Yuna's visits to Sol's house had become increasingly frequent since she began to recover. Occasionally, Yuna would also watch the kids while Sol and Godfrey got away for a few hours. When Yuna came over to Sol's home, Taesoo ran towards her with open arms. Seeing the small boy brought a smile to her face. She picked him up and groaned, "You're getting so big, Taesoo!" She brought him into a hug and let him back down. "I won't be able to carry you anymore if you keep growing so much."
She walked over to Godfrey and Myah who were playing in the playpen they had created in the middle of the living room. "Hey, Godfrey. How are the preparations going?" Yuna asked, referring to his upcoming wedding. Their other baby toddle was lying on a small rocker asleep.
"Great, almost everything is finalized. But Sol is still having a hard time picking a dress. Multiple designers sent her dresses and she's feeling the pressure to pick one," he explained.
"Knowing Sol, she'll end up wearing all of them," Yuna and Godfrey laughed.
"She said that she didn't want to upset anyone if she didn't choose to wear their dress for the ceremony," Godfrey said. He loved his woman, but she didn't need to please anyone for her wedding. It was a day about the couple and no one else. Sometimes she was just too nice for her own good.
Taesoo then walked up to Yuna, tugging at the sleeve of her sweater. "Imo, come look at my new airplane that my Oji got me." Sol's brother, Siu, had been making more frequent visits to Korea and would always have a gift for the kids when he dropped by.
"Okay, let's go see it." Taesoo ran towards his room while Yuna followed closely behind. "Wait for your Imo," she said. He opened the door to his room and stretched out his small arm to reach for the light switch. After turning on the lights, he walked over to the airplane he had built. It was quite large and was very detailed. She praised Taesoo for his creation. Taesoo passionately ranted about the model of the airplane and its facts. Taesoo wasn't an extremely extroverted kid, but he would come out of his shell when it came to talking about topics, he was passionate about. Seeing his eyes light up while concentrating on the airplane was too adorable. He was full of aegyo.
But their conversation was cut short when Godfrey walked in to retrieve Taesoo. "Your Appa's here to pick you up. Go grab the toys you wanted to bring," Godfrey notified.
Taesoo squealed and slammed his body on the bed to reach for his small bag full of toys. Usually in situations like these, the child of separated parents would pack a bag of clothes, but Taesoo didn't need to do that. He had two of everything in each house. So, in the house of his father, he had his own room with a closet full of clothes.
The three left the toddler's room. When walking into the living room, Taehyung is holding the youngest daughter in his arms and cooing at the baby. When Yuna and Taehyung saw each other, they each said hi with a friendly smile. It was the first time seeing him or anyone else close to Jungkook since their fight. She wondered if he knew about it, if Jungkook told him.
Godfrey walked up to Taehyung to take his daughter from him so he could depart with Taesoo. Since his enlistment, Taehyung had been taking Taesoo as much as he could, fearing that his military service would interfere with their relationship since Taesoo was so young. Before handing over the baby, he gave the girl a small kiss on her forehead which she giggled at. Observing the two men, Yuna became astonished at how healthy their relationship is as co-parents. For years, Taehyung was in love with Sol, and it took a really long time to get over her. So, Yuna thought that when Godfrey started dating Sol, the two men would not get along. But surprisingly, they had become friends in sorts. Taehyung was one of the first people that Sol and Godfrey introduced to Myah after she was born. For family events, Taehyung would always be invited. Yuna didn't how they did it. She doubts that Godfrey wasn't at least a little jealous or cautious to have his fiancรฉ's ex around all the time and Taehyung didn't still love Sol just a little bit.
Taehyung grabbed Taesoo's bag and began to head out. But before they left, Taesoo ran to say goodbye to his family. He hugged Myah tightly and kissed her cheek. With his baby sister, he hugged her more gently and kissed her on her forehead like his father did. And last but not least, he embraced Godfrey's legs because that was all he could reach at his height. Godfrey chuckled and bent down to give him a proper hug. "Have fun, alright?"
Taesoo nodded his head. "Bye, Baba," he waved and left with his father.
Yuna left for the art studio where Sol was waiting for her. From the hall, you could smell the paint coming from the room. She walked inside where Sol was in the middle of painting something. The two women were about to hug when Yuna noticed her paint-stained apron. Yuna immediately put on an apron and joined Sol. They sat side-by-side, each working on their own unique creations.
"I wanted to ask you something," Yuna began. "Of course, what is it?" Sol asked.
