-- Y/N POV --

Logical thinking hadn't always been perfectly etched into the mind of Samuel. He had never been the logical one, always had he been rather intrusive or illogical.

I had been the logical-thinker of us two. The peaceful calm in the ruthless storm...

Now the storm had risen to it's brim, loudly roaring and threatening triumphant disaster. I had watched him with saddened eyes, his fists were clenched steadily beside him. He had looked so very determined, so very aggravated...

I had always admired the look his face would pull at his determination... but it had always served as a dire curse. I had stepped closer as he had moved to turn his back on me.

I had found it entirely profound, wanting to offer homosapiens the idea of choice... a chance at rebellion. Why pester with such ideals when it had spewed out as unnecessary, harmony had been held with the latest creation, Eve, with her mate... After Lillith's departure that is...

I had known he was hurt so many times for his ideas being neglected by the other divine creatures of Heaven, I had been aware better than anything. I had always supported his thoughts and his creations... I had promised to follow him. And I would.

But he had to understand the grave implications this could hold.

I had gently took a hold of his shoulder, spinning him towards me with a swift movement. I had quickly searched his eyes, my breath steady as his features displayed distasteful emotions. I had frowned sympathetically. He was hiding something, I could feel it within my core.

"Please... Sam..." I had began hastily letting him go as I held myself, observing his reactions. His eyes had flickered a form of acknowledgement,

"Speak, Y/N." my breath had hitched, looking down,

"Look! This path of hate, is a dangerous track... You take one step, and it's hard to look back!"

He scoffed softly, moving away as he started walking. I had followed him desperately,

"Samuel! Don't you see? This... path...it leaves a permanent mark, it feels good at first but it'll slowly turn dark... Each passing day, you'll be further astray from the light!" he glanced my way warily, his expression still undeniably hostile, my cadence had been so shaking in my speech. I had felt my eyes water as I clawed at his sleeve suddenly.

"Every loss is harder to excuse, Sam!"

"What's there to lose, Y/N ... I have such little. You and I, we're not the same... I'm not lost, this path is mine to choose."

"What... What's there to lose, Samuel?" I had still held onto his sleeve, he had halted as abruptly as I had held onto him. He had cast me look of disapproval, my voice had been breaking as tears had seeped from within me.

"... You could lose it all! You may think you do not have many, Samuel, but you should be thankful for what you have! You have I, your faith... Sam... once you... loose complete control... you'll realize...

There's nothing left to lose!" he held his head, keeping his gaze down as he lowly growled at my words. I had moved to hold onto his face delicately with my hands, staring into the abyss that was his eyes. He had stared back with a certain desolation, his expression slowly became darker and more complex ...

"Samuel... Sam, please... What are you thinking? Somethings on your mind." he had deadpanned, his gaze had dropped as a guilt seemed to wash over him. I had felt my breath caught in my throat, pulling him closer as I watched him with worried eyes. Samuel had sighed so very softly, gazing back at me with a somber look.

"Sam..."

"My Starlight... I've been... dishonest." he had looked away once again, I held him steadily in my hands, desperately searching him.

"Dishonest? Of what? Confess your transgression... I'll forgive you, Samuel... I'll always forgive you..."

"I've... been ... finding comfort in... In Lillith, Y/N. I've grown very fond of her. I'm... Sorry."

... Another?

Another...

Another.

I felt my expression fall into desolation with raging speed as I stared at him blankly, my grip loosening as I let him go. I had felt my eyes threaten liquid, staring at him idly...

"W...What..."

"Y/N. I'm standing by her side, this ... rebellion... It will aid us, her... she deserves freedom and she has had a taste of it! We've agreed all beings of her race should have the chance at something like that..."

"You're standing ... by her... side? Hers?" I felt my lip tremble as I stared on, my tone exceedingly quiet as it had dropped into a low whisper. I had barely made an effort to appear audible anymore. His brows sank as his eyes became remorseful.

"... Samuel... Samuel, it's... It's fine. It is, I recognize cannot change that, I ... Please understand what you are attempting. Be logical for once in your existence. Please, stay! You can have her, Lord, you can!

Just don't commit this act, let me forgive you, let us live harmony!" I said quietly, setting my feelings aside as I did not want to confide in them by a second.

Is this what God had warned us of, the unspoken evil that had lurked beneath our Heavens and Cosmos?

The very thing us beings had been strenuously attempted to keep out from our creations and all?

Had this feeling of despair and ... ugly... ugly... UGLY ... hatred... brewing beneath me... been a sign of ... such obscenity? Dear Lord, be within my palms and guide my mind and existence to betray this wretched thought!

I had clasped my hands tightly to my chest. He huffed loudly as he became hostile once more, cocking his neck to the side. Samuel had circled me as he turned his back once more, he had dismissed me.

"I've made my mind, Eveningstar. Do not put me to halt, despise me? It's fine... I'm taking what's mine. I do not care if you follow me, I do not need you nor your judgment.

Now... I've got nothing left to loose."
