The small girl ran throughout the field

Gripping on the small box, she reached her destination

Upon seeing many children, nothing stopped her.

A boy stood before her.
"You.. wanted to see me?..."
He said.

"Y-yes..."
"Well hurry up then! I don't have all day!!"

Being nervous, she looked straight into his baby blue eyes.

"Uhm.. w-well I.."

The blonde tapped his foot impatiently. Suddenly-

"-I LIKE YOU!!"

the boy looks at the girl, surprised.

"ha..haha..."
"D-do you l-like me back?..."

The boy looks at her, disgusted

"You?"
"Ha. No. why do you think that I would like a ugly duck like you?"

The child felt their heart break into million pieces.

Just then, he turned around and yelled to the children,

"HEY GUYS!! IF THIS UGLY DUCKLING CONFESSED TO YOU, YOU ALL WOULD SAY "NO" RIGHT?!"

A few kids felt bad for the girl while the others snickering and giggling. Some spat out rude words to her.

"ugly duckling"

"ugly duckling"

"UGLY DUCKLING"

"UGLY DUCKLING!!"

All the children were now mocking and torturing the poor child. the child spilling tears of pain. They ran towards back where they came from.

Running towards the bedroom, she slammed the door on their parents.
All the concerned questions and the pleas of opening up the door was muffled out. She cried into the side of their pillow, traumatized.

Your POV

In the first time in two years, I was forced to go outside only to get mails from the mailbox. I ran towards the box, nervously. I looked around cautiously to avoid interaction from other people. I sigh in relief,

'i guess not people are out today'

I ran over to the mailbox, suddenly I hear something right behind me.

'i can't let anyone see me!! What if they hate me like them!? What if they say I'm also too ugly to even exist?!?!'

Panic as I looked around for something that would me to at least help me to hide my face, when I found...
