SYNOPSIS!

AURELIA QUINN was someone with a gift. Well, two if we're being technical. The gift made Aurelia easily overwhelmed. The blonde girl couldn't control her gifts at all, and it terrified her to no end. Aurelai Quinn was a girl that cared for everyone and everything, she had a kind heart like that. She always had a smile on her face, and she wasn't afraid to help someone out whenever she was needed.

Aurelia remembered her family, but she knew of nothing that happened to them. She remembered their faces, she remembered their names, but she couldn't remember any memories of them. She knew she had a sister, she knew that she had parents that had sent her away―︎or at least, that's what she was told―︎and because she didn't know the details, it made her feel like she had been unwanted as a child. And so, she took comfort in the fact that Charles Xavier took her away from the orphanage she was placed in, and practically raised her.

Aurelia's gift was complicated, in her opinion.  She contained something called vibrokinesis. It was the gift that allowed her to control vibrations. But it was hard. She couldn't concentrate. She wore a bracelet on her wrist that contained the vibrations, but when she would take it off, she would become so close before losing control again. And it scared her.  She would fall apart, crying as she tried to control it, but no matter how hard she tried, she never could.

Scott had saved the girl multiple times, and he was one of the only people that Aurelia had truly cried in front of. It was known that she was the happiest girl to walk the school, but that wasn't true. Aurelia was struggling a lot more than people realized, and that's where Jean Grey came in. The red haired woman had her own struggles. And she could see through the smile that Aurelia managed to place on her face.

The redhead girl had always watched Aurelia from afar. She admired the blonde who smiled at everyone she saw, giving a compliment here and there if she was in a really good mood. Jean hadn't at all expected for Aurelia to waltz up to her with a wide smile, somehow managing to rope Jean into Scott and Aurelia's little group of misfits―︎as Aurelia liked to call it, the band of uncontrollable misfits. At first, Jean had aspired to be as kind and as welcoming as the blonde girl was. Wishing that people weren't afraid of her and instead admired her like they did Aurelia. But when she had grown close with the blonde, that's when she could really see it.

Aurelia put on a happy façade that was mostly real up to a certain point. But like everyone, Aurelia struggled. The blonde girl got so tired, trying to be there for everyone, trying to keep everyone happy, when she herself wasn't. That's what Jean was there for. The woman cared deeply about Aurelia, she just didn't realize how deeply she cared until her first date with the blonde was going to a bookstore in order to find Aurelia something new to read.

The two were happy. And they lived in the moment, smiling and laughing, with Scott tagging along on the occasion with nothing better to do. And they were glad that they lived in the moment, because the danger ahead was something that none of them would be prepared for. Promises were made in the dark, not knowing the dark and dangerous future that was ahead of them.
