Both of her parents stood in front of you both. You could feel Yaoyorozu shrink back a little, letting her parents gloom over her. Her father crossed his suited arms. They were both dressed in expensive attire, just how you'd imagine a cliche rich person. They were a little intimidating as well, causing you to tense up too.

"We've been looking for you. What were you doing?" Her mother's words were filled with venom as she stared knives into her daughter.

You gave Yaoyorozu's hand a gentle squeeze to pull her out of a trance.

"Oh uhm, just showing Y/l around.." She muttered, her confidence from before completely leaving.

They both softened up when they noticed you standing beside her, trying to cover up their strictness from before. They gave you a judgmental look up and down and looked back at Yaoyorozu with a forceful smile.

"When we said bring a plus one we expected you'd bring a boy, but I guess bringing a friend is fine too.." Her mother said and gave her father an odd look.

"Well actually-" Yaoyorozu began but she was cut off by her father.

"Don't be so careless next time. You could've missed the main event if you were lost in your own world with your friend." Her father lectured.

"I-.." She was cut off once again.

"You're disappointing Momo.." Her mom spat, this sent you over the edge. Your blood was pretty much boiling as you clenched your fists together causing your knuckles to go pale.

"Enough!" You shouted, speaking louder than you expected.

Her parents both went wide eyed from your snap.

"Did you just raise your voice at us? How dare you." Her father narrowed his sharp eyes on you.

Instead of shrinking back you kept your place.

"No, how dare you, how dare you both. You're both disgusting, you treat your daughter terribly! God dammit you're both fucking narcissists! Your daughter is amazing yet you can't see that over your huge shitty egos." You spoke loudly and strongly, people around you started to turn their attention your way.

Yaoyorozu gave you an uneasy look. "What are you doing.." She whispered timidly. Your angered face gave her a soft smile before returning your attention to her sadistic parents.

"Who do you think you are?!" Her mother gritted her teeth in anger, you definitely knew now that you stepped out of line, though that wasn't holding you back. No, nothing was holding you back now.

"Heh, who do I think I am? I'm that bitch who's passing Yaoyorozu in school. Yes I'm that kid who's "better". But you know what in all honesty she's so fucking much better than me in so many aspects! She's the most hard working girl I've ever met, yet she's so selfless at the same time. Your daughter is the exact definition of perfect when you blind fucks can't see that shit. You are the real disappointments." With each word twined with hate more people began to look at you. You were making a hell of a commotion.

"How dare you.." Her father went to grab you but you swiped his hand away quickly.

"Don't have strength now do you, old man? Now that is disappointing. But you know who else I am?" You turned to Yaoyorozu and placed both of your hands on the side of her face, quickly pressing your lips against hers. You heard gasps around you but the loudest one came from her parents.

You turned back to her parents to speak again. "Yeah I'm her girlfriend, and I have the best fucking girlfriend in the damn world. Just as you have the best damn daughter in the world and you should treat her that way, you dunce idiots!" As you grew with more rage a streak of your toxin ran from your nose. This happens when you are mad, your quirk kicks in, in preparation for battle or needing to defend yourself, trying to produce the most amount of toxin, even if it means it has to come from your nose.

"Y/n.." Yaoyorozu said gently, taking notice of your quirk turning on accidentally.

You clenched your hand and wiped the toxin away, letting it seep back into your body.

"You both are disgusting and will never earn my respect. You're both abusive, the only award you'll ever get is the worst parents to exist award. Just another useless reward to add to your collection, maybe that's why you're both egotistical fucks. Just treat your daughter like a normal human being and maybe love her once in a while. Fucking rot in your fancy ass house with your fancy ass clothes!" You threw one last insult before grabbing Yaoyorozu's hand and rushing away.

Yaoyorozu's parents stood dumbfounded as to what just happened, not knowing what to say except to soak in your truthful and hateful words. The crowd still held their stare, processing as to what just happened as well. Her father turned around to look at the crowd.

"What the hell are you all looking at?" He shouted which made everyone go back to what they were doing.

Not knowing your way around you stopped running away with the girl when you reached an empty hallway. You leaned against the wall, catching your breath from the running and the yelling. Your heart was racing faster than ever, your adrenaline rush was still going.

"Come, I know a place they won't find us." Yaoyorozu said, walking into a room.

You followed her into the dimly lit room, eventually a patio came into sight, it was one of the many ledges on the 2nd floor. You stepped out onto it with the girl. It had a beautiful view, the ledge was facing the city and the city was beautiful at night, the lights lighting up the sky slightly. It was a bit cold since it being winter but it was manageable, nothing extreme.

You heard Yaoyorozu sniffle beside you which made you bring your attention to her. She looked at you just as you looked at her, small tears could be seen in her eyes thanks to the lights from inside the mansion.

"Oh Momo, I'm sorry.. I went overboard and-" You almost began to ramble, feeling guilty from the scene you made.

Unexpectedly, Yaoyorozu hugged you tightly, softly sobbing into your neck. You quickly hugged her back, holding her in a comforting embrace. You softly sifted your hands through her hair as her warm tears hit your neck.

"You stood up for me in front of my parents. You spoke to them with no filter and only the truth.. It's amazing, my whole life I was never able to do such a thing yet you did it so effortlessly." She said, composing herself then standing up right to look at you.

You wiped the last of her tears away with your hand.

"I just hope the point got through their thick skulls.."

"Oh I bet it did, you said some pretty strong things and I never heard you cuss that much before. I will admit it was quite hot." She sniffled then laughed.

"You're odd." You said with a playful grin and caressed her cheek softly.

She put her hand on yours to keep it there. She looked into your eyes meaningfully.

"I love you." She said wholeheartedly.

Her words struck you like a wave, a wave of so many emotions it was difficult to speak. But your face said enough before your mouth could, a big warm smile spread across your face.

"I love you too Momo." You pulled her into a strong and passionate kiss, pressing your body against hers, not wanting to ever let her go.

The sound of a loud boom made you jump off her, you let out a small gasp.

Yaoyorozu giggled as she pointed to the sky. You followed her gesture to look up and say many fireworks of different colours and shapes lighting up the dark night sky. Dare you say the fireworks were brighter than the smile you just had on.

Yaoyorozu pulled you back into her, holding you close as you both watched the show of fireworks. You looked over at Yaoyorozu who was watching them with much interest and fascination, her face was lit up from the fireworks, allowing you to make out her features.

She caught you staring and locked eyes with you.

"Watch the fireworks, you're going to miss them."  She said,

"I think I like this view more." You have her a grin and another kiss.

Yaoyorozu giggled softly and whispered.

"I love you so much."

"I love you more."

"That's debatable my dear."

She pulled you into a kiss this time, it was filled with love and passion. It made your heart explode yet this felt right. Loving her felt right. You both didn't care about the magnificent fireworks anymore, you only cared about each other, you loved each other with every cell within your body.

You always said you never worked well with others. You liked to be alone, that's where you felt you could be the best you, yet Yaoyorozu has shown you otherwise. You were your best self  with the girl you loved most, even if it had a rough start. But there's always a rainbow after the storm, this is your happy ending. You once said you hated working with a partner, but with Yaoyorozu, well she's the only one you would ever want to be with.

It may be the end, but it's the beginning of a new chapter. A new chapter of your life. Don't let the end finish you.
