Theodore Nott, with a beautiful blue rose in his hand, waited outside the Gryffindor common room with a slightly dejected feeling within himself as he never expected himself to stand outside that wretched place out of all for a girl.

   He couldnt believe himself.

Rosalie Hearst, as suppossed to be leaving for the quidditch practise for upcoming match, wasn't coming out for so long now. Theo gathered the information and decided he would ask her out as soon as possible to win the challenge he has agreed to.

Theo ignored all the weird looks aimed at him, as people were finding it quite intriguing on seeing a slytherin standing outside the gryffindor common room, some defensive gryffindors also suspected him to be upto something mischevious but he was able to tell them off.

A girlish voice came from the door of the gryffindor common room swinged open again, Theo immediately ran a hand through his hair, fixing himself a bit and turned to the girl, he hoped Rosalie to be. But much to his utter disappointment it was her friend, Hermione, who looked horrified at the moment as she stared at the boy holding a flower to her.

Just behind her was, Rosalie, whose heart let out a cracking sound at the sight. That was the last thing she could ever imagine. Her crush giving her best friend a flower!

"Its not for you," Theo muttered darting his eyes away from Hermione in slight disgust, a little relief washed over Rosalie suddenly but her heart still hammered as she wondered who might that flower be for in the common room, for whom Theo himself came there. His eyes fell on the girl behind Hermione and he internally smirked before saying to Hermione tersely, "Now leave my way."

Hermione rolled her eyes irritably and grabbed Rosalie's hand, "Lets go, Rose."

As Rosalie started leaving with a heavy heart with Hermione, trying to avoid his presence there, she was stopped by him, "Wait Hearst."

Her breath hitched. She turned back to him and saw he was standing there with his posture now changed to polite one and held a humble look. He again glanced at Hermione, "Granger please leave us alone."

Rosalie didnt know why but her breathing was getting abnormal. Hermione folded her arms, "Excuse me? Why would I do such a thing?"

"Hearst?" Theo glanced at Rosalie for help, his voice completely changing as he addressed her. Not thinking once, Rosalie spoke to Hermione without even looking at her, "Mione, let me hear what he wants."

"Are you sure you want to be left alone with him?" Hermione asked to her friend and if looks could kill, Theo would be feasting on her funeral.

"Yes Mione, I'll be fine," Rosalie said not breaking her eye contact with Theo who smirked now, suddenly her demeanor changing as she crossed her arms matching his smirk, "Its not like he'll avada me."

"Fine." Hermione sighed softly and left. Before Theo could behin, Rosalie cut in, "So what do you want? Are you here to fix the match for tomorrow with that pathetic idea? Believe me Nott, all the girls I know inside wont fall for this stupid trick."

Theo chuckled amused, "I like how your mind works, Hearst. Wish we had such a loyal player in our team but dont worry I am not here to fix the match, atleast not like that."

"Then what is it?" She asked, he stepped towards her and she immediately felt herself go weak. It was hard to mask it but she tried.

One end of his lips tugged up, "I want to take you out on a date, Rosalie," He said and she felt her breath knock out at how he just said her name, he leaned a bit to match her height but she was still shorter, his eyes bore into hers, "Please go out with me?"

"What kind of prank is this?" She asked tearing her gaze from him which was weakening her in the legs, and stepped back, putting a few steps between them.

"Prank?" He raised his eyebrows amused, "I dont do pranks, sweetheart. I genuinely want to take you out."

"Why right before the match?" She asked, not giving in at all. Despite her unreasonable feelings for him, she knew it would be a shame if she fell for it. He was clearly upto something. "The match is tomorrow and I clearly dont see the purpose of this. So just get straight to the point, Nott. Why are you doing this?"

One of the qualities he actually admired about her was her this behavior, she was tough. He stuffed one of his hands in his pocket while the other one held the flower, "I know there are several reasons you wont agree to go out with me but I have one solid reason for why I am doing this."

"Finally, why?" She huffed ignoring a little ache at her heart as now it was clear this was all an act, he wasn't actually asking her on a date, out of the blue.

He raised the flower in her direction, with his eyes softening as he held a small charming smile, "I think I like you, Hearst."

Her breath hitched. She wasn't sure if she was dreaming at that point. That was the last thing she ever expected him to say to her.

Its a lie, Rose. Get a grip. Her inner thoughts reminded her, bringing her out of her reverie. That was definitely a lie. "If this is a joke, I dont like it. And when I joke back you'll return with a broken neck."

He smirked amusedly, "You are charming, Hearst. How could someone not like you?"

"True that," She smirked, internally experiencing something weird, she looked in his eyes challengingly, "But I dont like you, Nott."

    You're a good actress, Rose.

His expressions fell very slightly, he didn't expect it to end like that. He pursed his lips, nodding at her. "No problem, Hearst. But you could still give me a chance, if you are not seeing someone."

He was almost requesting her and it was again seeming to weaken her will. She was sure in herself that she won't fall his tricks and tactics but she didnt know how to resist that boy, whom she was already fallen for.

