HELAENA AND DANY ARRIVED A QARTH'S GATES with Dany having Helaena by her side with an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close as they were met by an army at the front gates

"I thought we were welcome?" Dany asked

'If you heard a Dothraki horde was approaching your city you might do the same" Jorah told  the sisters, Helena looked back at her people "A horde?" Helaena asked

"My name is Daenerys-" Dany started but got cut off "Daenerys stormborn and Helaena Sunfall of the house Targaryen  He finished his sentence 

"You know us, my Lord?' Dany questioned. "Only by reputation," he said 

"I am no lord merely a humble merchant," he told them "They call you the mothers of dragons.'

"And what should we call you?" Dany offered "Oh my name is quite long and quite impossible for foreigners to pronounce," the man said, H was a chubby man who seemed a little too prideful 

"I am simply a trader of spices" he told them "but we are the 13 charged with the governance and protection of qarth. The greatest city that ever was or will be" Helaena rolled her eyes

"The beauty of Quarth is legendary-" Dany began "Qarth" He corrected "Might we see the dragons?" He asked, Helaena looked at Dany who looked back at the two horses with cages

"My friend," she said hesitantly "we have traveled very far we have no food no water once I see my people fed I would be honored-" Dany said but the man interrupted again 

"Forgive me mother of dragons but no man alive has seen a living dragon some of my more skeptical friends refuse to believe you're...Children even exist all we ask is a chance to see for ourselves"

"We are not liars," Dany told him. "Oh, I don't think you are as I've never met you before my opinion on the matter is of limited value"

'Where I come from guests are Treated with respect and not insulted at the gates" Helaena said now being fed up, Dany kept a firm grip on her shoulders still

"Then perhaps you should return to where you come from. we wish you well" He said before turning away and heading back into the gates direction 

"What are you doing you promise to receive us" Dany said "We have received you," he said "Here we are in here you are you"

"If you do not let us in all of us will die," Dany told him.

"Which we will deeply regret but Qarth did not become the greatest city that ever was or will be by letting Dothraki savages through its gates" he said before turning around again

They turned leaving them out in the desert sand as Dany looked at Helaena before moving forward again

"Thirteen" Dany yelled out "When our dragons are grown we will take back what was stolen from us and destroy those who have wronged us" Dany yelled at them 

"We will lay waste to armies and burn cities to the ground. Turn us away and we will burn you first" Helaena said as she joined in from behind now joining her sister

"You are true Targaryens only as you said a moment ago if we don't let you into the city you will all die so," The man said  "Retreating in fear from little girls is unbecoming of the greatest city that was or ever will be," one of the Thirteen said,

"The discussion is over Xaro Xhoan Daxos. The Thirteen have spoken-"

"I am one of the Thirteen and I am still speaking,"  Xaro told him "Those girls threaten to burn a city to the ground and you would invite her in for a cup of wine?"

'They are the mothers of dragons you expect them to watch their people starve without breathing fire? I believe we can let us a few Dothraki in our gates without doing our city after all here I am a savage from the summer isles and Qarth still stands" He said as Helaena smiled

"Our decision is final," The spice man said "Very well," Xaro said "I invoked Sumai"  He pulled his blade free from his pocket

"I will vouch for Them, Their people, and their dragons in accordance with the law" he cut his hand showing his blood to the thirteen "Be it on your head," The spice man said angry

"Welcome to Qarth my lady," Xaro said and the gates opened. Helaena came next to Dany as Dany pulled her in close with an arm over her shoulder as they walked in, The Dothraki following

Helaena had the room right next to Dany, Talia and another Dorthraki handmaiden were helping her around the room, Talia laid out the dress Xaro gave her as Jhiqui Was fixing her hair 

When they finally went outside, Talia and Doreah wore New dresses givn to them while Irri and Jhiqui wore some clean Dorthraki clothes.

Helaena walked around the garden with her hands behind her back as she took in the air, A lady was talking to Dany suggesting her about some markets when Helaena noticed two dorthraki men arguing with Jorah

She approached them quickly "What are they doing?" Helaena said as she approached them

"Mallaco says that the statute is too heavy to carry" Jorah told her. "Cavarro says that mallaco is an idiot. They can pry out the gems the rest is pure gold. Very soft he can stop at chop off as much as we can carry" Jorah said

"Or melt it very simple" cavarro suggested in Dorthraki

"We are his guests we can't pry it or chop it or melt it"  Helaena told them back in dorthraki "Of course not Khalakki we will wait until we leave" Cavarro said again

"Not when we leave" Hlaena said to him "Why not?"

"Our host saved us from the red waste and your want to steal from him? I will hear no more" Helaena commanded, Jorah smiled at the young Targaryen commanding the two Bloodriders

The two men sighed and walked away as Joraha nd Helaena began to walk side by side 

"My brother used to say that the only thing Dothraki knew was to steal things better than men have built" Helaean said as she walked with Jorah

"That's not the only thing they're quite good at killing the better man" Jorah said to Helaena

"That's not the kind of queen my sister is going to be" Helaena told Jorah "and if you were queen?" Jorah asked "A person cannot rule forever, when Khaleesi dies you will be her heir" Jorah said as Helaean looked down

"Mother of dragons on behalf of the warlocks of Qarth I welcome you" a man with his face peeled a bit off called to Helaena, Dany was too far away talking to another member of the thirteen 

"the warlocks of Qarth want to welcome you. A demonstration perhaps?' he suggested.

"Take this gem" he put it in her hand "look at it look into it depths" he said "so many facets look closely enough and you can see yourself in them" He said as helaena looked in the gem

"Often more than once" the same man appeared behind him like they duplicated each other, Helaena looked in shock as did some of the people around him 

"Should you go tired of Xaro's baubles and trinkets it would be an honor to host you and your sister at the house of the undying"he told her "you are always welcome mother of dragons"

"My apologies Bi pree is one of the thirteen it is customary for me to extend him an invitation" Xaro said as she came behind Helaena "Customs die a slow death in Qarth" He said to Helaena

"What is the house of the undying?" Helaena asked him

"It is where the warlocks go to squint into dusty books and drink shades of red in the evening it turns their lips blue and their minds soft. So soft they actually believe their parlor tricks are magic" Xaro said as he led helaena away and laughed along with her

"You watch over her?" a woman said "Do I know you?' He asked the women who wore a mask covering her whole face but her eyes "I know you Jorah Mormont of Bear island" the woman said

"Who are you?" Jorah Questioned "Im no one" She said back

"she is the mother of dragons both of them they need true protectors now more than ever. There shall come day and night to see wonder born into the world again and when they see you they should last for generations, dragons for fire made flesh and fire is power" The women said as she turned and left
