The four boys made their way down the stairs quickly. The room was covered in vines and vegetation. It reminded Dax a lot of his home back when Marcel was running New Orleans and his family was in the Chambre de Chasse.
"Mason!" Liam whispered loudly as they walked through. Dax looked around the room as they got to the ground level. They rounded the corner and saw Mason slumped over on the floor. Liam and Dax immediately ran over to him. Dax was looking at the thing plugged into his neck while Liam tried to wake him up.
"What is this thing?" Liam asked as Scott kneeled next to him.
"I don't know," Theo answered.
"Liam, I can feel it. It's in my skull," Mason whimpered as he kept his chin tucked into his chest. Dax and Liam's exchange worried glances.
"Don't move," Liam said as he looked into the tank. He reached for the plug that was in Mason's neck, but Scott's words stopped him.
"Careful."
Dax looked up to Theo with a growl, "What are they doing to him?"
"I don't know," Theo said impatiently.
"Guys, let's focus," Scott said as he brought the attention back to Mason, "Mason, we're going to get you out of here," Scott said as he tried to look the younger boy in the eyes, "Hold him still," Scott said as he looked at Dax and Liam. Liam and Dax nodded, "Alright, I'm going to try to pull it out... Let me know if it hurts," Scott said as he slowly reached out his hand. Mason nodded. Scott wrapped his fingers around it and gently pulled causing Mason to yell.
"It hurts," Mason panted, "It definitely hurts."
"I barely moved it," Scott said as he looked at Liam. Before their conversation could continue, they heard the all too familiar sound of the dread doctors. Dax growled as his lips curled back to show his fangs and his eyes glowed bright yellow. He took a step in front of Mason, Scott, and Liam.
"They wanted us here," Theo said as the realization dawned on him.
"I don't give a shit what they want," Dax growled.
"Liam, help Dax try to get that thing out of Mason's neck," Scott said. Dax bit his lip as he looked at the plug and then back down at his friend.
"Theo... Theo Raekin," One of the dread doctors said as the three of them closed in on Scott and Theo.
"He's coming with us," Theo said lowly.
"Failure. Theo Raekin," The dread doctor ignored Theo.
Theo was visibly hurt by the Dread Doctors remarks, "I'm not a failure," He muttered quietly.
"Not a complete failure. We learned from you," The Doctor said.
"Theo, he's trying to get to you. This is what they want! Don't give it to them. We can't beat them!" Scott told him.
"We're taking Mason," Theo said before turning back to the dread doctors. His eyes glowed bright yellow as his face transformed, "And then, I'm taking what's mine."
"Guys," Mason panted as he grabbed their legs, "Get out of here. Just go!"
"Not happening. We don't abandon family," Dax shook his head. He glanced at Liam out of concern before grabbing onto the plug. Before he could pull it out, the dread doctors used another one of their bombs with a vervain-like mist. Dax groaned loudly in pain as his skin began to burn, and his lungs as well. He pushed through the pain and grabbed the plug once again. He grimaced as he used his vampire speed and strength to pull it out. Mason groaned loudly, but it seemed not to work. The teen stood up, "Oh shit."
Liam pulled Dax back as he held up the older boy, "Transformation..." Everyone but Dax stared at Mason in horror as the doctor spoke. Dax was groaning in pain, "Transformation without frequency."
"Mason!" Liam called out frantically.
Mason looked up at Liam as his eyes glowed bright blue, "That's not my name," He growled. Dax struggled to breathe as he held himself up on Liam.
The beast hit the three boys into the wall. They looked up in time to see the Beast decapitate one of the doctors and drop his body to the ground. The beast hit Theo into the stairs as it marched to the third and final dread doctor.
"Success," He said as he looked up to the beast. The beast roared as he shoved his hand into the doctor's chest and dragged him out. Dax groaned as Liam lifted him up. The three boys followed the beast outside and witnessed the beast throw him onto the ground. Dax breathed a little easier since they were outside.
Parrish, who was on fire, ran up and hit the beast in the face. As he landed, the two agents came up with a shotgun as they unloaded it into the beast. It roared before running off. They witnessed the beast turn back into a man.
"La Bรชte du Gรฉvaudan! I know your name!" Gerard called. The man turned back with a clothing look, "Do you remember mine?"
His eye twitched and he spoke in a heavy French accent, "Argent," He then ran off with Parrish chasing after him.
"Who the hell was that?" Dax asked weakly as he still clung to Liam for support as he slowly healed.
Gerard answered, "You've seen the Beast of Gรฉvaudan. That was the Man."
"Sebastian Valet," Argent clarified. Dax and Liam exchanged looks of concern.

"He's still alive," Scott said as he pulled the remaining Dread Doctor into the vet. Liam would have helped but he was busy helping Dax walk still since his lungs were still injured. Not to mention the burns were still on his neck and a little on his face. Liam helped Dax lower himself to the floor as he breathed raggedly.
"What the hell happened to him?" Stiles asked as he helped Scott get the doctor onto the table.
"Dread doctors," Liam answered.
Dax's eyes screwed shut and he shifted in his seat, His arm was curled tight into his abdomen, "I'm fine," His voice was brittle and hoarse.
