"Get down, get down!" Denver shouted as they all ducked down and ran out of the huge hall and into the small rooms around it.
Denver and Stockholm were together when Berlin and London were hiding too since this was the first actual shootout at the Royal Mint since the heists' start. Turns out, the police found their way in somehow and began opening fire.
London tried to catch her breath as she and Berlin stood behind a wall with their guns tightly held in their hands. It had been around 2 days since they took everyone hostage and things were getting pretty ugly.
"Feeling good, love?" Berlin laughed as London tried to look at what was happening behind them without being seen or shot.
"Yeah, perfect." Even though this was London's first shootout ever, she was feeling amazing: the adrenaline running through her veins, the intense stress in her head. She loved it.
It was giving her severe anxiety, but it pumped her up for this. Everyone else was scattered around the building trying to hideaway.
"You sure you're gonna handle all this?" Berlin asked. He wasn't the type that would be overprotective over someone but this time, it was getting intense so he didn't want for anything to go wrong for her.
London didn't have a lot of experience, to say the least. But she was so determined to be a part of this, she didn't care. What mattered to her was being a part of this.
She turned to him with a smile. "I'm sure I can." She chuckled. "Plus, there isn't anything that we didn't learn. I'll be fine." Berlin knew he could and should trust her, but he just couldn't bear the thought of her getting hurt in any way.
They have been together almost right from the start of the planning of the heist. They tried to keep their relationship hidden, but, eventually, it came out and everyone found out.
Then, from the other side of the room, from the hallway, came Stockholm and Denver running in. Berlin and London immediately turned to them.
"Listen, someone needs to go out there and distract the police while the others run to the stairs. Can someone do that?" Denver said as he looked around.
No one really wanted to go out and risk their lives, since the chances were extremely low. The police were on every corner and with loaded guns. But London wanted to do the job that she actually came here to do.
"I'll do it." She said after a small silence. Everyone turned to her with surprise and startlement. The fact that they were scared to go and a woman younger than them wanted to, was unreal and made them feel bad about themselves.
"What? Are you sure?" Stockholm came over to the young woman with a worried look.
But the most worried out of everyone was Berlin. He, of course, didn't show it since that wasn't entirely possible for him. But deep down, he was just so scared for London, he would have gone there by himself.
He looked around at the three of them thinking what to say to stop her from going in. But everyone knew that talking London out of something was harder than it seemed.
"London, you should let someone else do it." Denver insisted. "I don't think that you can-"
"Listen..." London almost immediately cut him off. "...I came here to do what I have to do. My duty and work are this. So if I need to, I'll go."
Denver and Stockholm exchanged some looks before London nodded and turned around. She was about to walk out but Berlin caught her hand and stopped her from moving any further.
"London, let me do it." He said with his voice almost quivering.
London sighed and stared at his eyes. She knew she loved him and he loved her. But something more important than love to her was doing everything she could and living her life to the fullest. She wanted to do this and knew that even if she died like this, she would die as a hero.
But knowing that this might be the last time she sees him, she stepped on her tippy toes and kissed Berlin on the cheek. She stood back down and smiled. "It was nice knowing you, Berlin. Don't wait up."
And just like that, London ran out and straight into chaos. Berlin called her name but it was useless. Just as London walked outside, bullets struck the air. She was able to shoot at a lot of them, but she didn't leave so easily.
Denver and Stockholm ran out of the room and started shooting everyone else helping London. But Berlin stayed back in utter shock. He felt bad that he let her go and wanted to do something to help her, but he was just frozen there.
Just as she was about to run to safety, bullets struck her body like it was nothing. Berlin shouted her name, but the young woman fell to the ground, but not without striking everyone else one more time.
She was about to finish it, but when a bullet hit her right in the right lung area, she fell down to the ground. In a split second, Berlin ran out of the room and straight to her side as Denver and Stockholm watched in horror.
Berlin shot at everyone with the biggest rage inside ever as he picked her lifeless body from the ground and carried it. Denver and Stockholm ran right over to him as Denver shouted into the walkie-talkie for backup.
"London has been shot! I repeat: London is injured! Someone bring the first-aid kit to us immediately!"
Berlin placed her on the ground at the same place they were before they ran out. "No, no, London, no, no, no." Then he turned to the other two. "Get her help now!"
London was bleeding extremely bad and it looked like she had no utter chance of survival. Seeing his love for Berlin was so scary, it was the first time his lover was dying in his hands.
Stockholm sat next to her and began to inspect the wounds. "We already called for help, they're on their way."
But Berlin just didn't have the strength inside to watch her suffer. London was still alive and a little bit conscious but they were quickly losing her.
Then out from the room that Denver and Stockholm came, Tokyo, Rio, and Nairobi came running in.
"Oh, my god..." Nairobi covered her mouth from the state she saw the woman was. It looked as if they had minutes to save her.
"What happened?" Tokyo asked as she began to take out the things from the first-aid kit. "How did she get so many gunshot wounds? There's no way that we can help her here."
Berlin got even more frustrated at Tokyo's comments. He picked up London from the ground with his hands and held her bridal-style with his hands shaking like leaves. "Then let's get her to the operation room, now!"

"Will she be ok?" Rio asked as Stockholm stitched up her final gunshot wound. The woman was in serious critical condition and her chance of living the life she lived before was lower than 0.
Everyone was right at her bedside as the unconscious woman laid. She had no idea how much everyone was concerned and how much commotion her injury caused. This was the first serious injury at the Royal Mint and they were scared as hell.
"It's too early to tell." Stockholm replied. "She will survive, but she won't be able to do most of the things she did before...we might have to think of sending her off back to The Professor."
Berlin snapped out of his gaze and stood up from his chair. "Are you insane? She's not going back, she's staying here with us."
"Yes, but if she stays in this condition, there's a high chance that she will get even more injured." Tokyo interfered. "It's safer for her to be with him."
"We came here all together and we will leave all together." Berlin protested. "She almost died saving us all and we won't do that to her."
Tokyo and Berlin glared at one another with the biggest anger in their eyes. "Listen, Berlin, we need to do what's best for her and if you really want to help her, you'll do it."
Berlin didn't want to admit it but knew that Tokyo was right. It was much more secure for London to go out of the Royal Mint. She was in no condition to be fighting back and could only cause her to get hurt more.
"I'll go." London's soft voice was heard. Everyone turned around with gasps to see her all awake and alive. Berlin passed everyone and straight to her side.
"London..." He took her hand in his as he bent down. London chuckled and smiled at him.
"Guess that wasn't the last time I was gonna see your face, huh?" But Berlin didn't even care about that. He chuckled with relief as everyone else curled together by her side.
London touched his face with her hand. His cheek was cold as ice but his face showed relief and happiness which London was happy to see. Berlin touched her hand that was on his face and kissed it.
"How are you feeling, London?" Stockholm asked.
London looked at her with a smile. "Well, besides getting shot with near-death bullets and sustaining multiple injuries which should have cost my life, I feel brilliant."
