"How are they doing?" London asked The Professor as she walked up to his table and put her hand on his shoulder. The crew was getting ready to transfer all of the money from the Royal Mint to The Professor's place as London and Sergio were together waiting for them.
To say that this was a stressful time, would be an understatement. This was the end and everybody knew that if they were gonna screw this part up, then all of their work will become useless.
Not to mention that London hadn't seen everyone for some time, which wasn't long in real life, but it was very long for her personally. The days went by very slowly as she waited for everyone to accomplish their plan and get back safely.
She regretted coming back and missing out on this extraordinary moment. She was feeling weak that she couldn't go there and help everyone since that was the main reason she was at the heist in the first place.
The Professor was monitoring everything as London came up to him, but when he saw her, he removed his headphones with the microphone and smiled at her. "They're making progress, that's for sure. But they really have to hurry and keep up the pace."
London looked at the monitors and saw that time was of the essence. They had to really boost things up if they wanted to get out alive and it was making the both of them pretty anxious. "Yeah, I can see that. But can I help out with anything maybe?"
The Professor's crew was working with the tunnel digging from the other side, but Sergio didn't let London help since she wasn't equipped physically to carry out such work all by herself. He took care of her all this time and didn't want for her to get worse.
"Sorry, London, but I don't want for you to feel worse later." Sergio stood up and wrapped his hands around the young woman as she looked up at him with a more disappointed look. "We will take care of it, so you don't need to worry."
London looked down and sighed. She knew what the answer was gonna be since that was what he had been telling her the whole time. She wanted to be a part of the mission, obviously, but also paid attention to herself. "I know, I know. But I do want to help you. Besides, I'm still part of it, right?"
She looked up at him with a more hopeful look hoping that he would say yes. Sergio knew how when London wants something she usually gets it, thanks to her convincing skills, so he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Alright, fine."
London smiled and nodded before walking away from him and going down the ladder into the deep hole in the middle of the room. It was slightly lit as the crew worked and tried to get to the other side.
London picked up another pickaxe from the ground and moved to the front to help the men. She knew she probably wasn't supposed to be doing exactly what she was doing right now, but that didn't phase her at all.

Around 30 minutes passed and they were all still working. But, to check on the progress, The Professor came down the ladder and walked over to London. She was still working without a single second of a break and wasn't going to stop. "Hey, how's it going over here?"
London quickly turned around and back. "Better, if that's what you're asking." The Professor decided to help her and picked up another pickaxe from the ground. He began digging with her as they exchanged some happy looks.
A few minutes passed by and London noticed that a small hole was forming in the wall. Her mouth went wide open as she could physically feel Tokyo's digging from the other side. "Tokyo?" She began digging even more as Tokyo noticed London through the gap.
"London!" She laughed as The Professor began to dig a much bigger hole as they held hands between the gap and started to shed joyful tears. "You're okay." Tokyo managed to say to her.
"Of course I'm okay." London sniffled as she laughed at Tokyo's first sentence to her. The two couldn't be happier seeing each other safe and alive. Well, maybe not entirely safe, but safe enough to interlock each other's fingers.
The Professor chuckled at the sight of that and started digging even a bigger hole. But the two were so happy that they just couldn't let go of each other. It felt as if months have passed even though it wasn't like that at all.

The Professor and London stood outside next to the monitors as they waited for everyone to come. But when Tokyo was the first one to get outside and climb the ladder, it didn't take long for London to go rushing to her for a huge hug.
Tokyo engulfed the young woman in the biggest and best hug possible as the two began to cry out of joy once again. Soon enough, everyone else started coming up. The Professor hugged Helsinki as Denver with Monica came up and saw London.
"London, you're here!" Denver took London and spun her around as she laughed. He hugged her even tighter than Tokyo as he was the happiest he has ever been to see anyone in his life. London hugged him back and let the tears drip on his jumpsuit.
Right after that, Nairobi came up and saw the whole thing unravel. She laughed and covered her mouth as she saw London. "London!" London turned around and gasped as she saw Nairobi standing right in front of her.
She ran into the hug as the two also embraced each other. "God, I missed you all so so much." London chuckled as tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. I think you can only imagine what kind of happiness filled everyone at that moment.
The Professor also hugged each and every one of them as he became even happier than London, probably, at that moment. He was extremely relieved to see everyone (mostly) back safe and sound.
But after the hugs were over, London noticed that Berlin wasn't with them. He was the one she waited most for and couldn't sleep at night of how she waited for him all this time. She desperately looked around but couldn't find him. "Um, hey, where's Berlin?"
Everyone went quiet and looked at London with apologetic looks. They knew their relationship and had no idea how to break the news to her. Telling a person that their lover just died because he sacrificed himself for others seemed unimaginable to share.
"London, um..." Denver walked over to her with his head down trying to collect the words for the best sentences. But when London saw Denver's reaction, she knew something bad was coming up. "...Berlin...he...he stayed there."
London's eyes started to water as she couldn't believe her ears. Except, this time the tears were not happy, but rather sad. "No...you're lying." She said as her voice quivered. Sergio, listening to this whole ordeal, could not believe it too.
"You're lying!" London yelled as she ran past him and towards the tunnel. But before she could reach it, Rio stopped her and caught her in his hands. London tried to move out and get out of his catch but without use. "Rio, let me go!"
"London, calm down-" Rio tried to hold her still so that she could stop moving but she wouldn't even stop crying and sobbing.
"No, he promised me he would come back alive!" She recalled the day they made their promise to one another. "We-we made a deal and he said he would keep it!" She hit Rio and tried to get past him, but eventually gave up and collapsed on the floor sobbing. She buried her face in her hands as she whimpered and sobbed on the cold and dirty floor.
Rio hugged her as she gasped for air. She couldn't bear the thought of him not coming back. She imagined they would share a bunch of more memories but hearing the news broke her mentally...and physically.
Everyone watched London cry her heart out not letting her hold anything back. They couldn't imagine the shock and pain she was going through and didn't want to intervene or make it worse.
The memories flashed in London's mind, every second they spent together. From Toledo meeting each other for the first time to The Royal Mint. She just refused to believe that he was gone. Once and for all. She hugged Rio around his hands and let her tears wet his red jumpsuit as she whispered the same phrase over and over again. "You promised me, Berlin...you promised..."
