ANGELICA'S POV

"Are you sure that it's a wolf?" Angelique nodded and wanted to speak, but I continued.

"What ifβ€” What if it's just a Siberian husky?" She shook her head, but I wanted to continue, but she cut me off.

"Listen, Angel, no one or anyone in that building will know about this, okay?" She asked, holding my shoulder and squeezing it a little. I just nodded at Angelique, and she continued.

"I'll hold off the people who send this wolf to me, alright? Tell them it was just a Siberian husky mistreated, okay? Bring the wolf to your house, treat it with care, and I know for sure. It won't attack you because the wolf will remember what you just did. The wolf is okay, and I treated his wounds. He'll recover fully for a week so go. Now." Angelique demanded calmly and in a hushed tone, I agreed quietly. I ran outside with the wolf and brought it inside the car. Before I entered the car, I saw two guys talking to each other, and the other one saw me.

"Isn't that the dog we just sent here?" A guy asked his partner, and I stopped.

"I guess so," he said, then something struck his mindβ€” and the both of them looked at each other and looked back at me, and I smiled at them awkwardly.

"Stop!" They ran to stop me as I quickly went inside and started the car. I got away, and they stopped chasing.

"I hope I did the right thing, and this wolf wouldn't kill me." I clutched the steering wheel and hurried to get back home. As I opened the door, the puppy was angry at me for how irresponsible I took care of him.

"You should've at least brought me there so I wouldn't be mad at you," the puppy kept whining and whining when someone knocked on my door. I opened it and saw a guy standing on my porch and rubbing his eyes.

"Can you please shush that stupid dog?" The guy asked me rudely and did a once-over at me, then a girl came to his side and pinched his ears.

"Now you're fighting a girl just because a dog is barking?"

"Oh, C'mon!" She dragged him out of my porch, and they kept yelling at each other and closing their doors.

"Good riddance to him." Someone said behind me, in a deep voice, breathing heavily at the same time. I turn around slowly to see the wolf looking at me with those same sparkling brown eyes.

"You're not mute?" I asked him.

"You just heard me talk, right?" The wolf asked, but he stopped suddenly and looked at me with the same look this puppy gave me.

"Y-You really can communicate with us?" He stuttered to ask.

"You get it, Captain Obvious!" I sarcastically said.

"I have to go," the wolf said. I raised one of my eyebrows at him and stood at the door.

"No, you're still recovering."

"I'll bite you."

"Try me," I confidently said out of nowhere. Wow, you're getting yourself killed, huh? I asked myself.

"You're that persistent, huh?" He scoffs.

"You can't ignore me." I stuck my tongue at the wolf and felt that I was talking to a mere human, I looked at his eyes again, and it made me think allured.

"What?" He asked.

"What what?" I asked back.

"You just became serious, old lady." I chuckled softly but got insulted a bit by what he just said.

"Hey, don't you dare call me an old lady, you imbecile being." I playfully ruffle his head. He groans.

"I like thatβ€” more."

"Now you're commanding me?"

"You started it," the wolf said. I was speechless, but I still did. I'm defeated by this guy here and continuedβ€” I used my other hand to scrub his back, and he just kept breathing as he enjoyed it. While I was doing that, someone knocked loudly at my door, and both of us stopped what we were doing; the knocking continued loudly and made me anxious.

"Who's that?" The wolf asked.

"I don't know, too," I said in a calm voice; the knocking stopped, and there was a bang on my door. It made me nervous and stand. I slowly turned the knob and opened it to see my sister looking at me, so worried.

"Oh god, you're alive," Angelique said and hugged me tightly.

"You scared me," I said and let go of her hug.

"Sorry, I'm just worried," she replied.

"What about the person who sent him to you?" I asked.

"They believed that it was just a Siberian husky and said that you're the owner, so don't be nervous." I sighed in relief and looked back to see the wolf was gone.

"Where is the wolf?" My sister asked. I looked at her back and saw the wolf quietly leaving.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked. He stopped and didn't look back.

"Leaving," he said as I quietly walked towards him.

"Try to leave and don't come back bleeding when I see you." I am now at his back.

