โ”€ โœง*:.๏ฝก. CHAPTER ONE .๏ฝก.:*โœง
double double, toil and trouble

Jocasta lived on chaos. That much was known. Not like she had a choice in being an accountant or anything. She was born in an elite coven of wiccans. Most of which, resides back Japan but the head family, The Lin Kueis, resides back in Greendale.

Which bored the young witch to tears.
But she found her own fun. And that was causing mischief. Rather it be something big or something small, she was the center of it all. All while being super kind to others or her friends. Which included Sabrina Spellman, a half breed she's been in a good enough friendship with. Sometimes Sabrina is a buzzkill to her pranks but whenever she needed her, Jocasta was always there.

The Spellman's and the Lin Kuei's have always had history. Some good and some not so good. But at the end of the day, they work together somehow. Which was why Jocasta was allowed to have Sabrina as a friend. Because her father is a high priest of their coven and had been friends with Sabrina's father, they were able to be friends. Despite the fact that not everyone was okay with his decision. Even within the Lin Kuei coven. But no one dared to speak up about it. For her father was a merciless high priest. His words were law.

"Remind me again, what is the purpose of this mediocre movie?" Jocasta whispered to her scared date. A date Harvey, the idiot that's dating Sabrina, had set up for her.

Even though it technically wasn't a date if you had two other friends with you. Susie and Rosalind tagged along on that Halloween night. Every Halloween season, the cinema would always play scary movies. Both old and new. And Harvey just had to be generous and set her up on a date with one of his football idiot friends. His name was Kevin or something. She didn't bother to remember.

The boy was a scared little lamb inside of a muscle bound body and handsome face. He sleeps over confidence and arrogance meanwhile, here he is. Shaking and screaming more than the women in the theater. She didn't understand why Harvey thought this was a good idea but here she was.

She's gotta stop listening to Sabrina.

"The purpose of this is for you, Jo, to not get in any trouble." Sabrina whispered back to her, her eyes still glued on the screen. Jocasta huffed, crossing her arms. This was boring and stupid but since she pulled out the it's also my birthday soon, you have to do it Who was she to deny her?

"Kevin here is too much of a pussy to realize that this movie is stupid." She mumbled, glancing at him. "I mean seriously, if you wanna see a real zombie-"

"Zombie on tv!" Sabrina interrupted, seeing as how Harvey, Rosalind and Susie were looking at her. Sometimes Jocasta forgot that her mortal friends didn't know they were witches. "I know, Jo. We would watch the Walking Dead but come on, it's my birthday soon."

Jocasta once again huffed and turned to the camera. "Fine...."
Sabrina smiled at her in victory before turning back to the screen.

- ๐ŸŒน-

"Well, that was terrible."

After the movie, the group walked down the stairs and out the cinema, talking about the movie. Well most were. Jocasta just listened as they talk about things they didn't know. It was cute seeing mortals convulse in excitement over fake blood and movie makeup. She could show them the real deal. But Sabrina said no pranks so....whatever.

"I was confused by the zombies," Harvey questiond. "I mean, why were they so freakin' slow?"

"Do you want the undead running to kill you faster than the speed of light?" Jocasta asked sarcastically. Susie snorted a little while Sabrina gave a small and humorous smile. "Though the thought of a fast moving zombie is a relatively new concept, earlier incantations would suggest that reanimating would be conflicting to the corpses by rigor mortis and as such, making them move slow."

"Okay, the fact that you know so much about dead things, both creeps and fascinates me thoroughly." Rosalind chuckled out. Jocasta shot her a mischievous wink. "Trust me, I know about a lot more than just dead things."

As they began to leave, the group saw a small group of jocks. Jocasta surveyed them and then noticed the fearful look on Susie's face. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize why she's scared suddenly. She could practically feel it ripple through her.

"You know, I feel bad for them." Jocasta said, standing next to Susie, making the girl jump a little.

She looked at her, waiting for her to continue. "There was untapped potential in their minds but of course, the male masculinity had became too strong that it knocked out whatever knowledge they had."

Susie didn't know why Jocasta was being so nice all of the sudden. She was always nice but it followed up with something mischievous. This time, it was just her being kind. And Susie felt grateful for that. Jocasta smiled a little at her before walking past her.

"Sabrina darling!" Jocasta called, walking over to her. She almost didn't notice the woman she was talking to. "Oh, sorry."

The lady was beautiful. She had glasses on her nose, her hair was kept in some sort of mom ponytail, and she was bundled up in a long cardigan and turtleneck. "Oh no, it's fine." She said, kindly. "Um...I'm sorry Sabrina, but I do have papers to grade. But thank you for the offer."

The two watched as she walked away, before yelling. "See you in class!" At the blonde.

"Why would you do that?" Rosalind asked, staring at their teacher leaving.

"She just seemed lonely, I guess." Sabrina said. Jocasta sighed before turning to her friend.
"Well, this has been fun and rather.... interesting." She said. "I gotta go."

"What? You're not coming with us?" Sabrina asked, a bit disappointed.

Jocasta shrugged nonchalantly. "I've got things to do early morning. The sun waits for no one."

Her friends didn't catch on but Sabrina did. She knew that her baptism was coming meaning, Jocasta had to be prepared for it. Since her father was gonna be the one to coordinate it. Halloween was around the corner.

"Awww, well, thank you for coming out." Harvey said, bidding his goodbye.

"Hope we can hang out again." Rosalind added.

Jocasta waved at them as she began walking to her parked car. Which was an old 1950's black mustang her father gave her after she passed her driving test. They're family is rich, what can she say? They're also very doting too.

Jocasta got into her car and slammed the door. Before she could put her keys in the ignition, a voice popped up next to her. "Is that what mortals call a date? Screaming over things that are stupid?"

"Ahh!" Jocasta screamed as she looked at whoever it was that was in her passenger seat.

It was Gabriel Lovegรผd. A friend of hers and someone who is strangely possessive of her. She never knew why.
Also, he is one of the sons of Satan, himself. Or Dark Lord, as witches and warlocks would call him. He has a fraternal twin brother named Lucien, who by comparison, is nicer than Gabriel. A bit more emotional than him, if she's being honest.

Technically speaking, Jocasta was friends with the 'antichrists'.

"Goddamnit, Gabriel!" She yelled at him. To which, he didn't mind. He kept staring at the teens that passed by, rough housing and talking. "Do you always have to do this?!"

"If it means I get to see your face whenever you are frightened, yes I do." He replied, peering at her with a handsome smirk. "That idiotic bafoon didn't touch you, did he?"

Jocasta rolled her eyes as she started up her car. "Why is it that every time I associate myself with the opposite gender, you become this possessive tyrant all the time? Also, we're not even together or courting as you put it."

Gabriel moved a strand of her black hair out of her face gently while she tried to ignore his physical contact.
"Because, my little red witch," he said softly. "You're mine."

Jocasta sighed as she began to drive out of the parking lot. This night was a waste.
Down to the end.
