๐“he officer sighed as he handed the card back to Moo-jin, "sorry kid, this number doesn't exist" The officer said nonchalantly and Moo-Jin scoffed in disbelief. The officers there had been giving him shit since he's gotten there. "The hell do you mean it doesn't exist?" He asked as irritation laced his voice and the cop sighed.

"Exactly what I said" He said simply as he watched Moo-jin groan in annoyance as he ran a hand through his hair, "Look kid, ever thought she just didn't want to be with you anymore?" The cop said as Moo-Jin rolled his eyes at the cop "We weren't together" Moo-Jin said, but when he said it, it sound like a record. like he had been saying it on repeat times before.

The cop sighed, "I can't help you kid" He said and Moo-Jin scoffed "Piece of shit" he said in annoyance and frustration as he snatched the card back from the officer as he began to walk to the door before he stopped as he spoke, "and you know what, fuck you!" he exclaimed as everyone in the department stopped and stared at him as he walked out.

"Son of a bitch" Moo-jin grumbled as he walked out into the cold october air, to be truly and utterly honest Moo-jin never liked cops. and this is why, they didn't help at all.

Moo-Jin cursed under his breath as his brain racked with other ideas to try and find you, but as he walked he heard the bell from the police department ring indicating someone had walked out as he heard footsteps coming towards him. "Ayy! kid!" He heard making him roll his eyes in annoyance "Fuck off" he said simply as he continued walking.

But as he walked he suddenly got shoved making him stumble forward slightly. son of bitch. "hey man! the hell is wrong with you!" He yelled in frustration as he turned and shoved the man back, the male looked maybe in his late twenties, early thirties. as he just shook his head and chuckled but there was no humor behind it.

"I know how to find your girlfriend" He said simply and Moo-Jin sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, not having enough patience to correct him. "The hell are you talking about?" He asked as his face held irritation and confusion and suddenly a black van pulled up beside them as a big buff guy hopped out with another guy. weird guy.

"The hell is this?" The buff guy asked before he continued, "we can't be stopping to chat, we have things to do" He said and the guy from the police department rolled his eyes before turning back to Moo-Jin, "Jun-ho" he said putting his hand out but Moo-Jin left it hanging.

"Where's Ah-reum?" Moo-Jin said simply and coldly, that's all he carried about at the moment. she was all he carried about. Jun-ho was going to speak before the weird guy spoke, "She's trapped on an island where she has to play killing children's games."

๐Œoo-Jin unlocked the door to his apartment as he walked in with Jun-ho, and fount out the weird guy name was Woo-seok. Jun-ho walked in as he watched Moo-Jin walk to a room that looked like his as he shut the door behind him, "This place all yours?" He asked as he walked into the room following as Woo-seok quickly followed as he walked into his room looking around as Jun-ho leant against the doorway.

He watched how Moo-Jin had an almost emotionless look on his face as he hurriedly and grabbed things putting it in his pocket, such as his wallet and phone, etc. "Doesn't it look like it" Moo-Jin said blankly as it was more like a statement then a question.

Jun-ho just shrugged in amusement sensing how he got a rise out of the boy, "I just didn't expect a kid to have their own place" He said and Moo-Jin was going to speak but he got cut off "Dear Ah-reum-" Woo-seok began to read as he held a something that was nicely wrapped in paper as Moo-Jin snatched it from him.

"Stop touching things" He said coldly as he shoved it in his pocket, and walked pass Jun-ho out the room as he just smirked as he turned to watch him walk to the other part of the house as Woo-seok quickly followed him.

"Hey how old are you kid?" He asked as Moo-Jin spoke "Eighteen" He said simply as Woo-seok eyes widened in surprise "and how old is she?" He asked and Moo-Jin sighed before speaking "Sixteen, she turns seventeen in sixteen days"

Jun-ho hummed from the kitchen not even paying attention to their conversation as he held up a stack of money that was laid on the table, "dirty money?" He asked and Moo-Jin groaned as he snatched it from him and put it back down. "It's not mine" he said and Jun-ho just chuckled.

"well that note says clearly that you can have it" He said and Moo-Jin rolled his eyes, "well clearly, I don't want it" He said as he walked towards the front door. "Let's go find Ah-reum and Gi- whatever his name was"

Time seemed to move slow for ten year old Ah-reum as she waited for her father to return, he said he would. he promised. It's been six days, six days in counting. almost a week since he's been gone. And Ah-reum felt as if she was boring out of her mind.

She was bored out of her mind as she laid on her stomach on the couch as she kicked her feet in the air as she let her young mind wonder, like where was her dad? he promised everything would be different when he got back. when was he getting back?

Ah-reum was a lonely girl. she didn't have friends, didn't go to school. but that was simply because her dad couldn't pay for school, so he home schooled her. He was her best friend. she told him everything.

So Ah-reum stared out into the distance in boredom as the light flickered in their old apartment as the tap dripped water in the kitchen as she sat in silence in thought.

Her head shot up as she head keys outside the door as she sat up excitedly, "Pa!" she yelled excitedly as she ran to the door she heard her dad let a humorous chuckle out as she walked to the door but it didn't open making her confused.

"Pa?" She asked as her hand tried to turn the knob on the door but her father held it still. She continued to try and turn the knob in confusion, "Pa what's going on?" She asked as she tried to turn the knob when suddenly she heard a groan and a thud making her brows furrow as she stepped back from the door as she looked down and saw blood seeping under the door as her heart dropped.

"Pa!" She yelled as she banged on the door in fright and confusion as she heard a groan in pain, "J-Just stay in there" She heard him say as she banged on the door. "No! no! pa open up!"

She screamed, yelled even begged as it was no use. she quickly searched through the house to find anything useful as to open the door when suddenly she thought of something. a gun. her dads gun.

She quickly ran to the couch pulling the cushions up as she lifted them and quickly grabbed it as she ran back to the door. "Pa!" she yelled as she pushed and shoved trying to open the door when suddenly there was a loud bang outside the door making her freeze in fright and terror.

"Pa!" She screamed as she opened it as she finally pushed it open as his hand wasn't holding the handle anymore but his body was leant against the door as she pushed it open seeing him slumped against the back of it with a stab and bullet wound.

She screamed in terror as tears fell down her cheeks as she tried to stop the bleeding, "G-Go back inside" He croaked as she shook her head as tears fell down her face as she stared at him as he suddenly went limp.

She stared in shock as you shook him, "pa?.." She said as she shook him but it was no use. he was gone. She sobbed as she looked up to notice the man with the gun walking away, she couldn't see his face but she saw him. A man in a black suit.

And that day Ah-reum realized her father was right, everything changed when he returned. and not for the good.
