-Your POV-

Saturday night, prom night, I was excited I've never really been to these type of things before but I know it'll be fun.

"Y/n, wake up it's prom day" Mom quietly said "Goodmorning"  "Goodmorning sweetie, you excited for today?" "mhm"

"what time is it?" "3:30pm" she says "3:30?! I need to get ready! And get to the school early to do last minute stuff!" I sat up.

"Okay baby I'll make brunch" she says and leaves, I quickly got up and put a shirt and sweatpants on, I was going to do my nails with Millie and Chloe first.

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and did my skin care routine, I went downstairs and eagerly waited for my food.

"Here you go" Mom says handing me over grilled cheese "thank you"I quickly ate and waited for mom to eat so we can go.

She had finished eating and I quickly got up and put my shoes and jacket on, "come on mom, I have to be at the nail salon soon!" "yes, I'm coming"

She put her stuff on and we left the house to the nail salon, "So what type of nails are you going for?" Mom asks "Just simple"

It was approximately a 10 minute drive but I successfully made it on time, "Thank you mom I love you, see you later, bye!" I say and walk to the salon

"Y/n, thank god you're here where were you?" Millie asks "I'm sorry I accidentally slept in" I say "Okay well you're here so let's get our nails done" Chloe says

"Hi, welcome to Tina's nails, you're on time just sit in whatever seat and an employee will come do your nails" A lady says. "okay, thank you"

I went over to the nail polishes and scanned through them to find which one I liked. I got a nice light pink colour.

I sat down in a chair in front of a lady, and she grabbed some supplies, "Hi, what's your name?" She asks "y/n" I say. "Oh wow such a pretty name" she says "thank you"

She put my hands in a bowl of water and I stayed there for a few moments, she took one hand out and started to push back my cuticles.

She cut my nails and used this sponge thing to rubbed on my nails, she took my hand out from the water and put my hand she just worked on back in the water and did the same.

"Pretty colour you picked" The nail lady says, I smile and put one hand in front of her as she starts to paint them.

About an hour later Millie, Chloe and I had finished our nails, and they look very pretty. "Wow, y/n yours are so cute" Millie says "Thanks, both of your nails are cute"

"My mom booked an appointment for our hair so we don't have to worry about it" "oh, okay" they said.

Mom picked us up and drove us to the hair salon, "You girls are going to very pretty in your dresses, I need to get a photo after when you're all ready" Mom said.

I was excited to get my hair done, I stared out the window as different places go by, the car stopped infront of a hair salon.

"Okay girls I'll pick you up in a few hours!" Mom says and we get out the car "okay see you in a bit mom!" 

"The exciting part!" Millie cheers and we walk inside "Hi! You must the prom girls!" A lady exclaims, walking up to us
"Yeah, did my mom tell you?" I ask "yes so exciting! So if each of you would sit in the chairs my bestest hair dressers will make you look elegant!" She smiled.

We sat in each chair next to eachother and these lady's came out, "Hi I'm Nancy I'll be your hair dresser, I'll make you look fabulous!" She says "hi" 

"So what look do you want to go for your prom?" She asks "Just something like a bun with a few strands out" I say "Oh okay I got you sis, you'll be looking amazing!" She says

"Okay first we need to wash your hair so come with me" I got up and followed her to the hair washing sinks.

I sat back as she collected my hair and looked for the right temperature to wash my hair. I relaxed a bit as I felt the warm water touch my hair to my scalp.

It felt nice as she mixes the shampoo through my hair (it does tho like it's amazing) I closed my eyes for a moment and almost fell asleep.

"Okay, we're done here" Nancy says and wraps my head in a towel, I got up and went back to my seat "So do you have a date for the prom?" She asks taking the towel out and brushes my hair

"Yeah my boyfriend's taking me"  "ooo he's a lucky fella" she says, "yeah, this is him" I grabbed my phone and showed her a picture of Finn "oh damn girl he's cute, you two will rock that dance floor tonight" she said. I chuckled and put my phone in my pocket.

She started to blow dry and brush my hair, it took a few minutes until my hair was dry, "okay now the fun part!" She exclaims and grabbed hair tools and started styling my hair.

-TIME SKIP- 

"And voila!" Nancy says and turns me towards the mirror "Wow it looks--" I say "amazing, I know thank you" she chuckled.

She took the cover off of me and I got up from the chair, "y/n your hair looks so pretty" Millie says "it really does" Chloe says "thanks guys, yours are really pretty too" I say

"You know what since you girls are going to prom, the hairstyles are free!" The lady that greeted us before said. "Wait really? Thank you" I say "No worrys hon have fun!" She says

We left the hair salon and my mom was already there, "Awe you guys, your looks amazing" mom says "Thank you Ms.L/N" Chloe and Millie say

"What time is now, mom?" I ask "almost 7" she says "okay, we just need to get dressed and our makeup and I have to go the school and help out" I say "Yes ma'am" mom says and drives towards home

"Okay I'll see you in a bit guys!" I say to Chloe and Millie, I go inside the house and quickly run upstairs

Sophia was also getting her hair and everything done too, but with her friends. I went over to my closet and unzipped the dress out of the bag and placed it on my bed

I carefully took off my clothes off that I was wearing today and slipped into my dress, I zipped up the back and fixed the front, I looked at myself in the mirror and went to the bathroom to do my makeup 

I checked my neck and the hickey's Finn had given me were faded but still visible, I quickly covered them up and started to my make up

-2 HOURS LATER-

Yes, it took two hours to do my makeup, I spent half of it contemplating what I should do and I messed up the eyeliner.

