ABOUT 3 days had passed since the incident. Today, was the day of Nile's surprise party. We'd all be taking him to the trampoline park last minute, then after that the real surprise party would be at the Neumanns house.

In about an hour, Noahs gonna be here to pick me up. I'd be sitting in the front so I didn't have to sit by Nelson.  I already took a shower and managed not to cry last night so my face wouldn't look like a extra ripe tomato.  I decided on wearing a tight black tank top, some ripped jeans shorts and my Birkenstock's.

I also decided to put my hair in a low ponytail since we'd be jumping around and stuff. Once I fully get done getting ready I head downstairs to sit in the living room so I can wait on them. Well, I thought I was gonna wait until Noah calls me.

"Hey?"

"Hey so, Niles is acting all sad because he thinks we aren't doing anything for his birthday so We're gonna go ahead and start things. We're on our way"

"Alright, just honk when you get here"

"Okay bye"

I hear the sound of the call ending. Am I prepared to see Nelson? Hell no. Am I gonna have to suck it up anyway? Yes. I got Nile's some stuff from chrome hearts, some new basketball shoes and a little extra things. It's basically a big ass gift basket.

Interrupting my thoughts, I hear the sound of a car horn. I get up and grab Nile's gift thats sitting by the door before heading outside. I unlocked the gate, walk out of it and let it naturally close behind me. Nile's and Noah jump out to help me with all the things. "Aubrey, What all did you get me?!" Niles exclaims. "I can't let you see it till later" I tell him. "What? why later?" He asks. "You'll see" I say as I put his stuff in the trunk. "Are y'all hiding something from me?" He asks with one eyebrow raised.

Me and Noah look at him, then back at each other before shrugging and heading to get in the car. I get in the front and immediately go to put my seatbelt on, but why I turn to buckle it. I lock eyes with Nelson. We stare at each other before I finally break myself and turn back to face forward. "Do you want to play music?" Noah asks me. "Duh? do we wanna play something to get lit for Nile's or something chill?" I ask.

"Play Ian!" Niles shouts from the back. I nod and get on Spotify, playing "Never stop"

"You just gotta trust whats goin' on inside yo gut, cause they gon try to tell you its a problem when its not. But Go head n take it if you want it, never stop. So much dirty money, I need hand sanitizer" We all sing. As soon as the beat drops, I look back to see Nile's dancing to the beat, and basically just in his own world. I laugh before turning back, catching Nelson's eye in the process. I turn around to get all up close to the camera. "Its Ms. Spend that money, I don't care about the price" I sing. "Nah for real" I say as I turn back to sit correctly in my seat.

"Girl what do you mean "Nah for real" Noah asks as he turns down the radio. "Well after spending almost 3k on your little brother, It serves" I reply. "DID YOU JUST SAY 3 THOUSAND?" Niles yells. "Yes I did" I confirm. "Okay it's settled, Aubrey's my favorite" He says. I laugh and shake my head as I get out of the car.

We all walk beside each other, me sandwiched between Nile's and Cozy. Nelson was on the other side of Cozy, talking to a random boy that Nile's had invited. We all walked in and stood in line, bringing up random topics. "So Aubrey, your birthday is in like a week!" Noah said. "Yes it is, sweet 16" I said. "Wait so Nelson's gonna be younger than you?" Cozy asks from behind the camera. "Yeah, he's gonna be baby to me" I say with a fake sad voice. "Baby is crazy when I'm 6 inches taller than you" Nelson blurts out with an attitude. "Okay your not Shaq" I say. He continues on, but I move my attention from him to the lady at the desk. She puts my wristband on me and I follow the others to where ever Niles decided he wanted to go in this big ass place.

He ended up going to this place with basketball hoops that had trampolines for the court. "Dunk contest right now" He says. "Ouuu" Cozy replies. I side eye him before putting a hand on my hip, acting unamused. "Nelson vs Aubrey, Me vs Nick and Noah vs jay" He says.

I think this child is tryna set me up here.

"Alright, I guess we're up first too?" I ask with an attitude. Niles nods while rubbing his hand together.
I shake my head as me and Nelson move to stand infront each other. He hands me the ball, and I immediately jab to the left before quickly switching to the left, making his loose his balance since we were on a trampoline. I smiled before jumping and Euro stepping, and jumping with everything in me. The boys start jumping around Nelson, pulling his shirt and stuff like that after I slam the ball in with both hands.

"AUBREYS LIKE THAT! AUBREYS LIKE THATTT!" Noah exclaims. I laugh and I stand infront of Nelson, handing him the tiny ball. He tries to mimic my move, adding a little twist and he tries to get past me. I tap the ball out of his hand, which makes it roll into the ball pit. "Yeah you can't get passed me" I said. "1v1 when we get home?" He asks. "Oh definitely, it'll be nice to fry your shit after the past couple days" I say as I move to go stand outside of the area. "Damn!" I hear one of Nile's friends and Cozy say in Unison.

