Everyone's expressions were totally in shock.

Keifer - Seriously? You aren't playing,are you?

Ashlyn - Ofcourse,what good would I get from lying?

Felix - Eman,you can't be doing this.

Ashlyn - He didn't do anything! We are just friends...you know sometimes friends flirt too.

Eman - True,it was just friendly flirting.

He said even though he was shocked learning about the fact that Ashlyn is Percys sister.

Felix - Are you sure? It doesn't look like it.

Ashlyn - Yes! Just friends,okay?

Felix nodded.

Felix - I would like to hear the same thing from Eman too.

Eman - Huh?...yeah,we are just friends.

Felix - Okay.

Ashlyn - I am going out...Jay-Jay is alone.

Few nodded their heads while others were probably not even hearing.
I went out,Jay-Jay was out resting her head onto the table.

Ashlyn - What? Are you sleeping?

She lifted her head.

Jay-Jay - No! I am just so bored.

I laughed.

Jay-Jay - What were you speaking with him? Were they bullying you?

Ashlyn - No way! He is my online friend and he wanted to speak to me...that's it.

Jay-Jay gave me an 'O'.

On the other side.

Felix - Guys,you remember it...right? We promised him to protect her not to court her.

They nodded their heads.

Felix - Eman,are you or were you going to court Ash?

Eman - No! I genuinely don't have such feelings for her.

Edrix - Are you sure,man? You seemed so close to her.

Eman nodded his head.

Eman - Ofcourse,just friends.

Ci-N - But doesn't she study in Germany? That's what you told us.

He asked Felix.

Felix - Yeah,she was.I don't know why she's here.

Denzel - Isn't she younger than Percy? Why's she in the same class as us?

Felix - She joined the kindergarten with Percy a year before than she should be.

Everyone was just silent cause they didn't know what else they could be speaking.
The two girls entered the class directing all their attention towards them.
Mrs Asunta followed them.

Mrs Asunta - You guys know that you can request for an section exchange,right?

Both of them nodded.

Jay-Jay - I'll think about it.

Ashlyn - I'll give it a thought.

With that Mrs Asunta left,as Mrs Cindy warned all of them to clean the class.
They all started leaving the class avoiding the cleaning part.

Jay-Jay - Oy! Where are you all going? Mrs Cindy wanted us to clean up the class.

Eman - Ashlyn,get over here.

Ashlyn just stood there like a statue.

Ashlyn - What? Are you not going to clean up?

Keifer - Clean the room.

He said closing the door.

Jay-Jay - Oy!

Ashlyn - Wait! Are you really leaving all the work to us? Seriously?

Jay-Jay - So immature! As if they are not from this section.

Ashlyn - It's okay,I'm going to help you.

Jay-Jay picked up the broomstick and the mop handing over to Ashlyn.

Jay-Jay - Did you give it a thought?

Ashlyn - Huh? About what?

Jay-Jay - Moving to another section? Mrs Asunta said we could.

Ashlyn - Uhh,I don't think I want to...I have people I know here.so...

Jay-Jay - I get it,I was gonna say that too.I'm not gonna back down anyway!

She said not knowing others were eavesdropping.
The girls started cleaning.

Ashlyn - So childish...they can't even take the responsibility of messing their classroom.

Jay-Jay - Who is this? Ella...

Suddenly the door opened with a bang as Keifer stormed towards Jay-Jay.

Keifer - You are getting out of line!

Jay-Jay - You guys had something inbetween,didn't you?

She said smirking.

Keifer - Shut up or I'll make you shut up!

Felix - You look like husband and wife!

He said cockily.

Ashlyn - What in the world is happening!

She said covering her eyes.
Others laughed at her adorable actions.

At home

ASHLYN'S POV

I walked to my home.
Anyone would be happy to go to their homes after a long day...but I feel nervous and scared.
I went inside my house and found my dad sitting on the couch.

Dad - Looks like someone who is never grateful came.

I just hung my head down as I stood there waiting for another fight to start up.

Dad - Did you withdraw your admission from the school?

He asked calmly.
Well,it was more scary when he speaks calmly.
I shook my head indicating a "no".
He suddenly threw the paperweight which were holding some papers on the table.

Ashlyn - Dad! I really don't want to study in Germany...I don't have anyone there either.

Dad - Stop speaking! Such a trouble.Can't you do one thing properly!?

He screamed.
His screams reached to the top of the house.

Ashlyn - Dad,please...I just want to be close to Percy.

Dad - As if you aren't the one who killed him! The Curse that's killing everyone in this family.

Ashlyn - Please don't say that dad...you already kept telling that more than enough times.

Dad - You killed your mom the day you were born,and then your brother on the same day! Your birth itself is a big mistake in my life! Why don't you just kill yourself?

His words went deep through my heart.
It felt like my heart was cut into many parts.
Trying not to cry,I clenched my jaw.

Dad - What more are you going to do? Kill me? Kill all the family and your friends too!

Ashlyn - DAD! Please just stop! Why do you keep doing this? As if I'm not guilty enough for killing my mom and my own brother dying on my birthday.

I sobbed.
I felt a sting on my left cheek,he slapped me.

Dad - How dare you speak like that to your own father!?

I ran to my room.
Why can't I just have a normal relationship with him?
I turned on my phone,putting on earphones.
I turned on the recorded voice calls I had with Percy.
They always help me when I have a fight with dad,when I miss him or when I'm feeling down.

Percyy - Hey,are you crying again?

I could hear my own sobs on the record.

Ash - Dad won't stop fighting with new mom.

Percyy - It's okay! You know it's common...you must start getting used to this.

Ash - I'm so scared by their screams...it's so scary.

Percyy - Calm down,stop crying.Crying would only weaken yourself...you know that,don't you?

I hummed.

Ash - Don't make me laugh! I'm serious.

Percyy - Okay,don't get angry...you little angry bird~

He teased.

Percyy - okayy! You know,sleep with me on the call today.

Ash - Will you be okay with it? It's morning there.

Percyy - It's okay,sleep now.

Ash - Okay.

Percyy - Sleep now...everything is okay,you are safe.

I hugged the phone to my chest and cried.
I kept crying until I slept unknowingly.