"Can you keep him alive?" Scott asked as he looked at the dread doctor on the table.
"I'm not sure he technically is alive," Deaton remarked.
Liam scoffed, "Screw keeping him alive. How do we get him to talk?"
Dax pushed himself off the chair and walked over to the table as he looked down at the doctor with a menacing glare, "Personally, I don't think we utilize torture nearly enough," Scott, Stiles, and Deaton gave Dax a look.
"Come," A loud and low whisper echoed through the clinic.
"Did you hear that?" Liam asked as his eyes snapped up to Scott, Dax, and Stiles. Dax focused a little more so that he could pinpoint Sebastian's location.
"Come to me... To me," The second Sebatstian finished talking, the dread doctor on the table shot up and a piercing noise emitted into the room causing humans and supernatural alike to stagger as they covered their ears.
Dax groaned loudly. He lost his footing as the room began to shake and he landed with one knee on the ground and his other foot on the ground as if he were proposing which he honestly would rather be doing. Instead, he was covering his ears as they rang. Despite his wounds and inability to stand upright, he went to attack the doctor.
"Dax, wait!" Scott yelled, but Dax didn't listen. Before he could get close enough to land a hit on the doctor, he was hit back by his electro gloves. Dax groaned as he hit the floor. He still hadn't fully healed from the dread doctors' bomb. Everything metal in the room slammed into the door frame and stayed there. Scott and Liam were about to go through it when Deaton yelled at them.
"Stop!" Deaton yelled. Scott and Liam stopped just in time for sparks to fly out of the ceiling, "It's electrified," Deaton pointed to the cieling.
Dax slowly pushed himself off the ground, his ears were still ringing, "I could get us out of here," Dax wobbled a bit as Liam rushed ot his side to stabilize him.
"No way. You're still half-dead from the bomb thing," Liam said as he helped Dax to the table.
"I'll be fine," Dax shrugged.
"Sh!" Scott shushed them. Dax made faces once Scott turned back around. Liam hit him on the shoulder lightly to grab his attention. Dax frowned and hit Liam back, "The cane. They took it," Scott muttered. Stiles managed to stop the two boys from fighting by putting himself in between them.
"You need to look at these," Deaton said as he handed a file to Scott.
"Maybe there's something in here? Something about how he was a genetic chimera," Scott muttered as he flipped through the file.
"Mason had a vanishing twin," Deaton added.
"Now we've got a vanishing Mason," Stiles shrugged slightly.
"He killed someone before he was bron," Dax giggled. Liam rolled his eyes, "And you guys think I'm the bad one."
"So what does that have to do with him turning into a 250 year old French guy? How does that even happen?" Liam asked.
"Hold on," Deaton put his hand in Liam's direction, "Scott might have something... Mason's twin wasn't entirely gone. That's what made him a genetic chimera."
"The DNA was still there," Scott added.
"Metaphorically speaking, the Dna of Mason could still be inside of Sebastian as well," Deaton explained.
"How?" Stiles asked.
"Life is energy. Energy doesn't just disappear. The Dread Doctors may have found a way to break the rules of the supernatural world, but there are some rules that simply wont break," Deaton explained further.
"So, Mason can't just be gone," Liam added.
"You guys didn't know that?" Dax asked.
"Obviously not," Stiles sighed out of annoyance.
"Somewhere in Sebastien, he has to still exist in some form," Deaton explained. Dax tried not to laugh but he failed, "A spark of energy, a flicker of memory..."
"Hang on," Stiles eyes snapped up to Liam, "You said Mason said something right before he turned."
"He said 'That's not my name'," Liam responded.
Scott seemed to put it together, "He finally remembered his name."
"Damnatio memoriae," Stiles said as he looked at Scott.
"That's what they wanted. They wanted Sebastien to remember his name," Liam said.
"Scott, you know the myth of what happens to a werewolf when you call it by its given name?" Deaton asked.
"Pick me," Dax said as he raised his hand high. He winced slightly from the strong movement but kept his hand up. Liam sighed as he shook his head, "They go back to being human!" Dax smiled.
"What does that mean?" Liam asked, "Someone can just walk up to the beast, yell Mason's name, and turn him back?"
"Not someone," Scott shook his head.
"Lydia," Stiles muttered.
"You guys have fun getting her. We'll meet up after he retakes his meds," Liam said with a tight smile as he grabbed Dax's shoulders. Dax hissed in pain as he jerled away from Liam.
"That hurt you bitch!" Dax narrowed his eyes at Liam.
"He's going to need them," Liam sighed.
"I don't want them," Dax shook his head as he crossed his arms.
"You have fun with that," Stiles nodded as he placed a hand on Liam's shoulder.

"Come on, Dax. This is serious," Liam sighed as he stared at Dax.
Dax looked down at the mixture in front of him, "But I don't want too," Dax whined as he kicked his legs like a child, "It's no fun."
"It's Mason, Dax."
Dax scowled at Liam before looking back down at the mixture in front of him, "You owe me coffee."
"No chance in hell."
"What? Why not?"
"You're hyper enough as is."
"Rude," Dax muttered.
"Take your damn herb med things!"