I put the necklace Finn gave me for Christmas on and some earrings, I went to my room and put some perfume on along with some deodorant.

I put my heels on and went down the stairs, Sophia was already waiting, "Wow y/n you look amazing" she says "thanks Soph you look amazing too" I say

"awe! You two look so gorgeous! I have to get a photo!" Mom says, Sophia and I stood next to eachother and smiled "Perfect everyone else is waiting outside" Mom says

We went outside and Finn was standing there, looking gorgeous than he normally was, his mouth dropped and he just stared at me like he was going to explode.

"Y/n/n you look gorgeous!" Chloe says "You do too!" I say "Your make up is so cute!" Millie says "We did pick great dresses"

"You look really pretty y/n" Noah says "thanks, you look good too" I say and smile, "y/n/n holy shit you look more beautiful than you normally are" "Thank you and you look very good too" I smiled.

Sophia's friends were there too and I complemented them also, "okay everyone get together for a photo" Mom says "Oh! Wait for me!" Finns mom says and quickly grabs the phone

We stood together and smiled "okay Sophia's friends together then you guys" Mom says, "perfect now y/n, everyone, smile!" Mary and mom took pictures, with flash and it felt like I was going blind

"Y/n, Finn you two together please!" Mary says, Finn and I smiled we were going to move but our moms stopped us "wait one more!" They say, we smiled again and they kept taking pictures.

"Okay you crazy kids go have fun!" Mom says, a limo drove up infront of us and my eyes widen in shock.

"Wait we're driving in a limo?" I ask  Finn "yeah I ordered it, I want this night to be special for you, it's prom at your new school and I told the volunteers that you won't be coming, they understood"I smiled and kissed his cheek "awe thanks"

Finn opened the door for me and let me in, the inside was so cool it had nice blue lights and some snacks and drinks, everyone else came in and looked around in amazement.

"This is so cool" Everyone mumbled. "hey, everyone in?" The limo driver asks "yeah" we say "okay off we go!" He says

I took my phone out and took pictures with Finn, "Oh I almost forgot" Finn says "your corsage" he said, handing me over a corsage, I smiled and put it on my wrist.

I continued to look around the limo, it was amazing, the vehicle had stopped and I looked out and we were already here.

"Have fun guys" the limo driver said
and each, one by one get out, "Thank you sir" I grabbed Finn's hand, getting out of the limo.

Everyone else got out and we walked into the school to the gym area where you can hear music playing from inside.

I noticed Noah was staring at me but I can't blame him, he was still getting over me and me looking amazing probably wasn't helping.

We walked in the gym and everyone gasped, there was colourful lights moving around on the ceiling, and a DJ on the stage playing some music

"You did good, babe" Finn said. I smiled and looked for some people who helped out too to compliment them on their hard work.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to the one only, Asher "Hi, y/n you look really amazing tonight" he says and looked at me up and down "Thanks you look good yourself"

"So you still have a date?" He asks "yeah, infact I'm going to him right now" I walked wway and went  to where Finn was "Hey, sorry"  "it's okay"

More people came in looking around and there was chaperones everywhere so there's definitely going to be no alchohol in here.

Everyone went off with their friends or dates and I stayed with Finn, "This is nice" I say "yeah" he says

Everyone started cheering as 'teach me how to love' by Shawn Mendes started playing.

Oooo your body's like an ocean~

Finn took my hand and started dancing "Come on dance with me"He says "Nooo" I say "come on it'll be fun!" He says "Well you need some dancing lessons then" I chuckle.

"First my singing and now my dancing?" Finn questions "yup" I smile,

Put my hands around you~

I laughed as Finn dances to the song and wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek.

Teach me how to love~

We danced to rest of the song dance and other songs for a while, "I'm going to get a drink" I said. "okay bring me some"

I walked over to the food and drinks table, and of course Asher was there. "Not going to lie we did good decorating" Asher smiled
"yeah"

"You did a good job on most of it though"I felt his hand brush up against mine and I rolled my eyes on what he was doing "thanks, and I know what you're trying to do so stop"

"Doing what sweetcheeks?"he smirked and put his finger on my chin making my face, face him "What are your doing right now" I smacked his hand away.

"But y/n--" he says "hey. Stop trying to take my girlfriend away from me asshole"Finn said behind Asher  "or what? she doesn't even deserve you" Asher said.

