"Mob, it's time to go home," Reigen said to his disciple.

Shigeo looked up at his master to see him with a worried expression. He looked back at (Y/n) who just kept her head low. Looking back at Reigen, he spoke, "I'll stay for a little while with (Y/n)," He said.

"You should inform your parents first," Reigen suggested.

"My little brother already went home to tell them the news. I did ask him to tell them that I'll be staying here with (Y/n) and Mrs. (L/n)," He said.

With his reply, Reigen could only nod in response. Knowing that Shigeo lives in the same neighborhood as his niece, he somehow doesn't have to worry about him getting home late by himself.

"Alright," Reigen replied as he took a deep breath and sigh, "Take care of (Y/n) for me, okay?" He said as he gives a smile to the boy.

Shigeo nodded and smiled back at the man, "Got it," He replied.

"Okay, I need to go now. See you tomorrow, Mob," Reigen said as he waved at the boy.

"See you tomorrow, Master," Shigeo replied.

He watched as Reigen walked away and enters the elevator. Now, Shigeo was now left alone with the quiet (Y/n).

The spirit from earlier, known as Miyano was still there beside her. Not moving, and not saying anything. He's just staring at his daughter.

Shigeo respected his request even though his presence alone makes weaker spirits move away, so, the boy let down his guard so Miyano could stay as long as he wants.

He looks exactly like Yurio, except for the glass. He's the spitting image of him.

Shigeo watched as Miyano stood up quietly. He didn't say anything and just walked away, his form disappearing at the door he just walked in.

"I'm hungry..." The girl mumbled, making Shigeo look at her.

"Do you want to eat something at the nearest convenience store?" Shigeo asked.

"Yeah. But shouldn't you go home now, Shige-chan?" She asked, forcing a smile to give to Shigeo.

It was unusual for Shigeo to hear her this plain and tired. He's not used to it. He's always seeing the cheerful and enthusiastic (Y/n), so this was certainly new.

"I want to stay with you," He replied.

His words somehow caught the girl's attention as she looked at him. Giving her a smile, the girl somewhat felt relieved.

"Your parents won't get mad? Mom and I will stay here until midnight," She informed him.

"They won't," He said.

"If you say so," The girl replied shortly.

There was a silence that enveloped the two, but it wasn't that awkward. The silence is something both of them got used to.

"I'm really hungry... Let's go eat something, my treat," The girl said as she gives a small smile to Shigeo.

The boy nodded quietly as the two of them got up and used the elevator.

✧

Eating quietly outside of the convenience store, Shigeo made sure to stay close to you as he sat next to you, quietly eating the Onigiri she bought for him.

It took him a lot of time to accept that offer, to be honest.

"Thank you," The girl suddenly said out of nowhere.

Shigeo was taken aback by her sudden words as he was confused, "For what, (Y/n)?" He asked.

The girl huffed as she smiles, "For staying with me. Your presence alone made me feel better," She said, having a small smile on her lips as she continues to eat her food.

"I'm glad..." The boy replied, almost in a whisper. But it was loud and clear for her to hear.

The two continued to eat in silence. The mild sound of crickets accompany them at the quiet cold night, no cars or any type of vehicle that was driving on the roadβ€” it was pure silence.

And it helped the girl calm down.

It didn't take them long to get back inside the hospital since (Y/n)'s mother suddenly called, and she was worried sick looking for her.

The girl shivered, "Jeez, I didn't realize how cold it was..." She mumbled.

Shigeo's eyes fluttered as he used his psychic abilities to envelop her in a barrier that provides warmth. The girl's eyes widened in the process. She can clearly see the beautiful hue of Shigeo's psychic abilities.

She looked at him wide eyes, still not used to this whole psychic keme keme.

"You said you were cold," Shigeo said.

"Y-Yeah, but how about you?" The girl asked.

This is like one of those scenes in a movie where the boy gives his jacket to the cold girl. But the twist is rather odd and weird.

"I'm alright," He replied, giving the girl a closed eyes smile.

"Damn it, Shigeo... Stop being so adorable will you?" The girl whispered.

"D-Did you say something?" The boy timidly, yet nervously asked.

She laughed as she patted his shoulder, "Nothing~! Thank you," The girl once again thanked him.

"..." The boy was quiet, he bit his inner cheeks, feeling a bit embarrassed about what he was supposed to say.

But thinking about it. The boy took the courage as he spoke, "...Anything for you..." He said it. Almost a whisper.

This made (Y/n) blush, knowing damn well that she heard what he had said.

"Let's meet mom, she's probably worried about us now," She said as she offered him her hand to hold.

It was really cold since winter is just around the corner.

Shigeo slightly blushed as he stared at her hand. But it didn't take him a long time to gently accept her hand.

I like the warmth of her hand...

Shigeo smiled at his own thoughts.

✧

Shigeo waited patiently outside of Yurio's room. He doesn't want to enter inside and wants to give (Y/n) all the private time she wants. After all, she seemed to be not taking this accident well.

He didn't get to see the condition Yurio was in, but hearing how bad the accident was from Yui, he knows that Yurio is not going to recover soon.

"Hey, Kid,"

Shigeo snapped out of his thoughts as he looked in direction of where someone has called for him.

He saw the translucent figure of Miyano, smiling at him as the spirit waved.

"Hey," Miyano greeted.

"Uhm... Hello Miyano-san," Shigeo quietly greeted the spirit.

Miyano then took a seat beside him as he sigh, "I really don't like seeing my two girls this sad," He said as he looked over to Shigeo, giving him a smile.

"So, you're the boy that (Y/n) loves so much?" Miyano asked.

Shigeo slightly blushed at his words, but he nodded in response.

"You better take care of her, okay? I don't like seeing her cry because of you," Miyano said as he looked at the ground, "It would really hurt me if I see her crying again. It doesn't fit my little girl," He said with a smile. Looking back at Shigeo, he spoke once again, "I trust you not to hurt her feelings, m'kay?" He said.

His smile is similar to (Y/n)-chan.

Shigeo thought.

Nodding at his words, Shigeo spoke, "I will try everything in my power not to break her heart again," He said.

"Oh? So you already did break her heart?" Miyano said, still wearing the same smile as earlier.

"Yes," The boy honestly answered.

"That's inevitable. Just make sure not to do it again," Miyano said quietly.

I promise...
