Angelica's POV

After having a deal with Jonathan, a week passed and I am about to get discharged from the hospital. I went back to sleep some more and woke up the other day. Whenever my sister or Madison is not here, Jonathan always shows up.

"Where's Nathan?" I asked him.

"You know that pets aren't allowed in here, right?"

"I know, but this is a VIP room. So why can't I see him?" I complained.

"The doctors didn't allow it," Jonathan said.

"But you own this hospital," I said and pointed at the humidifier next to me, the words that are written here are 'Beon-Yeong Hospital, safety for everyone is in our hands.' He can't argue with that.

"I know, so for today, you're not allowed to see pets after you are healed," he said, ugh, his misdemeanor is getting me. I feigned pain and groaned from it, "Are you okay? Is it aching again?"

"Yeah, and the pain tells me that you should get out before it starts getting worse."

"Okay," he says and stands up.

"Don't even show up without Nathan with you, or I'm breaking the deal. Got it?"

"You're kidding."

"Try me, then." I challenged Jonathan, and he puffed his chest and walked out, "Now, where am I?" I pulled the Webtoon book under the blankets and started reading again, I didn't notice that the door swung open and someone talked

"Oh, by the way—" I immediately hid it under me and Jonathan squinted his eyes at me, I feigned myself again in pain and he wraps his arms around his chest.

"Why are you here again?" I groaned, he approached me slowly.

"You said that you are in pain?" he asked.

"Of course I am, I just—" Jonathan starts grabbing the Webtoon under me and I put my weight under it, trying to not let him get it.

"I'm taking this," he grunts from it, and in one swoop, he was on top of me, our noses touching each other and our gaze locked. My eyes start to flutter when someone comes in and our gaze breaks to look who it was.

"Hey Angie, I just got-- Oh my gosh, sorry, I must've disturbed you guys." Madison walked out and closed the doors firmly, I looked back at Jonathan and pushed him out of me. A strike of flush hit my face and I hid from the embarrassment I felt.

"I--I'll go now," he says awkwardly.

"Oh, uh, yes... Goodbye," I replied even more awkwardly, oh gosh, why does my heart beat fast all of a sudden. Why am I like this? When I heard the door open and close, I started to shake the bed aggressively.

"Gosh, Angie. Love is in the air today, sorry if I disrupted it," Madison jokingly says.

"No! It was just an accident!" I defend myself.

"Mhmm, girl, the look on your face says so." she smirked at me and asked, "You like him, don't you?"

"What?" I choked on what Madison asked and continued, "No, of course not. I'm embarrassed, not to mention earlier." I explained.

"Mmmkay, I'll get you some water first so you could quench that embarrassment down." she teases.

"Meanie, by the way, any updates?"

"About what?"

"You know... About what happened last night?" Madison rolls her eyes at me.

"There's T.V. in here dumb-dumb," she says and switched it on.

"Last night, an abduction happened in the streets of Manhattan and is known to be one of the chefs of Beonyeong Mall. A man named Felix Anderson, the sixty-four-year-old businessman was arrested for such heinous crimes and we're still unraveling the truth about the commotion that had happened." a middle-aged woman reported the scene.

"Wow, a geezer did that?" I nod, "No wonder you smell like an old person when you were brought here."

"You did not just say that," I said and she handed me the glass of water, I drank it in small amounts and gave it back to her. We talked for an hour and another news starts flashing and the ground starts shaking violently

"Flash News! An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 was suddenly found under the midst of Central Park, citizens living near there had to evacuate immediately and the people touring had to leave before an aftershock." the television fell and we both held the bed.

"I'll just change." I plucked some dresses in the closet and changed before heading out.

"It's too dizzy to walk," Madison says and clings to me.

"Just hold on, okay?" we walked, it was impossible to make it on the stairs due to the earthquake. We can't even dare to get inside the elevator.

"Where do we go then?"

"Under the table, let's go." we went back inside the room and hid under the table, "Are you okay?" Madison nods

"Yeah, just a bit dizzy." The shaking started to slow down and we sighed in relief, but all of a sudden the walls started to give up and blocked our way out.

"Oh gosh, what just happened?"

"Why? Are we stuck?"

"Yeah, totally stuck." big chunks of concrete are lying down and I crawl my way out, "Hello?" I shouted, I looked around to see any gap, and clouds of cement were making me cough.

"Are you okay there, Angie?"

"Yeah, just a bit... Cloudy in here, get out now. It's safe for now, the aftershock might strike in a minute." Madison crawls out but she grunts.

"Why? What happened?" I worryingly asked.

"My left foot is stuck," she cried out in pain and I ducked to see, her foot was under a big rock and injured.

"Stay calm, Maddie. I'm gonna call for help. Stay there, okay?" she nodded painfully and I saw a tiny gap for me to get out.

10 minutes before the Earthquake...

Jonathan's POV

I went outside after what happened earlier and my face flushed a blush across my cheeks, I slapped myself lightly. I've always seen her face up close and it doesn't bother me when she kisses my forehead back when I was a wolf, but seeing her that close in this transformation is making me wild. I got inside my car and shook my head to let it out when I started the engine. The road was smooth and all but I started hearing rumblings under the ground and already knew that an earthquake would strike any second now.