We play around some more, and mess around with random little kids before tearing off our wristbands and heading back out to the car. "Okay so Aubrey, what exactly did you mean when you said you spent almost 3k on Niles?" Jay asked. "Um, well something I got him was just over 2k and then the rest just added to it" I said. "Okay I'm telling mom to adopt Aubrey, it's a done deal, I love Aubrey" Niles says as he reaches to dab me up. "I love you too buddy" I say as I reach my hand out too.

Nile's mouth dropped as we approached to Neumann's house. "Dude what the fuck!" He exclaims. Noah laughs as he pulls into the driveway, revealing everyone and everything that was set up for him. We all hop out and as Niles heads to go say hey to everyone, I go to get his stuff from trunk. I open it, revealing all the big sparkly bags I had placed in here. I grab them all, which lowkey cut off circulation to my hands but I'll be fine.

"Oh my gosh! Aubrey you did not have to get all that!" Mama Neumann exclaims as she runs up too me. "Yeah I did" I assure her. I drop the bags as I embrace her in a hug, even thought it had only been a couple days since I had seen her last. "Come on lets get this and you inside!" She says as she picks up a few of the bags. I pick up the rest and follow her inside. I set them down on their big ass dinner table that had god knows how many other gifts on me.

I'm interrupted as I feel a tap on my shoulder, being the one and only. Nelson damn Neumann. "Hey, I made you a plate" He says as he hands me a plate of food. Everything on there was most of my favorite foods. "Thank you" I said with a sweet voice as I sat it down.

Once I finished my food and my conversation with Mama Neumann, I realized everyone was going out to swim. Since I didn't bring my bathing suit and I'm definitely not going up to Nelson's room right now, I just decided i'd sit with my legs in the water.

I walked outside to see Nile's and all the boys in the pool, so I walked to the side that nobody was really at. I took off my shoes, and slowly got down. The water felt food, first time I had got in in a while too. Besides showering and all that, you know.

My attention switches when I hear yelling from the boys. I look to see Niles celebrating after he dunked on someone. The boys look happy, and by "boys" I mean Nelson. He has his big pretty smile on his face while he's messing around and talking to everyone. Maybe I shouldn't be paying so much attention to him considering what he did, but I feel like theres room for forgiveness just not yet.

"Okay time for gifts and the cake!" Mama Neumann shouts from the back door. Everyone floods into the house, all the boys and especially Niles getting out of the pool as fast as they could. I slowly get up and put my shoes back on, following everyone. As I'm walking up to the patio, my shoe catches the concrete and I almost face plant, but the only thing stopping me was a pair of hands that grabbed me by the waist and stabilizing me again.

Nelson's hands.

"Woah Aubrey" He says from behind me. "Thank you?" I say as I turn around to face him. "Its good" He tells me. Even though we didn't say anything, we sat there and stared at each other. I could tell something was off about him. "I'm sorry bre" He says as he looks me directly in my eyes. "It's good nels, but can we continue this when we're not on limited time?" I ask him. "Yeah of course" He replies.

I nod and turn to head back into the house. "Finally we were waiting on y'all" Lavar exclaims. "Dude when the fuck did you get here?" I ask. "Get out my business" he says with sass. I give a stank face and move my attention to Mama Neumann who was about to give a little speech.

After she gives her speech, its time for the cake. After I get mine, I decided I was gonna sit at the table but I'm stopped by someone reaching from behind me and rubbing icing on my cheek. I turn around to see Nelson with the biggest grin on his face, trying not to bust out the laughing. "Okay, your not funny" I say with an attitude. "Yes I am" Nelson says while laughing. Since he decided to be like that, I took some of the blue icing and rubbed it above his lip to look like a mustache, knowing it'll stain.

"Now why have you two gotten icing on your faces?" Mama Neumann asks. Me and Nelson freeze, pointing at one another. "Just get it off and get in the living room, we're about to do gifts" She tells us. Me and Nelson go over to the bathroom, and the white icing comes right off me. Nelson on the other hand, has a blue tint above his lip that he didn't notice. Am I gonna tell him? definitely not.

We leave the bathroom and go sit on the couch next to Noah and Lavar. "Okay who's do u wanna open first" Mama Neumann asked. "Definitely Aubreys!" He shouts. She laughs and hands him the bags that I brung. He pulls out the 2 main things which is a Chrome Hearts hoodie and Basketball shoes. "Oh my god!" He shouts as he pulls out more stuff. He gets to the last thing, which is a chain. "This is hard as fuck" He exclaims. "Dude Aubrey who is ur jeweler?" Noah asks. "Thats disclosed information" I say as I shrug my shoulders. "Thank you Aubrey" Niles says with a big smile across his face. "Your welcome!" I tell him.

The party went on and everyone had fun. Aubrey eventually went home, without talking to Nelson. Nelson was upset that he missed his chance, and Aubrey felt like it was over now.

That is, until the next RWE tournament.