"I talked to Jisoo about this, but I wanted to talk about it more with you especially since you're close to everyone in Seventeen. After that argument with Jungkook earlier this week, It made me think a lot. I don't regret rejecting him. I was actually really happy because the end of our relationship meant that I could continue what I once had with Mingyu. But now I don't think so anymore," Yuna poured out her thoughts.
"Why not? You don't have anything holding you back."
"He doesn't know the relationship was fake. And now that Jungkook is actually heartbroken, I doubt he'll want to be with his best friend's ex. Jungkook still manages gets in the way of Mingyu and I being together even after this whole fake stunt."
"Just explain everything to him," Sol looked at Yuna as if she just solved her problem. It was quite simple for her. "I can't do that Sol, no one can know the relationship was fake. It can put you at risk."
"Yeah, it would if the guy was anyone else, but it's Mingyu. Everyone in the group knows about my kids, so it's not like he'll tell anyone. You're discrediting Mingyu's loyalty to our friendship. Me and him have been close friends since I moved to Korea." What Sol said was true, but it didn't make Yuna feel more confident in pursuing him. Thinking back to all of his qualities, loyalty was definitely one of his strongest characteristics.
"But it's not just that, it's also Jungkook. He ruined everything, and he's going to ruin any chance of us rekindling if he keeps acting heartbroken."
"To be fair, you were very harsh," Sol giggled thinking back to what the words Yuna yelled at him.
"I'm not harsh, if anything he's too sensitive."
Sol looked at Yuna with a sad smile. She kept getting unlucky with the guys she chooses and when she finally finds someone who won't trat her poorly, something manages to get in between them getting together. Sol feels like she was the main reason for this. Yuna never would've been in a fake relationship had it not been for Sol. "Yuna, I feel really sorry you had to go through all of this just because of me. I wish you didn't have to go through so much trouble."
"Stop it, you know I'll do anything for you. I just want all of this relationship trouble to be over. I'm 24 and eventually, I want to marry and have kids too. But I only attract horrible guys," Yuna moaned in frustration.
"Yuna, just talk it out with Mingyu. I swear that he'll understand if you talk to him. And afterwards if he doesn't want to be with you because of Jungkook, then it just means that he doesn't like you enough. But if there really is something there, he'll prioritize you over his friend whom you didn't even actually date."

After Yuna left Sol'd house, she sent Mingyu a text message asking if he could come over to her place and talk. She was nervous to hit send, but ultimately, she knew that this conversation needed to happen so they could both move on from the pr relationship and into a real one between the two of them. She got worried that he would say no or not even reply, but to her relief he agreed to come.
She was wearing Calvin Klein from head to toe. Yuna walked out to the balcony of her apartment and stared into the night view of Seoul. She thought about what she should bring up first and how she should do it. She wondered if there was another girl Mingyu had been seeing in the months they had been apart. She hoped not. As unrealistic as it sounded, she wanted him to wait for her.
At 9 p.m., the doorbell rang through the house. Hearing it made her heartrate speed up. She stretched out her finders as she reached for the doorknob. On the other side, Mingyu stood with his tall structure in a pair of jeans and a blue hoodie. Seeing each other again after a long time brought up feelings that had forgotten about. She let him in and sat on the couch together. Yuna's cat, Raza, jumped on his lap, cuddling into his body.
"So, have you talked to Jungkook yet?" She asked. She was hoping for a no so he could hear her side first.
"I have, he told me about what happened..."
"Okay," Yuna thought over how she could approach this best. "For the past few months, I've been going through a lot, and I thought that the end of the relationship between me and Jungkook would solve everything, but it has just left everything a mess."
"Yeah, it left him a mess," he added. "Seeing him cry over you was really uncomfortable."
"Mingyu, there was nothing he should've been crying over. He wasn't crying over the breakup, he was crying because I didn't like him back," she explained. Mingyu looked at her confused. What she just said wasn't making complete sense in his head.
"The relationship was all fake. We signed a contract to orchestrate a fake relationship and after our contract ended, he wanted to start dating for real, but I told him I didn't want to."
"What?"
Yuna told him everything. She told him about the fake dates, interactions, photoshoots, and all of that. But she didn't stop there. She wanted him to understand that the whole thing was transactional. They never had sex or even kissed, and she never even slightly thought of Jungkook romantically.
