𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 a few days since my cousin, Cam called me. He asked me to travel with him and his AAU team. I love basketball, I love watching it too so of course i had to say yes.

As of right now, i'm getting ready. Cam has a game in Houston, which is where I live so he's picking me up after He lands. Im kinda scared, being surrounded by a bunch a boys for the next couple months is a little scary.

Ive already done my hair, which is just in a mid pony tail with a little bit of baby hairs out by my face. Ive already done my makeup, which is mascara, waterliner & lip gloss. Im wearing black ripped jean shorts, a cropped black true religion shirt and high panda dunks. I decided i was gonna wear jewelry so i picked some bracelets that i got from shein, a belly chain and some tiny bow earrings.

I was just about to lay down when I get a text.

God he always rushing me, anyway. I grabbed both my suit cases, 3 of my duffle bags & my nike elite bag. I put my phone in my back pocket, my mama aint home but i said bye to her before she left for work.

I walked out of my room, somehow managed to get down these god damn stairs. I eventually made it outside to see cam standing beside his car.

"Took you long enough" Cam said.It wasnt even 5 minutes man. I just rolled my eyes."What the hell did you bring all these bags for?"Cam asked."Um.. because? i have alot of things. The suitcases are shoes, duffel bags are clothes and accessories & my nike elite bag is full of basketball stuff just incase i feel like getting in the lab"I replied.

We put my bags in the backseat, & head to the airport.

Once we made it, we went in and waited for the boys.
Cam started filming.

"So today guys, I have someone new. My cousin Aubrey is gonna be traveling with us for the next couple months n shit. Anyway, Im waiting on everyone else to get here, the game starts at 5 so we got plenty of time. See now, the team were playing is trash. I don't even know why were playing them but oh well, just another easy dub" Cam said with a shrug at the end.

Ray, which is the camera man. He comes up to me and says, "Aubrey whatchu gotta say for the camera?"

"Um shit, I don't know I'm just ready to watch this game" I replied.

He shook his head & turned the camera to the team that was coming into the waiting area.

But theres this one curly head..

Cam snapped me outta my thoughts by being loud like he always is when hes around his friends.

"Yo cam, you brought the huz?"Some tall dude with a buzz asked. "Nigga, that is my cousin. Matter fact, come here i'm finna introduce yall"He said, waving his arm for me to come over there.

I got up & stood beside him.

"Okay so, this is Aubrey. Shes gon be with us all summer, she just finished her 8th grade season so I decided to bring her"He said. "Wait.. oh shit thats Aubrey Wilder?"Some white boy with brown curly hair asked. "Uh yeah.."I replied. "Dude you can fuckin hoop. Nice to meet you, Im Jake west" He said reaching his hand.

We dabbed each other up. I low key think lil white boy was tryna flirt.

"Anyway, this is Nelson, Lavar, jalil, Daquan, you already met Jake, Zeddy, Isaac, kiyan, Romelo and Noah who is nelsons brother" Cam said while he pointed to like 10 different dudes... i still got my eyes on that curly head boy named Nelson. "Okay so, the bus is on its way. It'll be here in like 5 minutes or whatever so don't drop y'all stuff yet but yall can chill". Cam said as he went to go talk to Zeddy.

I sat back down and was about to get on my phone when Noah sits down beside me.

"So, i see you looking at my brother"He said with a weird look. "Uh.. what?"I replied tryna act clueless. "Look, He's single and has been because the last girl was just using him for clout. If you get with em, please don't fuck dude up. Im telling you this cause he was looking at you too" Noah said ending his sentence with a laugh. "Well, with that clout shit. I don't need his cause I got my own. Now I dont even know him, so ill get to know him before anything". I said, cause whos finna get with somebody they don't even know? not me wtf.

"Ight, ill talk him into talking to you"He said, then he gets up and goes over to nelson.

The bus gets there and we all head out. Once were on the bus, i sit in the middle next to the middle.

"Shit, Nelson sit by Aubrey" I hear cam say, I look up to see Noah smiling at me. This motherfucker is so sneaky. Nelson sits by me and puts his backpack in between his legs.

"Hey Aubrey"He said, i can tell he's nervous."Hi nelson", i replied."Aye cam! what time is their game today?"Nelson asked.

I was confused, cause tf? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEIR??

"God damnit Nelson!" Cam yelled and shakes his head. "Um.. tf you mean?" I ask. Nelsons face drops.
"Okay well, since Nelly belly ass over here wanted to spill my fuckin beans... I was gonna surprise you with a Jersey today, because as you know I have a girls team" Cam says.

Im stunned as fuck.. My mouth is dropped.

"No shit?" i ask. "Yes Aubrey, now here" Cam replies, then throws a jersey and shorts at me. I catch them and look at them. "Dude these are tuff aa shit!" I said.

They were black with pink running down the chest, pink lines down the sides of both the jersey and the shorts. RWE was also printed in pink.

"Dude when i tell you, be so glad I brung my pink basketball shoes and black socks with me!" I said. "oh shit, you finna be tufffff" Noah said while clapping.

I didn't know that we had been filming till ray comes up to me. "Aubrey how many points you droppin today?" He asks me. Since everyones quiet I stand up. "How many points should I drop for my first game?"

"I say like a clean 30" Cam said. "Okay were going with 30" I told ray and sat back down. "Im excited to see you play today, Ive seen your highlights" Nelson says. "Thank you, your sweet nelson" I said with a smile. "Thank you.. so what do you do besides play ball?" He asks. "Well, I like shoe shopping because I love shoes. I like quality time more than anything, I feel like its most important to be around the people you love" I replied.

"We've got some things in common, Im glad you came aubrey" Nelson says with a smile. "Im glad I did too" I replied and handed him an airpod.

We listened to music the rest of the way there.

Once we got there and managed to get passed atleast 300 kids, I went into the bathroom and changed into my jersey.

I put on my jersey, a black leg sleeve , my socks and then my Aunt Pearl basketball shoes. I took all my jewelry and then put my hair in a slick back ponytail.

I grabbed my stuff and walked down the hallway. Once I opened the door i seen the girls team and the boys.

"ohhh shitt , bre dawg got that shit onnn" Lavar said while shaking me by my shoulders. I smiled in response.
