Inayat sat in the chair in her air conditioned room, putting a chip in her mouth as she started at the TV. She was flicking through the channels, there really wasn't anything interesting to see at all.
Annoyed that even there weren't any good movies on today, she stopped at a News Channel as she saw Sahej's face. She mentally smiled to herself, they were probably talking about Rule Breakers and Street Dancer's union.
But what the reporter said made her heart drop.
"Reportedly, Sahej Singh, the handsome hunk from Street Dancer's, who hadn't failed to take our heart, has been through an accident. We have got this information from some of his fellow dancers but they refused to let us know any more," the lady reporter said.
Inayat immediately sat up straight. Was this lady out of her mind? There was no way Sahej was hurt . . . Right? He is fine, right?
She rummaged through the bedsheets for her phone and found it behind her pillow. With trembling fingers, she dialled Sahej's number, but he didn't pick up. Inayat was growing more and more tense. She closed her eyes for a second, took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. After opening her eyes again, she this time dialled Poddy's number.
When he too didn't pick up, Inayat started growing desperate. She immediately called Sushi and thankfully, he picked up.
"Sushi? Hey, um, what's going on? Sahej is with you right? I just saw a news in the TV saying he's got into an accident, but that's not true, right? I know it isn't, I'm sure it isn't. He can't be hurt, Sahej can't me hurt . . ." She kept mumbling, something she did when she was nervous, which happened very rarely.
"Inayat, uh, I don't know how to tell you this but . . . What the reporter said is true," Sushi said and Inayat's heart stopped beating for a moment.
"Oh my God! Where is he? Where are you guys? Is he alright? Did he get hurt?" Inayat bombarded him with questions.
"He's in the Hospital, we're with him. If you wanna come, I'll text you the adress. And, um, I won't lie to you, but he isn't doing that great. I don't really know what going on and the doctors aren't saying anything either, but I don't think he's fine, he's wearing an oxygen mask and all."
Sushi was hesitant to tell Inayat of the details. It was no secret that both Inayat and Sahej had feelings for each other, although none of them said it out loud. Sushi knew the amount of feelings Inayat had for Sahej, and he understood how she must be feeling after hearing all these.
"Gosh! Why didn't any of you guys tell me? Anyways, yeah, text me the address and I'll be there," Inayat said on the phone and immediately prayed that nothing happens to her Sahej.
Once Sushi texted her the adress of the Hospital, she left right that instant. Inayat was wearing a loose pink hoodie, a pair of light blue jeans that was ripped at the knees. Her hair was left open and was messy, but she didn't bother combing it, there were more important matters in her mind. She also had no makeup on, but her hazel dark-line eyes made her look pretty, and also her naturally pink lips.
She took a cab to the hospital and once the car stopped, she immediately ran inside. There, she saw Poddy, D and the others sitting by the chairs.
"Guys, what's going on?!" She asked as she huffed.
"Inu, I don't know how to tell you . . . But . . ."
Sushi didn't have to say more. Inayat's world collapsed right at that moment, listening to those words. She lost him. He wasn't going to be with her again, he wasn't going to fight her, he wasn't going to tease her ever again. She would never find him by her side again.
At that moment, she realized, she needed him. She needed him to live. He was her lifeline, but she couldn't do anything now.
It hurt that she couldn't even see him one last time. She couldn't be there for him when he was hurt. She couldn't stay with him. And she hated herself for that.
"He died," Inayat stated, with a blank look on her face, and the boys exchanged looks.
"I'm so sorry Inu. I understand how you must feel-"
"No! You don't understand! You won't ever understand because you never lost your first love!" Inayat snapped, and she couldn't help herself. She tried her best to stop the tears falling from her eyes but she couldn't. She was breaking down.
"I loved him. I loved him so damn much! But I couldn't tell him. I couldn't and I feel so useless. I couldn't tell him how much he meant to be, I couldn't tell him about the things he made me feel. I couldn't do anything!"
