I would read if I were you, it helps a lot with the story.
Obviously, this is a Leo Valdez x Reader book. So, I'm going to explain what the reader is in this book. I've come up with a new Goddess, and that's going to be you, duh. This is exactly like the books, just with you added.
Basically, a very, very long time ago, Persephone and Hades had a child, and her name was Eveleclius (EV-ELL-EE-CLEE-US), and she was the Goddess of everything, meaning she was a lot more powerful than the gods, so the God's came together and talked about what they would do with her, because she thought that there were enough Gods as there is, and she wanted to do her time on Earth, use her powers to Earth's benefit, not theirs.
They decided they would ask her what she wanted them to do with her. She had told them she wanted to do her time on Earth, not being a God. The gods thought she would do good as a demigod. So, they rebirthed her as Persephones child, Y/N L/N. Of course, she was Hades' child, too. But no one but the Fates and the Gods knew that.
Eveleclius was known as "The Lost Goddess" as no one knew what happened to her, they knew her story, but no one knew what happened after she was rebirthed.
She had the same powers and abilities, but she'd have to find that out herself, she was just as much of a genius as before, knowing a lot of things before anyone else finds out, her hunch of things, but there was one problem, she wasn't allowed to tell people what she knew, the gods did that, so the Fates wouldn't allow it. She was allowed to give hints, though, but that was it.
She went to Camp Half-Blood at the age of 6. Something about her attracted monsters, I'm sure you know why, so her adopted parents sent her away early. Though, she's been jumping from home to home for years.
She's always been quiet, too quiet, almost. Always observing and listening instead of talking. She's different, smarter than Athena, more beautiful than Aphrodite, more with Earth than Persephone and Demeter, more sneaky than Hermes, more brave than Zeus, more with the waters than Poseidon, darker than Hades, but lighter than Apollo, better at fighting than Artemis. The list goes on.
When Percy Jackson came into the picture, he thought she was weird. Not weird, I guess, but odd. She didn't talk, but Luke had told him about her, everything about her. "Persephone would cheat on Hades?" He'd asked him, to which Luke half laughed, and half scoffed, and said "Oh, you have no idea,".
You see, Annabeth, Luke, and Grover were
When Percy got his prophecy, he didn't know who he could trust, but he knew for sure who wouldn't betray him, Annabeth Chase, the wise girl who didn't seem interested in being his friend, and Y/N L/N, the seemingly silent girl who hadn't spoken a word to him and clearly didn't want to be friends with anybody. (In my books, 4 campers normally go on quests, not 3).
So, he picked those two, as he knew both would be beneficial to the quest, the wise girl who seemed to always be right, and the even wiser girl, who just simply knew everything. He was caught in a box while trying to decide if he should pick Grover, his protector, and Luke, his new friend.
During the quest, Percy found that he hated the H/C girl. She was silent, not saying anything. Only claiming something when she thought was absolutely necessary, he did find out she was from Nevada, so that was a little helpful. When he found out luke had betrayed him, he looked at the girl in rage, asking her if she knew, and why she didn't say anything, to which Annabeth had to interject and told him she literally couldn't.
Through the years, their bond got slightly stronger, until one day, when people would ask either who their best friend is, Percy would say "Oh, Y/N of course, isn't that obvious?" And
Y/N would sigh while saying, "Oh, probably Persassy Jackson, couldn't you tell?"
no one's ever seen the H/C girl smile, but Percy had once, while they were at the campfire, and a little further away from anyone for someone to hear, they were talking about their types and Y/N knew what she was doing. "You don't have a type. You just get to know someone, and you find out you really like them," she told him. He knew that, too. "Oh, is it the same for you?"
"Hell no, I definitely have a type, brown eyes for sure, preferably brown hair,"
"Ah, well, hopefully he's as calm as you, I don't know if you could handle someone as hyper as me,"
"I already do every day," she stared at him blankly.
"That's faul," he laughed.
"What about you, though? Do you like blonde hair?" She was gonna do this fast. He wouldn't be able to catch on.
"It's stunning,"
"Grey eyes,"
"Beautiful,"
"Insanely smart?"
"The best,"
"Annabeth Chase?"
"No one I'd rather be with,"
"Boom,"
He was shocked, a dumbfounded look on his face. "Please never tell any -"
"Don't worry, Persassy, you're secrets safe with me, though, I'm not sure it's so much of a secret," she was smiling. Percy couldn't believe his eyes. He just stared. There was no doubt Y/N was beautiful, but wow, Percy was stunned. "What?"
"You're really beautiful, do you know that?"
"I'm not sure if you're hitting on me right now, but I don't swing your way, my friend,"
"Dear gods, you're my best friend, but lord, you're stunning,"
"Y'know what, Annie's about to find out your dirty little secret," she got up. Percy grabbed her arm and sat her down.
"You know you're allowed to be called beautiful,"
"I know," she had stopped smiling awhile ago. Percy wasn't trying to hit on her at all. He just thought it was something she needed to hear. "Thank you,"
Y/N's life changed at the age of 13, when she had summoned a couple of skeletons and ghosts during capture the flag when she didn't need to. One, because the game was ending, but Clarisse wouldn't stop trying to beat her, I mean, the girl was too small to resist. Two, because she was winning against the 5 girls and 1 boy that was trying to kill her, not literally. Everyone was watching this. To this day, she still doesn't know why Chiron or Mr. D didn't stop them. She was claimed by Hades, and that wasn't supposed to happen, under the Helm of Darkness read,
Eveleclius
Goddess of Everything
"She's the lost Goddess?"
"Hades?"
All sorts of things were being said about her. She had questions, too. She had no idea, which never happens. This wasn't supposed to happen.
She was more silent than ever, campers feared her, but worshipped her, it was weird. People thought she was mean, but when they actually talked to her, they found she was super sweet, just never smiled, and didn't keep the conversation going for long.
Percy thought she was the coolest person ever, as did Annabeth and Grover. Everyone knew she was the strongest demigod, and even when everyone knew she was a Goddess, they knew it wasn't supposed to happen. So, they still treated her like a demigod, the most powerful demigod. Only sometimes, would people refer to her as a Goddess. In most peoples eyes, Y/N L/N was the best demigod to ever exist.
Y/N, Annabeth, Percy, and Grover have been through almost everything together since Percy got to camp.
She is one of the 8 of the prophecy.

I hope that makes sense, and I hope no one's mad with the changes I've made, lol. But that's your backstory. If you don't like it, I guess either deal with it or message me? I'm not even sure, I get so scared to make stories because people be judgemental asf lmao.
Ya girl don't come in until the 4th chapter. But she's very briefly mentioned in chapters before.
