I took a step gingerly checking if there was anything that was going to jump out on me and attack or something else, I don't know.
I take my time opening the vines splitting them in half as I do so preparing both my quirks ready if needed but it wasn't necessary though. I was just being on the safe side. Right.
What display in front of me left me in total awe. It was magnificent, no spectacular either way I couldn't find a word which could best describe this place it was basically impossible to look away from this scene. It even looks better than my previous place although it did feel like my 1st home (we just don't talk my other house).
This place has such a serene and tranquil feeling that I couldn't describe made me feel so calm, so happy and I can be myself without anyone judging me at all. I love the way how the rose-pink cherry blossoms sway to and fro with not the slightest care in the world, just minding their own lives. Nearby lay a miniature pond where birds of all kind - to the red chested robins all the way to the cute tuneful bluebirds. This place seems as if it were one of those Fairy-tale movies instead of the cruel earth.
I dare to take a step inside this mysterious place imaging it is an alternate universe perhaps.
I shall now claim this as mine! I thought triumphantly.
The sun was setting in the distance making a beautiful sunset it's colours so vibrant and bright yet warm and giving me a peace, I never thought I had.
I hastily search my bag for my phone and air pods wanting to capture this moment and permanently keep it in my mind till the rest of my days.
***
Noticing the time, I begin to get up and leave this beauty giving it a second glance, figuring out in my head how I found this place so I can see it again and again.
Better hurry before they question where I've been all this time.
~
I ran half jog until I close up to my house only needing to turn on a curb. I silently take my keys from one of my bags pockets and twist the key into the lock, wincing when it made a little noise. As I open the door, I thought I was secure for another day but boy was I wrong.
"And where have you been?" a stern female voice came from the hallway. Oh shit here we go again. I roll my eyes to myself luckily my mother didn't see that. "I asked you a question young lady."
Ugh! I absolutely hate it when she says young lady, she uses it as an insult and loves to do it to piss me off.
Think fast. What should I say as an excuse? Err....
"Study with a friend." I bluntly said as an excuse but nevertheless she believes it.
"And who is that friend of yours? Sorry I mean if you have any friends exactly."
She's on to me now IΒ should've used a different answer but I wasΒ panicking, now I've got to say someone's name in my class preferably a girl otherwise she'll think I'm a hoe. And now I'll have to have a friendship with them to make it real. Oh bother.
"Ummm.... Errr... Uraraka? Yeah her."
She mumbles an okay as a response and goes back to the kitchen to finish her cooking.
Phew nearly caught AGAIN!
I go to our 2nd living room (it's bigger than the first) and see my father slouched on the sofa with 2 bottles of vodka beside home gulping down his 3rd now.
That drunkard.
I try to run past the door crouching making sure he doesn't notice me but unlucky me doesn't go fast enough.
At least he's in his happy moods but that's only when he has a bottle or two, wouldn't be surprised if he died tomorrow.
"Hey! Y/n you're back, come and sit on daddy's lap so I can talk to my princess,"
"Father I'm not a little girl anymore." I respond with a sickenly sweet voice and also giggle like those bratty girls I've seen everywhere.
"Aww come on I just wanna spend some time with my favourite girl in the world!"
Wow if you really wanted to spend time with me you should of when I was a child instead of you cheating on mother, but she still doesn't know, that so that's a secret I'll keep from her only.
I was still planted in my spot physically refusing to move an inch closer to him. When I still hadn't move he, himself, staggersΒ towards me his steps kind of a lunge that was a bit trippy and every other foot he took he hazily moved left and right unable to control himself.
"I've missed you, how was your day at school, sweetheart?"
Father was giving me a great big bear hug which made me feel uncomfortable, his breath stank of vodka tickling ,in fact suffocating, my nose his muscular figure leaning over me making me feel inferior to him after he stops strangling my chest.
"I... Err got homework to do," I say in a hurry to get away from him not standing be with this drunk lunatic any longer.
"Y/n I thought you already did it with that Uraraka girl you told your mother about it." Father's face had abruptly transform into a jolly face to a stern and narrow eyed one.
Oh god what have I done I would've been better to make up another one.
"Well I still have to continue on some because we were playing a bit."
Good enough.
A grunt escapes out of his mouth he almost scowls when I said it but it was obviously a signal for me to get away from him unless I want something bad coming my way.
I run up to my bedroom and lay on my bed not feeling anything right now. Not hungry not thirsty not happy nor sad just emptiness.
I badly yearn to go back to my fantasy world I recently discovered.
Maybe I can.
I think about maybe skipping school to chill there and think up my plan to go there tomorrow.