Should she just consider his offer, who knows if she ever gets that golden opportunity to go on a date with him. Her eyes were focused on the flower, while her stomach churned. She forced her mind to make a negative decision no matter what but that little voice in the back of her head was screaming mercilessly, Say yes! Saye yes! Say yes!

Her mouth opened slightly to let out a faint 'yes' with great courage but the voice seemed stuck in her throat for some reasons. She didnt know if she was doing right by agreeing to him, no matter if she had had a three year long crush on him. Say it Rosalie!

"What's going on here?" Her head jerked sharply on hearing Harry Potter's voice right before she was about to cause destruction by saying yes to go on a date with the boy standing in front of her.

Harry Potter stood there staring at Rosalie, while glaring at the slytherin boy, who held a flower in his hand.  Rosalie breathed heavily, shaking her head rushing to Harry's side. "N-Nothing."

"Rose are you alright? Did he do something?" Harry asked glancing at her while passing Theo a glaring look, who held a pissed one, while she cussed over the sweat that was forming on her forehead. She looked nervous. Meeting Harry's bright green eyes for less than a second, she nodded vigorously, "No, No. Let's go."

Harry nodded at her, swinging an arm over her shoulder protectively while not breaking the cold look he held in his eyes with Theo. Rosalie glanced behind her shoulder as she left with Harry, watching how he stood there, the flower hanging down now.

Later in her dorm, Rosalie paced around not understanding what and why happened today. Hermione watched her anxiously pace across the dorm. "You know you are freaking me out."

Rosalie stopped and glanced at Hermione, letting out a sigh, "I am sorry, Mione." She propped down on the bed beside her, taking a pillow, "You remember today in the morning, Nott was outside the common room?"

Hermione nodded slowly, Rosalie continued prepared to spill the truth, "He asked me out today and said he likes me, I dont believe himβ€”"

"Oh my gosh," Hermione's hand went up to her mouth and eyes widened, "He's definitely into you."

Rosalie rolled her eyes flatly, even though she love to hear that again and again, if it were true but it wasn't, "He is upto something Mione, I can sense it."

"But what if he actually likes you? Its not like its impossible." Hermione said and Rosalie shook her head firmly, "Ofcourse not, Mione, why would he even consider liking me in first place? Remember we are house and quidditch rivals?"

"You remember when last year he let your score purposely in the matchβ€”"

"By mistake. He was being careless."

"He did it because he wanted to let you score, he liked you since then, everyone talked about it how absurd it was." Hermione said dreamily wide eyed, Rosalie knew there was no point in discussing this with her decided to go her sleep.

Dressed up in her quidditch robes, Rosalie was confident she would kill it today. Along with her team she made her way to the quidditch field for today's match that was against Slytherin, everyone in the whole school was extremely excited.

"Okay guys," Harry began as they circled on reaching the pitch, seeing stands were crowded by roaring students, "Today's match is no ordinary match, its the most important match of the whole year, the last time Gryffindor and Slytherins would be fighting this year, so we are going to make this worth it, right? We'll win!"

"We'll win!" The team players repeated after him enthusiastically. All of them lined up in the middle of the pitch on being called by Madam Hooch, the slytherins stood across them, all of them having that nasty Slytherin smirk on their faces.

Harry and Draco held the same look for each other they had been holding for years, the challenging, cold and arrogant one. Meanwhile Rosalie was busy smirking bitterly at the slytherin keeper, Theodore Nott, who purposely stood in front of her and smirked half smiling.

"Hey there, Rose." One end of his lips smiled in her direction. She sighed exasperated, "Its Hearst to you."

He twitched, "I like Rose better."

"Nobody cares what you like, Nott." She was good at hiding her actual feeling by masking them with coldness. He was grinning now, "Too bad, I like you."

There again, she mentally rolled her eyes. He took a step towards her, while everybody was busy with something or the other, "Go out with me Rose, you'll love it."

"No thanks, I am not a fan of hanging out with snakes."

He knew she was not going to agree this way, he nodded taking the step back and chaging the topic, "You know Hearst, you are going to lose today."

She chuckled humorlessly, "And who are you to decide that?"

"I am telling you," He said, "I am not letting you score today."

    "What if I do?"

    "What if you dont?"

She folded her arms, giving him the look. She's so charming, he thought to himself a little sarcastically, "Okay here's the deal, if you score more than fifty points today, I'll do whatever you want, but if you score less than fifty, then.."

"Then?" She raised an eyebrow, he smirked gorgeously, "Then you go out with me, this Hogsmeade trip."

She stayed quiet, studying him, why was he so keen on taking her out? She couldnt help but wonder what he'd get if she went out with him? Because there was no way in real he liked her!

"What happened Hearst?" He chuckled mockingly, "Scared you wont be able to score even fifty points? Should I lower the bar?"

"Fifty is already low enough as you, Nott," She said coldly, "Just pray to you win this stupid bet by sheer luck, or there's no chance you are not making a fool of yourself."

