TODAY MARKS a week since I fractured my ankle. Also, the longest week of my life. Ive had one pt visit so far, it went well and she said I have the chance on recovering early.

I sighed as I practiced my handles while sitting in a chair. My game hasn't changed, its just the fact that I can't play.

"Well you're up early bre" Nelson said as he walked into the backyard. "Yeah, I can't let myself get too rusty" I replied. He nodded his head with a laugh before saying, "Well my family comes back in a week".

I knew that meant he'd have to leave.

"So i'm guessing that means you have to leave?" I ask. "Um yeah.. but Ive been thinking" He trails off. "About?" I ask with a confused look on my face. He took a deep breath before saying, "Well I want you to come with me, meet my family and stuff like that"

Meet his family..? STAY WITH HIM?? I mean I know he's staying with me but like.. me staying with him?

"Yeah I mean.. if my mom doesn't mind" I say. He smiles and nods. "Bring me my phone" I tell him.

Once he does, I call my mom.

"Hey mom?"

"Hey bre, what do u need?"

"Well.. Nelson's family comes back in a week"

"anddd?"

"Nelson wants me to meet his family and maybe stay with him for a little while"

"Well.. ill tell you what. Tell Nelson to talk to his mom, and then once he does that. Give me his mom's number so we can discuss things"

"Okay! thank you mamaa"

"Your welcome bre, ill see you when i get off"

She hangs up the phone and i get up to go tell Nelson. I walk into the living room to see him watching a college game. "Hey nels.. so unfortunately she.." I say before he cuts me off. "Did she say no?" He nervously asks. I put my head down and act all sad. He gets up and comes up to me. "Gotchaaaaa" I say with a laugh. "Aubrey i swear i was finna cry, don't do that shit again" Nelson says.

I laugh at his response and sit down on the couch with him to watch the game.

After we got done watching the game, me and Nelson went up to my room. "Why haven't you unpacked yet?" Nelson asked me. "Well I'm kinda crippled right now, but now that i'm gonna stay with you I'm just keeping it all packed for when we leave" I tell him. "Oh, well funny cause my mom is calling me" He says as he sets up his phone infront of me and him.

"Hey mom" Nelson says.

"Hey hun, what did Aubrey's mom say?" "Nelsons mom says.

"She said yes and that she just needs your number to discuss somethings" I say.

"Oh thats amazing, text it to me and ill text her once we get off the phone" She says with a smile.

I nod my head as i send it to Nelson to send to his mom.

"Aubrey either you can stay with Nelson in his room or you can sleep in the guest bedroom, which ever you prefer" She tells me.

"I want her to stay in my room!" Nelson exclaims as he wraps his arms around my shoulders from behind me.

"Okay nelson goodness, don't choke her!" She replies with a laugh, then takes a FaceTime photo. "Sending that to the family group chat" she finishes.

"Lord mama, okay ill call you later. I love you" Nelson says.

His mom tells him she loves him then hangs up. He picks up his phone to send the number to his mom and look at the family groupchat.

I see a text from Niles saying "Im gonna steal ur girl lil bro"

"What does he mean he gon steal my girl?!.. and lil bro? I'm literally like 2 years older than him!" Nelson yells. "Your girl huh?" I say with an eyebrow raised. "Aubrey don't even" He says, pulling me by my arm to lay on him. I smile and shake my head before laying down on his chest.
