The sun has just began to set and the orange-red replaced the once blue sky as the archery competition were coming to an end with all the disciples returning from the arena.

"What? Lan Zhan left the competition early?" Wei WuXian exclaimed. "When?"

"After you ripped off his forehead ribbon." Jiang Cheng answered.

Wei WuXian turned toward the Second Jade with furrowed brows. "It's just a forehead ribbon, is it really necessary to get so angry?"

"What did you do now?"

"Eep!" Wei WuXian yelped as he froze on the spot upon hearing a familiar cold tone that can only belongs to one person when they are angered.

"M-Mรจimei..." Wei WuXian robotically turned his head to look behind, internally crying when he saw the cold angry expression on his sister's face.

Wei WuHui frowned as she crosses her arms, staring at her nervous brother as he tried to explain himself.

Meanwhile, Jiang Cheng and the two other Jiang disciples visibly sweatdropped at the raging female and silently slides away to avoid her fury. 'May the heaven take pity on you Wei WuXian'

"YOU DID WHAT?!!" Wei WuHui shrieked, gaining a few others' attentions as they watched the younger twin blow off at her older twin. "Did you not listen to the meaning behind the Lan's forehead ribbon during your lectures? How dense can you be, Gege?!"

"B-But Mรจimeiโ€”." Wei WuXian tried to defend but was cut off.

"Everyone knows the importance of the forehead ribbon to the Lan. You just can't stop causing trouble, can you?" Wei WuHui sighed as she rubbed her temple, feeling the incoming headache as her brother turned to the direction of the Second Master Lan, seeing him being comforted by Lan XiChen and Lan ChunTao.

Almost as if he can sense his stare, Lan WangJi snapped upward and gave the latter his death-glare, which caused Wei WuXian to stiffen nervously.

Not long after, everyone began to settled down as the announcer stepped forward with a scroll in his hands. "Xuan Zhang, Year of Ji Mao. Qishan Discussion Conference, the Archery Competition. First place, Yunmeng Jiang Sect's Wei WuXian."

The Jiang disciples cheered and hugged Wei WuXian upon hearing the results.

"Indeed you're our Da Shixiong!"

"We won! Da Shixiong is awesome!"

"Second place, Gusu Lan Sect's Lan XiChen."

Wei WuHui's eyes brightened as she looked toward the said Sect Heir and smiled widely as her heart swooned at the polite smile that Lan XiChen are giving as he was congratulated by the others. 'Perfect as always'

"Third place, Lanling Jin Sect's Jin ZiXuan. Fourth place, Gusu Lan Sect's Lan WangJi..."

"Wow, 2 of the top 4 are from Lan Sect, amazing!"

"Lan WangJi still reached the 4th place albeit leaving early." One Jiang disciple said.

"Looking at the Wen Sect, the competition was held by them yet they didn't even reach top 4, how embarrassing!"

Jiang Cheng glared back at them. "Shut it! Don't forget, we still have one more competition to attend to."

"Ah you're right! Between the female disciples." The Jiang disciple exclaimed.

Meanwhile, overseeing the arena, Wen RuoHan's cold red eyes glared down at the sect leaders and their disciples before placing down his cup with disgruntlement. "Good. People of talent emerged in succession among the Four Sects." He stated before getting up from his seat. "Since the Archery competition is over, I will take my leave. Everyone, enjoy your drinks and I'll see you all tomorrow."

"Farewell Sect Leader Wen!" All the Wen disciples saluted to their departing leader.

"Rise, all of you!" Wen Chao scowled as he and his sister got up and made their departure. But not without Wen RiLuo giving the female cultivators, a mischievous glance before she left.

"Now it's our turn to show off." Nie MingJian pointed out as she sipped her tea.

"Wonder what it will be this year." Lan ChunTao stated.

"We just have to wait and see." Wei WuHui sighed before looking down at her hands as she clenched them. 'I'm feeling nervous...what can it be?'

โ€”โ€”โ€”

"Xuan Zhang, Year of Ji Mao. Today, we will begin our final competition for Qishan Discussion Conference!" The Wen disciple announced as he stood on the large round arena in the middle.

"A battle between martial arts." Wei WuXian stated as he sat with Jiang Cheng in one of the many seats that circled around the arena.

"Wei WuHui should be able to win this. She is the most skilful in that area than us." Jiang Cheng added.

Then with a bang from the Bo, four identical doors began to opened to reveal four silhouettes as they emerged from the darkness.

"Lan ChunTao from Gusu Lan!"

"Nie MingJian from Qinghe Nie!"

"Wen RiLuo from Qishan Wen!"

"Wei WuHui from Yunmeng Jiang!"

All four females stood from their stand as they dressed in a simple training robes, easy to manoeuvre and fight in.

"Go Mรจimei! You can do this!" Wei WuXian cheered excitedly.

"We believe in you, Shijie!" The two Jiang disciples shouted.

The four maidens went to take to their place on the arena as they glanced at each other with the intensity filling up in the air.

The Wen announcer raised his hand. "The Martial Arts Competition will commenceโ€”!"

However, a petite hand raised up in the air, putting a stop in his announcement.

"Forgive me but may I suggest something?" Wen RiLuo asked.

Wei WuHui's brows furrowed. 'What is she doing?'

Wen RiLuo glanced up toward where her father and Wen Chao sat as her identical red eyes met with her father's before she smirked as she turned toward the maidens. "Why don't we make this competition interesting?"

Nie MingJian scowled. "Interesting how?"

"We should have all three of you battle against me."

Harsh whispers flood the entire arena.

"3 against 1?"

"Is Wen Gลซ-Niang thinking straight?"

Wei WuXian's brows furrowed in confusion. "What is she playing at?" As Jiang Cheng frowned in displeasure. "I don't know but I don't like it."

"Three against one? Isn't that going to be unfair for you?" Lan ChunTao asked.

Wen RiLuo chuckled lightly. "It will be more fun like that, don't you think?"

"What's the catch? If this is going to be three against one then how can we decide the winner and loser?" Wei WuHui inquired.

"Haha that's easy to explain. If you three manage to knock me out of the circle or make me surrender then you're all winners equally. But if I win..." Wen RiLuo then smirked widely as she held her hand to her cheek gleefully. "Kowtow to me and bark like a dog for your master."
