Angelica's POV
They left... I picked up the broken pieces of furniture and put them in a single place, it took me an hour to do it. I sighed in dismay, scratches on the floor were found, and broken vases and destroyed cupboards were lying on the floor. As I observed what just happened in my house, I heard my phone ringing, limping my way back to my room, Madison was calling me, and I answered.
"Hey Angie, I just wanted to check up on you. Your sister called me about how you're holding up," she worryingly says.
"Oh, I'm not doing fine. The wolves that I rescued suddenly started fighting and thrashed the whole place. I also stepped on a broken mug, so let me just clean my foot," I explained to her as I went to the bathroom.
"Well, news flash, wolves are bad news. I mean, haven't you heard like... months ago? The incident in Hawaii?" Madison clarified it with me, I put the phone on speaker mode and laid it beside the sink.
"I mean, yes, I did hear about that news when Nicholas came back from his trip to Hawaii. But more than that, these wolves that I rescued weren't even in Hawaii in the first place, you get me, right?" I asked her as I cleaned my foot with a clean cloth and dressed it.
"I know that they mean a lot to you, Angie, I'm just worried that they might even harm you least expectedly. I know that you can talk to animals, that's great, but limit yourself, please... Speaking of wolves, how did you encounter such creatures, though?" She questioned, to which I smiled even though Madison can't see it.
"Oh, the stories I will tell you will be a rollercoaster, Maddie." I giggled.
"Well, then, tell me all the stories of Angelica the Whisperer." We both laughed, and I started telling right after I dressed my wound.
"Okay, so I was entering the Beon-Yeong Mall when one of the sales ladies asked me to come to visit Jonathan's room because they heard something in his room." I pointed out.
"Wait, that's the time Nicholas has to go to Hawaii right? I mean, he also posted about it, so that was pretty recent." Madison added.
"Exactly! So, anyway, as I was entering the room, we all heard a growl. Do you know what the sales lady did to me?"
"Omg, what?" She asked in concern.
"She locked the door behind me and ran away with her life!" I exclaimed.
"No way!" Madison yells.
"Yes, way!" I yelled back.
"So, what happened?" She asked.
"As much as I can remember, I grabbed a fountain pen and tried to fend my life about who's lurking in Jonathan's closet. It opened as soon as I took a step!" I heard her scream and then shut herself before laughing.
"Okay, I didn't expect that I'd scream like that. Anyways, continue."
"Then I saw it was bleeding. At first, it was a really big dog, like a Siberian Husky, because it only has black and white fur. I asked someone to call my sister and when we were treating it to Angelique's place, I found out that it was a wolf all along!"
"Though, how come you mistook it for a Siberian Husky if it's much bigger than that." She avers.
"Well, I'm sorry, I was panicking!" We shared a laugh, then I stopped as soon as I remembered Nathan looking at me with his eyes sparkling at me.
"Why, what happened? Is Angelique back?" Madison asks.
"Oh. No, it's just that..." I trailed off.
"It's just what?"
"It's just that when I locked eyes with that wolf, his brown eyes were sparkling, I thought he was crying but no," I explained.
"Well, that's weird, but what happened after you found out that it's a wolf? C'mon, I'm dying to know!" She says excitedly. I began to tell her about Nathan's stay and his extreme resemblance to Jonathan himself, and Madison stopped me when I told her that Jonathan is the owner of Nathan after all.
"Are you serious right now?! Nathan is Jonathan's pet?!" She exclaimed through the phone.
"I know, right?! At first, I didn't believe it, because there was no way that that kind of coincidence would occur! Not until I pieced it all together!" I pointed out.
"Right! The supposed collar-like necklace you made to Nathan was with Jonathan after all!" Madison confirms.
"Yes! Then I found some shocking news about him!" I said, referring to Jonathan.
"Oh really? What is it?!" She anticipatingly asked.
"He's some sort of alien!" She sighed in disappointment.
"Ayeβ You made me anticipate something so unbelievable." Madison sighs.
"No, listen, when there was an earthquake. Jonathan lifted those rubbles like they were just pebbles! And the best of it all, when a big rock nearly killed meβ Jonathan suddenly came to the rescue! He was bleeding, like, a lotta lot. I was sent to his house with him, and when I was checking his wound, expecting an indented head or something like that... there was nothing! Not even a scab!" As soon as I finished saying that Alissa and Charles started screaming, noting that they started fighting again.
"Angie, I'm sorry, but I have to end the call, my kids started fighting over a box of cereal. I'll call you as soon as possible, I swear." I think Madison didn't hear nor understand what I just said to her, I kind of frowned.
"Oh, sure, tell them I said hi!" I said to her.
"Okay, I swear, I will call you. By the way, Jonathan was the one who planned your birthday, so say thank you to him!" She immediately hung up and I was left alone in the bathroom. Jonathan did that? I blushed at the sudden thought and I shake my head to block it all out. Now, where did I leave things here in this house again?
Alex and Nathan fought, they broke a lot of my furniture, and I sent Angelique on an errand to call their owners. I collected myself from then on. Wait, shit! David! He's in my room! I hurriedly ran to my room and saw that he was still asleep with all the chaos that had happened, and I took a sigh of relief.
