Your mom eventually woke you up early. It was cold, and you felt like not moving inside your blanket. You are already as comfortable as it is, and leaving it would cause you to yearn for it more.

Your heavy eyelids forced themselves to open. Sighing, you look over to the nightstand right next to your bed. Your phone was still charging. Grabbing it, you checked the time.

6:45...

Today's the day... and you didn't even get to properly talk to Shigeo. Not even yesterday night. You were just so tired of running your own Visa and some other paper works at the mall, you didn't tell Ritsu about it because you feared that he might tell it to his older brother.

You personally want to tell Shigeo about it. But, is there enough time?

Your mother woke you up this early in the morning for one reason. And that is to get ready.

The clock is already turning 7. You tried estimating the time by yourself, and you guessed that your flight will leave at around 10 to 11 AM.

Hopefully, your precious little bean would be able to wake up early.

It's going to break your heart if you're not going to be able to say a proper goodbye.

And also tell him about the thing you promised Mizuki to tell him.

And that is you're allowing him to be your boyfriend from this on today and in the future.

You sighed as you forced your body to get out of the blanket. If you want to tell Shigeo all about it, then you better get yourself ready.

Ϋ΅

Shigeo sat in front of his study table as he stare at his phone right in front of him. He was waiting for a notification, more specifically your notification. Hopefully, you're already awake, he did wake up at exactly 7:35.

He had already planned this day for you and him. He just needed to know if you have any plans for today, and hopefully, he doesn't forget to ask about the 'Leaving Japan' thing.

The timid boy chatted you with a;

'Good Morning.'
'Do you have any plans for today? I want us to hang out and apologize for not seeing your messages to me yesterday,'

He didn't send anything further and just waited patiently for you to reply. He hasn't been waiting there long don't worry. However, he sighed, he doesn't know why, but the unknown feeling of dread was there.

Shigeo stood up from his seat as he was about to make his way downstairs to get some milk to drink, but he halt when he saw his phone go on and off- meaning a new notification has been received. He grabbed it, and just as expected, you replied to his messages.

βœ‰

(Y/n)-Chan

β†ͺ Hey, Shige, sorry I just replied now.
A lot of things came up and I'm really busy.
Can we hang out for a bit after lunch?

β†ͺ I want to tell you something.

Of course! I'm still sorry about last night.
But, don't worry! I'll make it up to you today!
Promise.

You stare at his reply as you bit your bottom lip. The guilt is eating your heart away and it certainly feels heavy and unbearable.

"(Y/n), say goodbye to your grandpa," Your mom said as she called out for you. She approached you, noticing that you seemed disturbed. And she already knew what it was. Holding you by your shoulder, you looked up at her seeing her with a worried look, "You haven't told Shigeo have you?" She asked.

Nodding at her words, she sighs, "You better tell him before we take our departure. I know it's hard, but you bought Shigeo a laptop and a new phone, you two can still talk," She said.

You looked at her as you huffed, "It's not the same... I want to... I want to graduate middle school with Shigeo and enter the same high school as him, mom..." You said.

Yui felt sad and heavy hearing her own daughter say this. The longing and the want to be with someone who she truly loves reminds her of herself when she was head over heels for Miyano- your father.

"I'm so sorry (Y/n), I wish I had the heart to leave you here all alone in japan..." She said which sounds muttered, but you heard it loud and clear.

Letting out a huff, you give her a forced smile, "It's okay, mom... I understand," You said whilst nodding.

"Thanks, hun. Just come back inside so you can say goodbye to your grandpa," She reminded and gives you a small yet sad smile. She knows that you were only forcing a smile, but she didn't want to bother you anymore about it.

You nodded at her, "Okay," You replied shortly.

Yui entered the mansion leaving you all alone with your thoughts.

Hopefully, this time, you get to properly talk to Shigeo without any trouble. You wanted to say goodbye to him in a pleasant way, and most importantly, telling that you're already allowing him to be your partner.

Hopefully.

The timid boy stared quietly at the flower shop across the road.

𝄑 Seasoning City(West) ; 11:33 AM

The girl that he adored the most just texted him 15 minutes ago that they should meet somewhere near the airport. Of course, it did bother the boy as he had come to the conclusion that you are really leaving.

