closed it. I knocked on his door and I just waved goodbye.

"You're pretty late," someone whispered.

"Yeah, I know..." I agreed and I instantly recognized that voice, Alexander's voice. I looked around and he wasn't around, something shifted under me and I found another werewolf looking weird at me. He tilts his head at me and I already know what that look is, "Let me guess, how did I understand you?" his eyes widen and he starts to shake his head like he's not believing me. I thought it was Alexander, I guess that was wrong.

"You're lying," he says.

"That's what animals say when they can't believe it," I proudly said and noticed that his left eye is closed, "Are your eyes okay?" my hands reach for his face but he snarls at it.

"Don't touch me," I hissed at him and he whined sadly.

"You seem to be hurt," I looked around his body and he was bleeding also, "Where did you get that?"

"You don't have to know," he says confidently.

"Then you shouldn't have started talking to me if you don't want to get treated," I said and stood to leave him.

"Wait, I'm sorry. I just don't..."

"Trust humans, no?" he looks at me and nods, "Then I guess we're the same. Now come on, I need to treat your wounds. You can leave after you eat, I'll tell you why I can understand animals like you." I offer my hands to him and he puts them on, I carry him into my house and wake my sister up to treat him.

"You sure do bring a lot of animals these days." Angelique yawns and grabs her kit, "Now, shall we start?
