Wei WuHui sighed, placing her meat portions to her brother's bowl nonchalantly. "So, you and A-Qiao, huh?"
Immediately, Jiang Cheng grew flustered under the teasing smirk on the maiden's face. "Yes! The date for our marriage is already planned out and right now, we're just getting to know each other." The man explained as he subtly fidgeted.
Wei WuHui let out a hum at his words before snapping her head to her brother. "How about you? When is the wedding?"
"Mèimei!" Wei WuXian whined out of embarrassment as he looked away, shyly. "Lan Zhan and I just started our courtship."
Wei WuHui let out a small laugh, enjoying the flustered states that she had put her brothers into as she took another sip of the warm soup. "Well, congratulations to both of you."
After a while of silence, Jiang Cheng then asked. "You'll stay like this from now on? Got any plans?"
Wei WuHui shook her head. "Not at the moment. None of the remnants dare to go down the mountain. Meanwhile, people don't dare to do anything to me whenever I go down the mountain. It'll be fine as long as I don't stir up trouble on my own."
"On your own?" Jiang Cheng scowled. "Wei WuHui, do you believe that even if you don't stir up trouble on your own, trouble won't come and find you? It's often impossible to save someone, but there are more than thousands of ways to harm a person."
"A person with strength can defeat ten with skills. I don't care if they have thousands of ways. I'll kill whoever comes." Wei WuHui stated without a pause in her word.
"Please, Jiang Cheng. Let's not turn this reunion into an interrogation." Wei WuXian pleaded.
Of course, his words were ignored.
"You never listen to any of my opinions. One day, you'll come to understand that I'm the one who's right," Jiang Cheng huffed before finishing the last of his soup as he got up. "You better think this over. You'll be leaving all of your precious people behind. Forever maybe."
Wei WuHui put down her empty bowl, staring at it with a blank stare. "It is a risk I will take and a sacrifice that I must make. All you need to know that I will be fine." She then said as she looked up at Jiang Cheng with a reassuring smile.
Jiang Cheng looked at the maiden, wave of multiple emotions gathering around inside of him as he sighed, looking resigned. "We won't see you off. It wouldn't be good if someone saw us."
Wei WuHui nodded in agreement. She understand that it wasn't easy for the Jiang siblings to come out here. If someone from the cultivation world saw them, all those things they did for the public to believe will be ruined. "We'll go first."
After giving final hugs to her brother and Jiang YanLi, Wei WuHui and Wen Ning left first as they walked out of the alley. The maiden then noticed the bowl of soup still in the fierce corpse's hands. "Is that for the boys?"
Wen Ning nodded. "I can't have it but I think it would be great for the children to have it so it won't be a waste."
Wei WuHui smiled. "Just make sure not to drop it." But suddenly, her vision went blurry at that moment as she stumbled over her feet.
"Wei Gu-Niang!" She heard Wen Ning called out to her as Wei WuHui held her head in discomfort, the sudden sense of fatigue washing over her as she couldn't even comprehend what was happening around her.
All she knew that once she was able to regain her senses, she found herself laying in her makeshift bed with Wen Qing right beside her as she checked her wrist.
"What happen?" Wei WuHui asked weakly.
Wen Qing looked at her with serious expression. "Have you notice anything different lately?"
Wei WuHui furrowed her brows in confusion. "I...I haven't gotten signs of my menstruation and I have been having these urges to vomit."
Wen Qing looked at the maiden with firm eyes as she spoke that doesn't sound like she is fooling around. "Congratulations. You're pregnant."
"WHAT?!"