It puts him in dread but he didn't want to ruin this day, there still may be some time to hang out with you. Maybe that's why you said that you two should meet up after lunch was maybe because your flight is going to depart tonight. Shigeo was hoping that it was the case.

And right now, he took a deep breath as he crossed the road to go towards the flower shop.

The bowl-cut boy purchased a single sunflower, just like his dad advised. He did notice that some of your stuff has a design for this specific flower.

Smiling to himself, the boy was about to exit the shop when someone followed him outside.

"Kid," Someone called out for his attention.

The boy turned around to see a silver-haired man whom he familiarized, "You are..."

"Here," Minegishi, the man's name, said as he handed him a bouquet of flowers. There were pink tulips, a huge sunflower in the middle, and some carnations as an add-up design.

"I-I should pay!" Shigeo said as he gladly hold the bouquet carefully.

Minegishi chuckled, "No need, just think of it as a payment of mine when you saved me that day," He said with a smile.

The timid boy couldn't help but smile at his words as he nodded, bowing, Shigeo spoke, "Thank you so much," He said.

"Don't mention it. Drop by next time and tell me what she thinks," Minegishi said as he turned around and walked away from the boy.

"I will!" Shigeo said as he watched the silver-haired man enter the shop again.

Shigeo smiled to himself as he continues to make his way toward the bus station. After all, the airport is far away from where he is right now. He wondered if the thing you want to say to him was about your leave here in japan, or was it something else?

The boy continued to think about it as he stopped in his tracks when he heard his phone vibrate.

It was your notification.

And it made him smile.

βœ‰

(Y/n)-Chan

β†ͺ Hey, Shige-chan! Me, Mom, and Yurio are waiting for you here <3!
We're at StarMob's, inside the national airport :)

β†ͺ Also, would like some almond tofu? Or some milkshake??

β†ͺ HEY SHIGEO-KUN, IT'S ME YURIO WWWWWW IS U N MY BB SISTER GOING ON A LAST MINUTE DAYE?!?!?

β†ͺ *DATE

Okay, I'm on my way :).

You don't need to order anything for me, (Y/n)-chan.

You've already treated me enough.

Please, wait for me :D.
I bought you a gift.

Hello, Yurio-san.

β†ͺ [(Y/n)-chan sent a voice message.]

βœ‰

The boy was a bit confused when you sent a voice message, but either way, he played it.

"Yurio! Give me back my phone!"

"Hello, Shigeo-Kun, my little sister loves you so much she doesn't want to leave--"

"MOM! YURIO'S BEING ANNOYING!!"

"Yurio, give her back her phone!"

"Awe, come on, mom, you're no fun!"

There was shifting in the background. It seemed that Yurio had given you back your own phone.

"Why is-- ugh. I'm so sorry Shige-chan, Yurio's being annoying and snatched my phone. Anyways, I'll be waiting for you here!"

And that was the end of the voice message. The boy couldn't help but chuckle quietly. Putting back his phone inside his pocket, he focuses his attention on the road. He was watching the cars move from left to right, and he hoped that the lights will turn green so he can continue moving.

A stray cat caught his attention. He watched its every move.

And his heart dropped when he saw it cross the road. There was an overspeeding vehicle about to run over to the cat, but the boy immediately used his abilities to stop the four wheels of the car. Many people across the street were surprised and shocked.

But at least it's all okay now. No one was hurt, especially the cat.

The boy sighs in relief as he watched the feline run away to safety and from the road. The light blink indicating that it's the right time to cross the pedestrian lane. Shigeo smiled to himself as he held the bouquet close to him.

The kid right next to him walks without paying attention to the road. The little child was fixated on the console he was holding.

It was overspeeding.

.

.

The breaks seemed to fail to work.

.

.

And there were people crossing the road.

.

.

Immediately noticing, Shige pushed the boy out of the way.

He took the kid's place to get hit by the vehicle...

The impact was so powerful that it managed to knock out the flower that the boy was holding securely. The front face of the car was smashed so hard that you think it hit a tree.

"Oh my god! Someone call an ambulance!" A lady shouted.

The driver of the said vehicle slowly got out. His breath hitched when he saw the young boy's state.

"Christ... I hit a kid..." The careless driver said as he stared at the boy that was lying unconsciously on the ground.

What's worse is... there was a pool of blood from his head.

"Shit... I'm going to jail if this kid dies..." He shakily mumbled as he quickly grabbed his phone from his pocket in an attempt of calling the emergency number.

