when sunoo arrived inside the gymnasium, there are already a lot of students preparing for the training— running back and forth while doing their own tasks.

"sunoo! thank goodness," soobin quickly guided him towards their table. he's one of sunoo's upperclassmen, and he's also taking up the same course as him.

"the last batch of students will be arriving in thirty minutes," the senior gave him a folder, while sunoo is still confused what's going on.

"okay...?"

the older gave him a nervous smile before patting his shoulder. "can you go and assist them to get here?"

what? "wait hyung, i don't know how to do that. plus, isn't this ningning's task?"

"that idiot partied last night and now she's too wasted to even attend the training." soobin sighed.

"i'm sorry sun. you can just shave ningning's head once she comes back. in the mean time, you should go and wait for the freshmen's last bus to arrive."

sunoo grunted, trying to decline but his hyung seemed too determined to make him suffer today.

"hyung, i really can't—"

soobin glanced at him. "don't worry, you'll do great. just welcome them, and then check if anyone's missing."

i shouldn't have acted like i'm looking forward to this shitty membership training. now i have to suffer.

he nodded. feeling defeated, sunoo went back outside. he reached for his phone before making his way towards the front gate of their university, where the bus is going to arrive.

sunoo sighed in relief when the bus finally arrived. he waited for all the students to get out of the vehicle, counting each of them as the freshmen form into two lines.

"hello freshmen, welcome to yonsei! you guys can call me sunoo, i'm your senior from journalism department," he grinned as he give out flyers to the students.

sunoo stood in front of them. "since it's already past 10, we should head towards the gymnasium now. is everyone ready to go?"

"yes sunbae!"

"i bet there's a lot of handsome seniors inside."

"who cares about that?"

"alright, alright. let's go," he laughed softly, signalling the freshmen to start walking.

it's not bad as i thought, but i should've brought an umbrella with me. the sun is almost burning my skin. he groaned internally.

after a few more minutes of walking, they finally arrived inside the gym. sunoo instructed the freshmen to sit on the chairs that they arranged earlier.

"sun!" sunoo turned around only to see soobin waving at him while giving him two thumbs up.

he nodded, feeling a bit happy that he helped. sunoo was about to go back to their post when a freshman held the sleeve of his jacket.

"sunbae?" he looked at the boy who's nearly the same height as him. he looks young, and he seems to be a shy kid.

"yes, do you need something?" he smiled, trying to be as nice as possible because he doesn't want to intimidate the boy.

"well, it's our friend. he's supposed to be with us today but he woke up late and missed the bus," the boy bit his lower lip. "and he probably doesn't know where the gym is..."

sunoo nodded. okay, so there's one student missing.

"can i ask for his name?"

"yes, it's nishimura riki..."

is he japanese? oh, then he's definitely gonna get lost if i don't get to him. "thank you for telling me. can you text your friend that i'll be waiting in the front gate for him?"

the boy agreed immediately and started typing on his phone, while sunoo sighed— walking back outside of the gym again.

sunoo checked his wrist watch. it's been almost an hour and that freshman is still not here?!

he's been standing beside the gate for some time and he's already tired and hungry. where the hell is that kid?

his phone vibrated. it's a text from sunghoon.

okay, just to be clear for everyone:

MT = membership training ; it's like an orientation + gathering for freshmen that are hosted by the seniors (2nd-4th years) in college ^^

sunbae = senior ; students who are in higher years are being called sunbae/senior to show respect ^^
