CORDELIA LEONA PRESCOTT WAS A YOUNG WITCH GRACED FROM THE MOMENT SHE WAS BORN ON THE NIGHT OF OCTOBER 16, 1960. Her presence was reminiscent of the delicate and sweet scents of flowers and vanilla, her fair skin glowing with a youthful luminescence. Her soft brown hair, silky and smooth, framed her face perfectly, her hazel eyes speckled with a hint of green. Her two loose braids, usually adorned with a simple ribbon, added a touch of warmth and a hint of childlike charm to her elegant aura.

She moved with a calm and poised demeanor sometimes may be seen by her peers. Though not quite quiet, she preferred to speak only when she had something worth saying. As an astute observer of the world around her, she understood the importance of choosing her words carefully. Those who knew her would describe her as loyal, beautiful, and intelligent, with an undeniable charm about her that drew others to her effortlessly.

As a child, Cordelia found solace and comfort in the beauty of nature, particularly in her favourite flowers, hydrangea, their petals delicately dancing together like a gentle breeze. At age 11, she was sorted into Ravenclaw, a house that suited her well. She was proud of her intellect, and she embraced her newfound scholarly environment happily.

However, her life wasn't free from its challenges. She had one sibling, a shy and quiet brother named Noah who was a year below her in Gryffindor. Though he was not particularly brave, he found himself often the target of their classmates' cruelty. Cordelia, ever the protective sister, always stood up for him, her loyalty towards him unwavering.

Amidst her studies and the complexities of her school life, Cordelia found a loyal and trustworthy friend in Lacy Foster, a young witch of Ravenclaw who possessed a completely different personality. Lacy was known for her loud, energetic and occasionally carefree nature, a stark contrast to Cordelia's calm demeanor. Despite their differences, the two girls formed an unlikely bond.

Through the years, Cordelia had endured the relentless insults and teasing from James Potter with a steadfast resolve, choosing to rise above his childish antics. As they entered year 5, however, something changed. His teasing took on a new quality, a strange and unexpected flirtation that left Cordelia feeling both confused and intrigued.

Now, as they entered year 6, the whispers of James flirting with Cordelia had spread throughout the school. Yet, there was a shadow that loomed over them. The news had circulated about Cordelia's father's disappearance, leaving uncertainty and worry in its wake.

As the school year commenced, Cordelia found herself in the midst of a whirlwind of emotions, balancing her studies, her friendships, and the unexpected romantic attention from the ever-mysterious James Potter. Little did she know, the challenges awaiting her were not just limited to her school life, but extended to the mystery surrounding her father's disappearance, and whether or not she would find her own happily ever after.

As Cordelia bid farewell to her parents and her younger brother, who was about to start his first year at Hogwarts next year, she accidentally bumped into a girl while heading to the train. Cordelia hastily apologised, "Oh, I'm terribly sorry! Please don't be upset!" The girl greeted her with a warm smile and responded, "Don't worry, it's alright. What's your name?" With a friendly tone, Cordelia replied, "Cordelia. Cordelia Prescott. It's a pleasure to meet you. And yours?"

"Lacy Foster." The girl introduced herself with a cheerful tone. "Would you like to sit with me?" she added, extending the invitation. Cordelia nodded in agreement, unaware that her interaction had not gone unnoticed. Unbeknownst to her, two watchful eyes were observing her.

James Potter, accompanied by his new friends Sirius, Peter, and Remus, was engaged in conversation with them. However, his gaze kept lingering on a girl walking towards the cart, whom he found particularly attractive. "She's gorgeous..." he muttered to himself, referring to Cordelia. Sirius caught wind of James' comment and chuckled, shaking his head.

"Seriously, mate? You took one glance at her," Sirius chuckled. James quickly snapped back, annoyed. "Shut it."

Seizing the opportunity, James walked up to Cordelia and attempted to make a smooth move. "Hey there, angel." But Cordelia was not impressed, rolling her eyes in response. "Who are you?" Cordelia asked. James answered, "Your future husband." His attempt at humor failed to amuse Cordelia. "James Potter," he introduced himself, extending his hand, but Cordelia ignored it. "Cordelia Prescott. Did you need something?" she asked, growing increasingly impatient.

Unfazed by her response, James continued to flirt, calling her "Can i not talk to a pretty girl like you Dilly?" which she immediately shot down. "Don't call me that," she said, her expression unchanging. Undeterred, James tried another nickname, "DeeDee?" he suggested, chuckling. "You're detestable, you know that, Potter?" she retorted. He persisted, saying, "Who knows? Maybe you'll grow to love me, and I can be your Romeo to your Juliet." He winked at her, but Cordelia just huffed in frustration.

"Valediction, Potter." Cordelia said abruptly, turning on her heel and walking away, clearly not amused by James' relentless flirting. James watched her leave, a mixture of fascination and intrigue in his eyes.