"We'll see Hearst," He smiled this time, "If it will be me making a fool of myself or you and I roaming in Hogsmeade hand in hand."

    "Ew!"

He chuckled at her obviously fake reaction, "Most girls would die to be in your place, Hearst."

"I am not like 'most girls'." She said as a matter of factly. He winked before turning around and leaving, "And that's why I like you."

The match started in the next fifteen minutes and the whole environment couldnt be more exciting and thrilling. Everybody knew it was worth the while when gryffindor and slytherins played in the same field.

Rosalie, taking a long glide on her broom, concentrated on the slytherin ring which was being guarded by none other than Theodore Nott, his face was partially hidden behind the helmet, but she could see the smirk on his face as she approached him, quickly striding towards him in full speed, she aimed the quaffle, sending it towards the ring.

Having locked eyes with her, Rosalie felt he was distracted and didnt have his required attention at the approaching quaffle, so it seemed easier for the quaffle to pass but no, he stopped it right before it would enter the ring and sent it back flying away from him.

She felt irritation at the chuckle he let out unlike the other times when she loved to hear his laugh or watch him smile. Clenching her jaw, she flew back, setting her mind completely and only to the match right now.

The match went on, Rosalie played like there was no tomorrow. Out of nineteen aims, she was finally able to secure forty points. Everyone in the field was quite petrified whenever she aimed. The time was about to go off and she still needed to score a ten.

Meanwhile from a little distance in the pitch, Blaise Zabini smirked and clapped lowly towards Theodore Nott, who clicked his tongue hiding his wand back in his sleeve. There was no way, he would defend so many aims coming from Rosalie Hearst in one match. Gryffindor would have won the match way before if it werent for Theo using his wand secretly.

He needed to win the bet no matter what. And for that he could do anything. Just like he raised his eyebrows mockingly at Rosalie who was so frusterated that the tears of frusteration were burning in her eyes. The audience that supported her house was holding her responsible for not being able to score. Meanwhile the players knew there was nothing wrong with Rosalie, there was something else which was fishy, but what?

"Hey, Rose!" Harry flew towards a frusterated Rosalie who was glaring at each and every slytherin that chuckled whenever she missed her goal. Harry leveled up to her in air gaining her attention, "Calm down and concentrate, you can do this, just take a deep breath and go forward, okay?"

Harry didnt know if she even heard him or not as she flew away from him towards the ring furiously with the quaffle and once again aimed it towards the ring so aggressively that she suprised herself too. Theo who was startled with the quaffle coming in his direction with such speed couldnt do anything out of suddenness, all he knew was that he needed to save the goal and so he did.

In just a matter of seconds the quaffle was smashed in Theodore Nott tackling him down to the ground and everybody gasped at the thud which came when the quaffle hit Theo. Rosalie stared at the scene in horror, what she just did?

Madam Hooch whistled indicating all the players to come down. Flying down on the ground, the slytherins first rushed to their injured team mate while the gryffindors stood watching them. Meanwhile Rosalie's eyes wont bulge off him, she couldnt see him completely but knew he was laying on floor and everyone around him seemed so worried.

"I hurt him," A breath left her mouth, her throat went dry as she couldnt help but get worried about him. She smashed the quaffle in him pretty hard and obviously he must be in pain, "I didnt want to hurt him."

Harry stared at his best friend, side eyed, why was she worried for him?

All she wanted was to just go and check on him and find him well but ofcourse she couldnt, not in front of the whole crowd. Soon the match was called off for today, declaring a tie between both the teams as the scores were equal and no one caught the snitch, the gryffindors and the audience were told to go back to their dorms.

The crowd started dispersing, while the players were busy picking up their stuffs. With a heavy heart, Rosalie started moving with her team as they passed by the little crowd of Slytherin players, they were still discussing about Theo's health with the Professors who rushed to there immediately.

Rosalie walked at the last slowly taking her time to peer in the other team's crowd. She managed to get a little glance of Theo's face, who layed on floor clutching to his arm with painful expressions. Her heart swelled, she really did hurt him bad. She gulped forcing down the tears that were arising.

Theo saw the red team pass by in front of him and his eyes fell on the last player. Through pain he saw, it was Rosalie and was looking at him with a distraught look. Her eyebrows knitted together in worry and her eyes shining. Maybe he hurt hus head as well because a smile forced to pull at it his lips as he thought, she's cute.

His eyes widened as he shook his thoughts away quickly and remembered why he was laying on the floor. She hit him. But that was alright because he won. He wont the challenge why will grant him a date with her and he will win the bet he set with his friends, he could care less of the hundred galleons.

"Hey Hearst!" He called startling the people around him with a sudden smile on his face. Rosalie stopped and turned around upon hearing him call her. She wondered if he would blame her for hurting him, of course he would, she was ready to apologise to him publically.

A smirk pulled at his lips as he called, "Be ready for it!"

Ideas for their date?!?
