Silent tears begin to cascade down, like a silent waterfall.

"M-Mother I.......you.....why....." no words could comprehend how I felt, as her eyes were slowly fading.

My jaw clenched so tight, my throat strains tightly finding it difficult to breathe.

"Protect humanity......protect Mei......Renji.....and...." her voice soon fades instantly, as my eyes were wide. My heart felt like it sank to the pits, struggling to find air. Her head sank beneath my grasp, her skin colder than ever before.

Silence soon drifts between us, like a thread snapped.

"I-I'm sorry......." barely a whisper, I stood up.

Standing before her I salute her one last time, as I cover her body in debris. Turning back around to the village, my hands tightening into fists. Drawing my blades out, I must make them last. I'm only two blades down, so I must do as much as I can.