"We're here for you Inayat," Poddy spoke. "Listen, would you come home with me? Sahej left something for you."
Inayat looked up with her tear brimmed eyes and after a pause, nodded. She wiped her tears and stood up, composing herself.
Poddy drove them back to his house and said, "I won't go in. He left it for you in a velvet box under his bed."
Inayat went in. She was feeling a great amount of emotions rushing inside of her. Her first love was dead. She still couldn't believe it. She reached his room and turned the knob. Reaching in, she knelt down to her knee, and reached out under his bed and after a minute, felt a box. She pulled it out.
The box was labelled as "101 Things I Have Wanted To Say".
She opened it and found a pile of little papers inside. And before them, a A4 sized one, which looked like a letter. She immediately opened it and read it.
Dear Inu,
If you're receiving this box and this letter, it means I'm gone. Hopefully I have confessed my feelings to you, and hopefully we were together, we spent lots of time together while I was alive. But if that's not the case, this box will come handy.
This box includes everything that I feel about you. My feelings, my likes about you, what you do to me, everything. I wouldn't give in everything in this letter itself, but just wanted to let you know.
You've always been there for me and I didn't know how else to tell you everything, since I'm not really good and complimenting and stuff. But these small chits will say it all.
Maybe read one chit a day? That'll make them last a long time. And I want you to become impatient to know about my feels for you too ;)
Just remember, I might not be with you at this moment, but I'm yours. Only yours.
Your lover,
Sahej.
Inayat had to wipe away a bit of tears by the end of the letter. She didn't know what to feel anymore - sad that he was gone or happy that he loved her too?
Letting go of these, she took out the first chit and read it out loud.
"You make me happy, you make me smile every time I'm around you. It's like you have a kind of magic that every time I look at your beautiful face, I start grinning for no apparent reason."
Inayat smiled to herself. Every time they'd meet, every second Sahej would keep smiling, but she never stopped to think it might be because of her. He's smile was what made her fall head over heels for him though.
As Sahej said, one chit a day. So she put the chit at the far end and closed the box. She sure was curious as to what else Sahej had written for her. She stood up and took the box in her hand, and made her way outside the room.
"He confessed then?" Poddy, who was standing by the door, asked. Inayat nodded, a small smile appearing on her face.
"Inayat, you'll get through this. We're with you, okay? And Sahej, he'll always be with you too. He loved you till his last breath and he will be only yours," Poddy said and Inayat nodded, smiling.
From that day onwards, the moment Inayat woke up, she would reach out for the box and read the next chit. And while going to sleep, she would look forward for the next one. After she finished all of them, she re-read them again and again. Sahej's messages gave her a different feeling, something she never wanted to lose.
She had realized one thing. She understood what true love was. And Sahej was hers. He was her first and true love. And she knew she was his too, by the way he spoke about her. They belonged to each other, and it would stay that way.

A/N - Hello everyone!
It's been about time I updated this book, so I decided to go for this now. I'm also planning to end this soon, just one or two more shots to go.
Anyways, Sahej & Inayat supremacy!
Hate To Love has a separate fanbase and I think SD3 made Varshraians believe in it more.
I don't really have much to say about SD3, because I was kinda disappointed in the movie. Like it had more VarunβNora screen space and cute moments together instead of Varshra which made me really sad because they were supposed to be the main couple. And + they were left off as friends, I mean, at least ABCD2 confirmed Suru and Vinnie's feelings for each other, SD3 didn't do that either.
Also I've been thinking, when we say Varshraians, it's so off. Like just saying. Shouldn't we think of a cooler name? + It's so hard to pronounce. Even Varians are a nice fandom name!
Maybe Varshraniacs? Or Varshra Gems?
Which one do you like more?
Also, I killed Sahej off on this one π β€οΈ Don't kill me for that guys!
#inahejforever
Till then,
Signing off with style,
Mrs. Kartik Aaryan,
Aisha Kapoor! π«β€οΈ