"I talked to Sol about this, and she told me that I should tell you. And the only reason I'm doing this, is because I don't want to lose what we had and feel regretful over never finding out what we could've had." Yuna looked at him straight in his eyes the entire time to get his full reaction, to try and understand what he was feeling. Did he even believe her? Did he even still like her? She wouldn't blame him if he didn't, but she would feel embarrassed for pouring her heart out to him.
Mingyu looked down and gently played with Raza. Yuna felt more anxious over getting no reaction from him rather than a bad reaction.
"Mingyu, say something," she pleaded. He looked up, meeting her eyes. Instead of saying anything, he placed Raza to the side and unexpectedly hugged Yuna. She was surprised but did not hesitate to reciprocate the hug. He hid his face in the crook of her neck.
"It meant nothing?" he asked.
"Nothing, I swear." He pulled back from resting his face on her neck to bring her into a soft kiss.
He tilted his head, his eyes searching hers. "Yuna, I didn't want to push you, but I also don't want to lose you. And I guess I ended up doing both."
She smiled faintly, her eyes glistening. "I don't want to lose you either."
His lips curved into a soft smile, one that made her chest ache in the best way. "So, what do we do now?" He asks.
Yuna shifted closer to him, closing the gap between them. "We stop pretending. No PR, no games, no fears. Just us. If that's something you still want."
Mingyu didn't answer with words. Instead, he leaned in, his hand brushing her cheek as he tilted her face toward him. Yuna's breath hitched as their eyes locked, and then his lips were on hers. The kiss was slow and deliberate, like they were both savoring the moment they'd been waiting for all along.
Her hands found their way to his shoulders, pulling him closer as the kiss deepened. Mingyu's touch was firm yet gentle, his fingers tracing the curve of her jaw as if to reassure her that this was real.
When they finally pulled apart, Yuna let out a shaky laugh, her cheeks flushed.
"So," she murmured, "does this mean we're starting over?"
Mingyu grinned, his thumb brushing against her cheek. "No. This means we're picking up where we left off."
She couldn't help but smile as she looked into his eyes, filled with desire and love.
"I've missed you so much, Mingyu," she whispered, running her fingers through his messy black hair.
"I've missed you too, Yuna," he replied, his voice rough with emotion. Now they were making up for lost time on Yuna's living room couch.
Their lips met again, this time even more eagerly than before. Mingyu's tongue explored every inch of Yuna's mouth as she moaned softly against him. She could feel his big, strong hands roaming over her body, grabbing her firm ass and pulling her closer.
As they continued to kiss, Mingyu started to tug at her sweatpants. He backed up his hips so he could take them off while keeping his lips on hers.
He kissed his way down her neck, trailing soft kisses along her collarbone. Yuna let out a soft moan as he pushed up her hoodie to kiss her chest.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured against her skin.
Yuna felt a wave of pleasure wash over her as he started to nibble on her nipple over her bra, causing it to harden. She couldn't help but wriggle under him, wanting more.
"Mingyu, I need you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
He looked up at her, his eyes dark and intense. "Tell me what you need, baby," he growled.
Yuna took a deep breath, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement. She had never done anything like this before and last time she tried it, she didn't enjoy it, but she trusted Mingyu. "I need you to make me feel good," she said softly.
Mingyu smiled at her, his gaze never leaving hers. "I'll make sure you do," he promised.
He moved lower, kissing and licking his way down her stomach. Yuna let out a soft moan as she felt him nuzzle against her flat stomach, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine.
His hand found its way between her legs, and Yuna gasped as he teased her through her panties. She squirmed under him, wanting more contact.
"Take them off," she breathed, her voice shaky.
Mingyu smiled against her skin before pulling her panties down to her knees. He spread her legs wider, revealing her wetness to him. Yuna couldn't believe how turned on she was by his touch.
Mingyu looked up at Yuna, his eyes filled with desire. He smiled at her before leaning in to take her into his mouth. Yuna let out a soft moan as she felt his warm tongue teasing her clit. She arched her back, pushing herself closer to him. His fingers found their way inside her, massaging her gently. Yuna couldn't contain her moans as she felt herself getting closer to orgasm. She threaded her fingers through his hair, urging him to go faster.
As she neared her peak, Mingyu started sucking on her clit, sending waves of pleasure coursing through her body. "Mingyu, I'm going to cum!" she cried out, her hips bucking against his face. He didn't stop, instead, he increased his pace, his tongue flicking against her sensitive bud. Yuna's whole body tensed, and she screamed out in pleasure as her orgasm washed over her.
