[*]

"Oi, brat, did I already tell you that we're moving out of japan?" Yui said as she looks at you, pointing her chopsticks at you.

You looked at her in disbelief, "What?" You asked.

"Yeah, it's only temporary, just 5 years-"

"Mom! I can't leave Shigeo!" You suddenly said as you stood up from your seat, still having a disbelief expression on your face.

Yurio stayed quiet as he carefully use his other hand to use the chopsticks. Your older brother already had predicted your reaction to this, and if he's being honest, he had the same reaction earlier. He couldn't just leave his friends behind like that easily, let alone for 5 years. Yeah, Skype and video chat exist, but- the longing to be with your friends is different.

"(Y/n), it's only for 5 years, we'll come back as soon as it's over," Yui said as she continues to eat her meal.

"Can you leave me with any of my grandparents?" You asked.

"No, the old man is already bedded sick, and I can't trust you to his maids, they're strangers (Y/n), and I don't want to cause any trouble for my parents too. I can't leave you here in japan alone," She replied.

"H-How about you leave me with the Kagaya's?" You asked as you stutter, feeling a bit heavy as your heart clenched.

"Mizuki is living on his own, remember? His mom always goes back to the Philippines." She flatly said.

"Reigen?" You asked.

"(Y/n)... Reigen and I might be okay now, but I am not comfortable leaving you here all alone," She replied.

"But- Mom! I don't want to leave!" You whined.

"I know (Y/n), I know how much you want to stay here with Shigeo, but I can't leave you unattended! It's only for 5 years, please, bear with it..." She said as her tone becomes soft.

"Why do we even need to leave?" You asked, narrowing your eyes at your mom.

"It's for our family business (Y/n), and it's also for you and Yurio's future. Please, try to understand that I'm doing this for you and your brother. Once 5 years are done, we'll come back here as fast as possible!" Yui said as she gives a cheerful smile to you.

"5 years... is long, Mom," You said as your voice toned down as you stare at your food.

"I-I know, (Y/n)... I'm really sorry, but it's needed to be done." Your mom said.

You sigh as you walk away, "I'll eat my dinner later. Just needed to let some steam off," You said.

Yui sighed as she looked over at Yurio who surprisingly had kept his mouth shut during the conversation.

Noticing the frustration his mom was having, Yurio huffed, "Is there really no way to leave (Y/n) here in japan?" He asked.

"After what happened to you, I can't do it. I'm too traumatized. I can't leave her here all alone for 5 years straight," She said.

Yurio gently nod, "Understood."

"I just hope... she understands that what I'm doing is for you and her own future," She said as her words becomes whispers.

[*]

You huffed as you rub your arm from the cold. Tomorrow is going to be your last day in school since winter break is coming. Mizuki was planning on going to his grandparent's place during his time in Kumamoto, which is on the other side of Japan.

You were planning on spending some Christmas time with Shigeo, but knowing him, he'll be sure to put his family first before you. Not that you mind, but you were hoping on spending some time with him before...

Leaving.

You sigh as you got out of the gate and cross the road and stand in front of Mizuki's house. You can see his bedroom light open, and you can even hear him scream. He must be playing the new game that came out 5 days ago.

You decided not to disturb your best friend as you immediately got back inside your house.

And before going upstairs, your mom stopped you.

"Hey, kiddo," She greeted.

You looked at her with a blank expression, "Hm?" You hummed.

"I know that you don't want to be away from Shigeo, and I heard from your brother that the kid doesn't have that much technology, so how about tomorrow, after school, you take him to the mall and buy him a laptop, phone, computer, whatever he wants. Sounds good?" She said with a smile.

"Huh?" Was the only thing that came out of your mom.

"Are you having brain damage? I know 5 years is long, and I want to find a way to make you still talk to your little boyfriend, so that's my plan. Here," She said as she handed you a black metallic card. She huffed as she gives you a smile, "How about you treat Shigeo to some of your preferred electronics for him, hm? As a Christmas gift," She said.

"Mom... are you serious?" You asked.

"Yeah, now keep it before I change my mind. I'll be leaving tomorrow too early than usual. Better keep that card safe, okay? Now, I'm off to bed, good night, (Y/n)." She said as she pulled your head towards hers and give you a kiss on the forehead.

By what just happened, you couldn't help but smile.

[*]

Chilly...

You thought as you got out of the door of your house. Your lips curved up into a smile when you saw your favorite person. Shigeo.

"Good morning, Shige!" You greeted him with a smile as you wave at him.

He nodded and gave you a small smile, "Good morning to you too, (Y/n)-chan," He said.

You two walked side-by-side as usual. It was quiet, not that it was out of the ordinary, but you couldn't help to think about what your mom had told you last night. About leaving Japan.

"Hey, Shige," You called out to him.

The sweet boy right beside you hummed as he looked over in your direction.

"Are you free right after school?" You asked.

Shigeo nodded, "Yes, other than our short club activity, I'm free afterward. Why do you ask?" He asked.

"Heh, wanna go out on a date?" You asked as you grinned at him.

And the look on Shigeo's face was the most adorable thing you've seen today. His whole face turned red as he stuttered the word 'Eh?'. What a cutie.

"D-Date?!"

"Yes or no?" You asked.

