Wei WuHui let out a deflated sigh, almost dragging her feet to the Library Pavilion where she will be taking her punishment after getting caught sleeping by Lan ChunLi.

"Wow, you are Wei WuXian's twin. Both of you shares the tenacity to get into trouble." Nie MingJian commented as she walked behind the downed Wei.

Wei WuHui side-glared at the latter before releasing another sigh. "Not my fault. I didn't get a well-rested sleep, not after having my butt squeezed by a creep."

Nie MingJian's eyes widened before grabbing Wei WuHui's shoulders, spun her around and stared right into her eyes. "WHAT?!"

Her sudden shout earning disapproval looks from nearby Lan disciples.

"A pervert in Cloud Recesses? Where there are 3000 rules bound on this land?!" Nie MianJian exclaimed. "Are you hurt? Where did he touch you? How far did he go?"

Wei WuHui stared dizzily at her sworn sister, still comprehending the rapid questions that came out. "W-Wha—?" Before steaming redness appeared on her cheeks as an image of the beautiful man from last night popped up in her head. His soft brown-gold eyes illuminated under the moon's light. His jade-like facial structure sketched in her mind.

"H-He didn't go that far! I slapped him before he could even lay another finger on me." Wei WuHui huffed before pulling the overprotective Nie's hands off of her shoulders and turned around to resume heading to the Library Pavilion.

"But to think even the Lan Sect would have those types of people here." Nie MingJian pondered as she followed behind. "You're lucky that your brother isn't here to hear this, if he would have, he would stir up a storm and that would certainly get Madam Yu to break his legs. For real this time."

Wei WuHui couldn't stop the flinch that her body automatically did. From the very start when she and her brother came to Yunmeng and were adopted by Jiang FengMian, she couldn't see eye-to-eye with the Yunmeng Sect's Matriarch, Yu ZiYuan.

She knew that she and her brother were the roots of the insecurities and hatred that radiated from Madam Yu with the ongoing rumours of the Wei Twins being the 'products' of an affair between their mother and Jiang FengMian circulating among the public. Although knowing her hatred for them, Wei WuHui still admired Madam Yu's strengths and power that she held, leading to her begging both Uncle Jiang and Madam Yu to allow her to be taught by the latter.

Eventually, the two females arrived at their destination and Wei WuHui opened the door.

"YOU?!"

"Mèimei!"

"Causing noise is prohibited."

Wei WuHui couldn't stop her eye from twitching in annoyance as she looked toward her grinning twin who sluggishly sat in front of a cold-looking boy.

"Gēge, don't tell me you got into trouble already." Wei WuHui groaned softly as Wei WuXian let out a boastful laugh, which earns him a cold glare from the other boy.

"Lan WangJi, you're here too?" Nie MingJian asked as she looked at the latter.

'Lan WangJi? The Lan WangJi?!' Wei WuHui's eyes widened as she immediately realised who the boy was. 'One of the Three Jades and Dajie's older brother' Then, she remembered that she didn't greet him when arriving and flusteredly saluted. "H-Hello Lan Èr-Gōngzǐ, my name is Wei Yang, courtesy WuHui."

Lan WangJi was a beautiful and handsome master, considering that he is second on the list of cultivator gentlemen. Dressed in all white-clothed robes, with long hair tied up and wearing a forehead ribbon, his cold light, almost gold, eyes glaring at the two arrivals before silently going back to the book in his hand.

"Uhhh...." Wei WuHui trailed off as she hesitantly straightened from her bow, taken back by the cold shoulder before letting out a startled yelp when her brother suddenly bumped into her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"So what are you two here for?" Wei WuXian asked curiously.

Nie MingJian giggled as she pointed toward the female Wei. "Your Mèimei got into trouble by Teacher Lan for sleeping during the lesson. She got punished with copying the rules three times."

"Bwahaha!" Wei WuXian went on to laugh as Wei WuHui glared at her brother. "Hahaha, we really are twins, no doubt about it!"

"Oh shut up, will you?" Wei WuHui grumbled, pushing her laughing brother's face away when she noticed a moving figure behind her. She turns and saw her sworn sister beginning to leave. "A-Qiao?"

Nie MingJian glanced back with a grin. "I'll come to collect you when you're done, I'm just going to see Dàjiě." With a final wave, the Nie disciple left the Library Pavilion.

"Let's sit down, Mèimei! I won't be bored anymore when you're here now." Wei WuXian chuckled as he dragged his flustered sister to the seats in front of the table.

Wei WuHui timidly glanced at the Lan across from her and her brother. 'Lan WangJi is one the best-looking master in our generation, yet why does he look like his wife had passed away?'

"Whew!" Wei WuHui let out as she leaned back from her seat, stretching her arms out as she finished copying the rules...her first one finished. Before she noticed that it was close to the curfew.

She would have finished earlier if it wasn't for her brother distracting both her and Lan WangJi with his silly jokes, questions and little pranks.

Patting Wei WuXian on his shoulder. "Make sure to finish your punishment, Gege. I'll be heading off now." Wei WuHui said and got up to leave when the older twin turned to her with teary eyes and draped his arms over her, basically hugging Wei WuHui.

"No no no! Mèimei, don't leave me here alone with him! He's too quiet and serious, I'll be bored to death!" He pouted.

Wei WuHui struggled to free herself from the weight that was holding her in place. "Gege, let's go! I need to leave before I disturb Lan Èr-Gōngzǐ even more. Besides, I'll still be coming here for my remaining punishment." She protested before glancing over to Lan WangJi and saw him watching the twins. Causing her cheeks to tint in pink from embarrassment. 'Not what I wanted as a first impression'

Wei WuXian sniffled before looking up with his pouty eyes and lip. "Really?"

'Are you really the oldest out of us two?' Wei WuHui thought before nodding to his question and gently pushing him off of her. "Behave and don't annoy Lan Èr-Gōngzǐ too much. Please." She urged, stroking his head with a smile and gave him a small peck on the forehead before turning to Lan WangJi and saluted to him. "I'm sorry for the disturbances, Second Master Lan. Please take care of my Gege and watch over him."

"I will. There's no need for apologies." Lan WangJi replied with his usual monotone.

Then, Wei WuHui startled Lan WangJi by giving a smile that resembled her older twin's. "Thank you, Lan Èr-Gōngzǐ!" Before making her way out from the Library Pavilion.

'They are twins after all...' Lan WangJi thought, staring after the female Wei before glancing back to the pouting Wei WuXian. '...wish he could've at least behave like her in terms of manners' Releasing a soft sigh, the Lan returned to his book.