But his mobile phone glitched out as it turned off by itself.

"What?" He said confused.

"Hey... is the ground shaking...?"

Ϋ΅

𝄑 Seasoning City National Airport(East) ; 12:36 NN.

"Hey, I just went to the counter to ask for some info, and they said that our flight will be in the next hour," Yurio said in serious matter as he took a seat beside his little sister.

"W-What-?! Why?" You asked in disbelief.

"Staff said that there's some crazy shit happening on the other side of the city. And all flights that are leaving today need to leave an hour before it's the original departure." He explained.

Yui looked over at you with a worried look, "We still have 30 minutes to wait for Shigeo-Kun, (Y/n)," She said in a soft tone.

You took a deep breath as you huffed, "I-I'll call him," You said as you grabbed your phone from your shoulder pursed, and immediately dialed Shigeo's number.

"This number is unavailable or out of the coverage area, please try again later-"

Clicking your tongue, you called his number again.

"This number is unavailable or out of the coverage area, please try aga-"

"No answer or signal." You said with an annoyed tone.

"Same here, can't even contact some of my friends," Yurio said as he stare at the signal bar on his phone.

"What is this 'crazy shit' that's happening?" Yui asked.

"They didn't get the full detail, but they said it's an earthquake? I'm not sure how fucked up it is because I can't contact my friends and gather some intel," He replied.

Your chest tightens as you took a deep breath.

'Where are you Shigeo?'

You thought as you stared at his number on your phone. He said he was on his way, so what if he got caught up in the catastrophe that was happening on the other side of the city? You just hoped that he was okay.

You just wanted to talk to him and tell him that you're already allowing him, so why does this has to happen?

You're already leaving in about an hour, and it's already 12:40. You're going to leave Japan without saying a proper and in-person goodbye to Shigeo? He's the only person you haven't personally said your goodbyes to!  Everyone else, they heard you say your goodbyes- they heard you say that you'll return-- IN PERSON!

And Shigeo's the only one that's not going to hear it?

That's...

"UNFAIR!" You angrily shouted.

"Unfair? What are you talking about?" Yui asked as she worriedly looked at you.

"I said goodbyes to everyone, Grandpa, Reigen, Mizuki, Ritsu, and his friends, my classmates, and the student council. AND SHIGE'S THE ONLY ONE I HAVEN'T PROPERLY SAID TO GOODBYE TO! And now, we're about to leave... I didn't even get to say a proper goodbye. I also wanted to tell him that I'm allowing him to be my boyfriend!" You outbursts.

Tears couldn't help but fall from your eyes. The frustration, the anger, and the sadness were too overwhelming that you couldn't help but break down. Yurio immediately stood up from his seat and pulled you in a hug, burying your face on his chest as he gently pats your head.

"Don't cry, I'm only doing this because we're in public, and it's a bit embarrassing to see you cry like this," He said, but that was a lie. He didn't want you to think that he was the sweet older brother, because you might take advantage of him once you know.

You sniffed as you broke away from his hug, "I want to stay!" You said.

"I can't," Yui said as she narrowed her gaze at you.

"Why not?" You asked, your voice almost rising as you wipe your tears away.

"(Y/n)-- we've been through this," Yui sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

You were about to reply to her words when suddenly, the announcement speaker in the lobby made a sound.

"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight [?] to Vancouver. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you."

Yurio looked back at you and your mom, "We only have 10 minutes. Is there any way to contact Shigeo? Mom, did you tell his parents that we're leaving? Maybe they can tell it to Shigeo on (Y/n)'s behalf," Yurio said with a serious tone.

"I did. I also reminded his mom to tell him if (Y/n) didn't get the chance to say it," She said.

"Why?" You asked as you rub your cheeks, trying to get rid of the heavy feeling.

"Just in case," She replied, she stood up from her seat and huffed, "You guys ready?" She asked, though, the tone in her voice doesn't seem excited.

"I'm gonna speed-run 6 years, watch me," Yurio said.

"I want to stay," You said quietly.

"You can still talk to Shigeo through video chat,  right?" Yurio said, trying to lift up her spirit.

". . ."

Yui sighed, "Let's go," She said.

You and Yurio walked side-by-side together as the two of you follow your mom. Your focus was somewhere--

'Shigeo... what happened?'