"Are you threatening me?" The wolf looked back at me, and I grabbed him.

"More like giving you a warning." I brought him back to my house.

"Put me down." He demanded

"No." I simply said.

"Stop being persistent."

"Stop whining. Can't you see that those people in their house are opening their lights?" I pointed at the window to let him see that they were opening the lights and walking out of their houses.

"What's that noise?" An elderly woman asked outside.

"Probably there's a dog whining," an adult man answered.

"It's that woman again," the guy who confronted me earlier said.

"It's because maybe the dog wants to play with its owner." His wife answered

"But why is it different?" A kid asked.

"Yeah," many people collectively agreed.

"Can't you guys just stop and get back inside?" A police officer asked them.

"Whatever." The husband said as they went back into their houses.

"See? That's why stop whining and listen to me," I said in a hushed tone and faked my smile.

"By the way, I have to leave. The both of you seem okay with each other," Angelique said.

"But why?"

"Why not?" I rolled my eyes.

"Fine, just get there safely, okay?"

"Stop acting like you're older than me," the both of us chuckled as she stepped out and went inside the car.

"Are you hungry?" I asked the wolf.

"More like starvingβ€” I could eat that fella over there."

"What did you just say?" the puppy asked angrily at the wolf, and they started to argue. I stomped at the floor, and they stopped.

"The both of you. What do you think you guys are doing? You're going to get me in trouble again." I slightly raised my voice.

"Hmmph," the both of them looked away at each other and parted ways.

"Good." I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge to see there was nothing, how come I forgot to buy food? I asked myself.

"Problem?" The wolf asked.

"Since we don't have food, let's talk first," I said.

"I have to sleep, bye." He quickly says before leaving.

"Nathan!" I yelled, and he stopped immediately.

"What? What did you call me?" The wolf asked.

"Nathan, I'm going to call you by that name. Goodnight," I said, leaving him in the kitchen.

"Where are you going this time?" The puppy asked.

"I'll buy some food for you guys, and David." The puppy was confused after I said, David.

"Who's David?"

"You."

"What? Ugh, fine."

"And don't even fight, you guys. I'll be back once I buy you food."

"Whatever," the both of them said as I opened the door and closed it, and made sure that the door was locked. I went inside my car and drove ahead to the convenience store. Dog food, what's the food that wolves like? Oh, meat. This fatty meat, I hope he likes fatty meats. I stopped grabbing meat when something struck my mind, I forgot to bring milk. And don't forget the bowls for both of them. I fumble for some time when I felt someone is calling out to me.

"Hey, miss." Someone tapped my shoulder.

"I'm busy," I replied.

"Miss," the man kept tapping my shoulder.

"If you are here to hit on me, please stop." I looked at him and saw that I was putting the meat I picked in his cart.

"I'm not hitting on you," he said, and I chuckled nervously and awkwardly.

"Sorry," I said and grabbed the meat and put it on my cart.

"Weird," he said, at least he knows. I started strolling and grabbed some vegetables and milk on the way to the counter. The cashier began to punch the price on the things I got, and my eyes caught something. My eyes widened when I saw a limited edition of ice cream. With sweet salted caramel and bits of Reese's in it, I calmly grabbed 1 gallon and happily put it on the counter.

"It would be $420." I gave the cashier my debit card and scratched it into the machine, and I came home happy.

"What's wrong with her?" Nathan asked.

"I don't know, and don't talk to me," David said.

"Aww, being mean is bad," I said, and both of them looked at me and said:

"You're weird." I just laughed it off and put the bags on my tabletop.

"I know." I fetch the milk I bought and open it to put it in the bowl.

"It's my treat." I smiled at them, and Nathan looked at me.

"Where's mine?"

"Here," I put a massive bowl on the floor away from David.

"Would you like it raw or cooked?"

"Why?"

"In case you are picky."

"Cooked"

"Yep, I'm right. With salt?"

"Just cook it," Nathan said and sat on the floor. I awed, and he growled. I chuckled and proceeded to cook it. After a bit, I put it in his bowl and tasted it first.

"It's deliciousβ€” you should be a chef at Beon-Yeong."