"Look, buddy, she isn't interested, she's being loyal by not kissing your musty looking ass, so stay away from her and me or I swear it'll be the end of you, I'll make sure you'll be in pain the next time you pull some shit like that got it?" Finn threatened. Asher eyes filled with fear and he nodded his head.

"I asked you a question" Finn walked closer to him "mhmm got it, uh sorry y/n, I got to go" Asher said and quickly left the gym.

"Wow I haven't seen you say something like that in a while" I chuckled "I'm sorry" "don't be, love"

I looked over to the entrance and tensed up as Wyatt, Jaeden, and Jack walked in. "Finn uh they're here" I say "what-- oh." He says turning around and seeing them.

They were walking towards me and I grabbed a hold of Finn's hand, but they didn't do anything as they walked past us.  No glare. No insult.  No physical contact.  No, anything. Just walked by.

I furrowed my eyebrows and turned to Finn "Did you just see that?" I ask "See what?" He asks cluelessly from eating a cookie "They didn't do anything to us" I say "oh wow that's a first" he says

I chuckle and nod my head in agreement, "oh you got something on your face" I rubbed off some crumbs off his face with my hand like he was a baby, "Oh, thanks" Finn says

"Hey party people!" Someone says from the gym stage, everyone cheered and clapped "Welcome to prom! So we're going to have people vote for your prom queen and king then we'll announce who they are!" They say, and once again everyone cheers.

"I hope y/n wins" I heard someone whisper, I smiled and eased into their conversation "yeah, she's really pretty and she stood up to Wyatt, like damn I'd be lucky to date her" the other person said.

"Thanks" I whispered to them. "Do you think I'll win?" I asked "of course you will"

"Okay sorry for the wait guys but we have the winners for prom queen and king!" The person from before says, everyone cheers and someone comes out with little crowns

"okay so for prom queen is..." they say and take out a paper, they looked at me for a brief moment and smiled "Y/n l/n!" I looked at Finn and back at the speaker and smiled "wait what?"

Everyone cheered for me, "y/n!" Chloe and Millie cheered from behind. I walked up the steps to the stage and everyone was still cheering for me.

"And for prom king is..." they opened another paper "Wyatt Oleff!" they said.

My face dropped and almost everyone stopped clapping, I looked at Finn in fear and he mouthed 'it'll be okay don't worry' I nodded my head.

Wyatt walked up on the stage and they put a crown on our heads, I awkwardly stood next to him and linked arms, I was shaking but trying to put a brave face on and smiled at everyone.

"Do you want to make a speech or something?" The announcer asks "no I'm okay" "ya me too" Wyatt said.

We walked off the stage and a slow song started playing, I was dreading this, this was not happening, Wyatt awkwardly wrapped his arms around me and I winced at his touch, I wrapped my arms around his neck and avoided eye contact.

My heart was beating against my rib cage, and my palms were getting sweaty, I look everywhere but Wyatt. I was scared he was going to do something but he just stood there dancing with me.

"um uh you look nice tonight" "T-thanks" "I have something to tell you" he says, "What?" "The reason I'm such a dick to you is because, well...

I liked you, I thought you were really pretty and you just caught my eye, but Finn also thought that too. Jealousy just took over me and I decided it'll be funny if Finn pretended to like you and everything  while you did the project

So when you would find out you would hate him and I would take a shot at you but it obviously went down hill, I got mad and more jealous and I guess I just snapped.

And I know you won't take this explanation because of what I did to you, I was a dick to you, I mean, my reputation is being a dick but... I'm sorry y/n" Wyatt explained.

I looked at him and his face didn't turn into a smirk, he just stared at me  waiting for a response.

"Do you really mean that?" I asked "Every part of it"  "Okay, I'm happy you told me this, but I just don't feel comfortable around you." I  "It's okay, I just wanted to say I'm sorry, for everything" 

I looked into his brown eyes and smiled letting him know it's okay. "Hey can I bud in?" Finn awkwardly asked. "uh yeah sure" Wyatt let go of me and Finn wrapped his arms around me.

"You will not believe what Wyatt just told me" "what'd he say?"  "Apparently he liked me and you thought I was pretty and he got jealous so the plan was to make me hate you so he could get a shot at me"

"Oh, wow" he says "yup, but it obviously didn't work" I say and we both chuckle "So I guess Wyatt brought us together" h "I guess so"

I got lost in those deep brown eyes and smiled, "I love you y/n"  "I love you too"

I smiled and felt my heart beat rise up again, we leaned in until our lips touched.

This kiss didn't feel like other kisses, it felt magical, it like time was slowly slipping away from my fingertips, I love this boy so much is hard to explain, we've been through so much together and yet we're still here.

It felt like it was just the two of us on the dance floor. I guess you could say this was a cringey high school movie where you fall in love with your next door neighbor. I fell in love with...

A/N AHHHHH so this the final chapter I hoped you loved this as much as I loved writing this, it literally took me a month! And I'm very grateful that it got popular within in a month, thank you for the love and support of this book! ik everything was so cliché but I hope it was still good yk:))

I'm currently making the sequel it'll take a bit but I'll tell y'all once it's out!