Shigeo fiddled with the hem of his long sleeve as he looked down. His bangs covered his eyes, his vision was fixated on the ground.

"..yes.." It was a whisper.

"What was that, Shige-chan?" You asked with an innocent smile.

"I said... yes..." He quietly said.

You chuckled in response which made Shigeo blush even more.

[*]

Shigeo patiently waited near the gate of the school. Apparently, his club activity finished early than he expected, and (Y/n) is still in a student council room, having a meeting. His attention was fixated on the ground as he kicks the little pebbles beside his feet. His mind was running a million thoughts as a visible blush crept up on his cheeks.

Is this the first time he's going to have a real date?

I mean, yeah, they've been together on a date before but that one was in a friendly way- since Shigeo, at that time was still having difficulties figuring out if he loves you or not.

Shigeo unconsciously sighs. He looked up to see a certain someone smiling at him, standing right in front of him.

"Tsubomi-chan?" Shigeo said in a slightly confused tone.

"Hello, Mob," Tsubomi greeted as she smiled at him.

Shigeo's sweat drops as he sheepishly looked at her, "Uh... do you need... something?" He asked.

"No, nothing, I'm just wondering why you're standing here all alone," She said.

"Oh, is that all?" Shigeo asked.

Tsubomi nodded in response, her lips displaying a thin smile as she stares at the timid boy in front of him. Normally, Shigeo would turn beet red whenever Tsubomi had the chance to talk to him, but right now is different. It feels normal as if talking to Tome type of normal.

Shigeo decided to break the short silence by saying, "I'm waiting for (Y/n)," He said.

"Oh, why?" She asked.

"Uhm... why do you ask?" Shigeo asked, kind of getting nervous that she was suddenly questioning him a lot of questions.

Tsubomi giggled, "Oh, nothing, since you were waiting for (N/n)-chan, I was hoping that I could spend some time with her since it's winter break. Are you guys going to the mall? I heard from Kagaya-san that you two are going," She said, more on the tone of explaining it.

Shigeo was taken aback by her words. He was hoping that he'll get to spend some time with (Y/n) alone on their date, and now Tsubomi also wants to hang out with you. Shigeo fought with his thoughts about whether or not he should say it.

And it won.

With a red face, Shigeo stuttered with his words when he said; "(Y-Y/n)-chan and I are going on a d-date!" He blurted out as he felt embarrassed.

Tsubomi fluttered her eyes in surprise when she heard Shigeo's words. Giggling, the bubbly girl responded, "You could've just said so, Mob! Hehe, I can always ask her tomorrow if she's not busy," She paused as waved at him and slightly bowed, "Good luck on your date!" She enthusiastically said. Proceeding to walk away, Shigeo stared at her, still with a red face.

His heart was beating so fast. He couldn't believe that he actually said that he was going on a date with you!

"Shige-chan?" You called out to him as you slightly tilted your head to the side, the timid boy looked anxious as hell.

"(Y-Y/n)-chan!" He blurted out as he looked over in your direction. His face becomes redder.

You almost giggled at his reaction, he's so cuuuute!

"You okay?" You asked as you grin at him.

The shy boy frantically nodded at your words.

"So, I saw you talking to Bomi-chan... What did you two talk about?" You asked.

Shigeo looked at you as if he had already calmed down. He already knows what you instantly felt because of his interaction with Tsubomi based on your expression. The boy decided to be truthful to his answer, no matter how much he finds it embarrassing to admit it.

"I-I told her... that we're going on a date..." He quietly said as he averted your gaze.

You looked at him with an amused look on your face, "Really?" You asked.

Shigeo nodded quietly.

"Awwee~ Shige-chaaaan! You're too adorable!" You squealed making Shigeo blush even redder as steam came out on the top of his head.

[*]

You and Shigeo walked side by side together on the sidewalk as the two of you were already heading home.

The boy actually wanted to cry when you bought him all those expensive electronics. He was hugging the box of Acer Nitro Laptop protectively against his chest. His gaze was fixated on the ground as he felt the sudden immense guilt.

He doesn't know why you bought him all these expensive things. Especially when a computer set is going to get delivered to their doorstep the next morning. You told him that it was going to be your Christmas gift.

It was hard for him to say yes to all of these, so the best way to make him say yes were you saying that you were going to get mad at him and cry.

Which... surprisingly worked.

It was quiet, and you were staring at Shigeo who seemed to be still avoiding your gaze.

"Are you mad at me?" You suddenly asked.

The boy flinched in surprise as he looked at you, shaking his head no.

"Are you suuuure?" You asked.

Shigeo nodded, "Yes... It's just... this is too expensive to be my Christmas gift, (Y/n)-chan," He quietly said.

Your smile suddenly disappeared as you look up ahead, "You... deserve it, Shige-chan," You said.

Shigeo wanted to say something, but it seemed that the boy of you had already reached your own home. Smiling at Shigeo, you spoke, "Thanks for walking me home," You said.

Though, Shigeo was quiet.

He watched as you enter the gate of your house. But stopped immediately. Shigeo's eyes widened when he saw you running up towards him as he felt your soft lips on his cheeks, and before he could even compromise, you were already running towards the door of the house and quickly shut it close.

Leaving Shigeo with wide eyes as he was still trying to comprehend what had happened.

And when he did...

His stats went from 0 to 100.
