"But--"
"The smoke isn't good for your lungs!" burying my mouth and nose into my arm, as we all manage to get outside down the stairs and into the fresh air. Taking a moment to do slow deep breaths, I noticed a sudden commotion to my left side when my eyes slowly widen in horror at the unsightly figure.
"Section Commander?! Hey you two!!!" A woman rushes towards us, recognising her as Hitch. "Are you three alright?!"
Mikasa gasps, "Hitch! What was that?!"
Hitch turns to her, "The Premier's office just exploded!" before she turns to me, as she looks at the state I was in. "Is she oka--?"
"Has anyone seen him? Section Commander?" Mikasa questions me, cutting Hitch completely off. "You were in there! What happened?! Please tell us?!"
My words came out in shock before turning to see a body, as my feet began carrying me towards him. Anger began to slowly surface as my steps soon began into run, as the Military Police noticed my sudden presence and the state. "Section Commander, what happened?! Your--!!!"
"Who did this?!"
Finally getting closer I saw Zachary's body, but it was only half of him that was left there with his eyes soulless. Mangled and torn apart with his skin burned, or stripped from the body. His blood pools beneath him from the waist, where his body was torn with organs spilling out or mostly damaged from the explosion.
Swallowing back my emotions, I felt my anger boiling hotter than the flames itself. My breathing grew heavier and thicker, finding it difficult to breath after the attack. Still not hearing everyone properly as their voices came out faint, the constant ringing raised my anxiety higher and higher as the chaos continues.
"Give your hearts and souls!!!" A civilian yells, from the protesting crowd.
"Our anger's finally reached them!!!" Another announces. "The time has come for us to fight!!!"
"I'll fight right beside you!!!"
"Me too!!!"
The devastation and appalled looks spreads across the Military police, as they were shocked by how everything escalated quickly. Even I was furious to the point where my knuckles were turning white, and the pain became bearable than ever before. Whoever did this has to show themselves, and justify their fucking actions.
"Give your hearts! Give your hearts!!!!!!" a civilian shouts. "Give your hearts!
The crowd begins to chant those words repeatedly, whilst my breathing grew shaky trying to stay conscious for a little longer. My head was still painfully throbbing, feeling dehydration instantly from it all. The constant yelling and the fire burning the inside of Premier Zachary's office, began to feel more overwhelming than I thought.
Why couldn't I have saved him on time? I was right there....

I apologise I haven't updated in a few months due to studying a course in TAFE, and being more busy than I used to be and also getting sick and working on other books.
I hope you all are doing well! Hopefully I'll update more, now things are coming to plan!
