"BLAST, ROCKET FIST!"
"It's about time you arrived."
I scoffed, hiding the way my mouth wanted to quirk itself upwards into a silly smile as I watched Cyber fly down on Baymax, the armoured robot shooting a heavy fist at Taurus which struck him right into the middle, knocking him off guard and flat onto his back. Then I noticed the other flashes of colour, minus the colour pink which caused my smile to falter as I realised that Honey Lemon wasn't with the group. A sick sensation started to bubble in the pit of my stomach, one which I was forced to stop thinking about and push to the side as everyone else fired attack after attack on Taurus, Gogo speeding around the mech with a long metal rope as she tied him up with the material.
"Are you okay? Why are you always in these situations damnit."
My attention was pushed over to Cyber, who had jumped down from Baymax and instructed him to continue attempting to restrain Taurus. Then he ran in my direction, and I stared at him, blinking with some form of surprise as his arms wrapped around me to support my body, forcing me to lean against him.
That armour is not comfortable.
I looked down at my hands, scratches visible, dirt adorning my once pristine clothes, but I was fit and well, my exhaustion was no more as well and all in all I felt rather...
"I'm great, actually."
I murmured, furrowing my brows slightly as I pushed myself out of his hold and looked at him. He held my face with a hand and became rather invasive, turning it as though to check my face for injuries, which pissed me off as I scowled at him, catching the breathless mutter of you idiot being mumbled under his breath.
"What happened to Honey."
Cyber let go of my face to glance behind him, as did I as we heard the yells from Taurus as he attempted to break out of his restraints. Then he grabbed me by the wrist, gently pulling me away from the others and the villain as he dragged me into a random store that was nearby.
"His hammer attack got her, we had no choice but to get her out of here."
I bit the inside of my cheek, my voice lowering even further.
"Is she okay?"
"Nothing is broken, but she's out cold for the meantime."
A silent breath of relief left me.
"It's a good thing it's nothing serious."
I was silent for a couple of moments, nervously chewing the inside of my cheek until I felt the cool material of metal and fabric on my hand, bringing it up between us and looking down as I watched thin trickles of blood run down my fingers from my knuckles.
"God, Y/n, what did you do to yourself?"
His voice was unusually quiet, it was hard to see the expression he held under the helmet, but based on the way his visor was tilted down slightly, I had the assumption he was looking at my injury.
"Uhm...I...fell down?..."
I coughed rather nervously, looking back at my fist as I remembered how it became so bloodied in the first place. My eyes grew wide once more and I grabbed Cyber's collar that peeked out from under his purple chest plate.
"Karmi. The children. The communicator, did you find them?"
He nodded, and I felt pressure around limbs as Cyber grabbed me by my arms, whilst I maintained my hold on his collar.
"We've found them, she told me...you were trying to use yourself as a distraction."
There was a disbelieving laugh lacing his tone of voice as he spoke to me, his volume increasing louder with each word as I felt his grip grow more firm around my arms.
"Are you kidding me Y/n?"
He hissed, and my eyes darted down to his hands that grew tighter, a frown etching itself deeper across my features.
"A distraction? What were you thinking!"
I scowled as his helmet bumped against my face, yanking my arms out of his hold as I looked up at him.
"Answer my question Cyber. Did you get them out?"
"Not yet! Not when you were out here trying to lead a villain away on your own!"
It felt as though my body had been thrown into a pitch black void of nothing as his words reached my ears, processed within my brain and caused my stomach to plummet. There was an empty cavity within my that felt as though I had suddenly transformed into an abyss, completely separate from whatever was occurring within our surroundings as my face tingled with the sensation of my body suddenly going numb.
"You...what..."
My scowl dropped immediately as the corner of my mouth twitched upwards, searching his visor for any sort of aura of joking radiating from him, but it was so fucking hard because I couldn't see the stupid face that was behind the screen.
"Are you fucking kidding me?"
A low, almost whispered laugh escaped my lips like an exhale of sharp air. A high pitch and mildly delirious spark of laughter soon followed afterwards as I tilted my head downwards, transfiguring itself from a laugh, into a low growl as my fists clenched his collar even tighter, the blood trickling a little bit more as I did so.
"I GAVE KARMI THE COMMUNICATOR SO YOU COULD GET THEM OUT OF HERE!"
Cyber's hands clutched my forearms tightly, and I could feel the anger in the way he was gripping my arms, shaking my body as he stepped closer to me.
"YOU WERE GOING TO DIE Y/N, BE REASONABLE!"
A mocking laugh left my lungs at his words as my hands left his collar to push at his shoulder pads.
"I AM BEING REASONABLE, YOU KNOW I WOULD BE FINE."
"FACING A MAN WITH A MECH THAT GIVES HIM SUPER STRENGTH? NO I WOULDN'T!"
I scoffed loudly, pushing him away and turning around, I throwing my hands into the air with disbelief at what I was hearing from Cyber, who seemed to be completely irrational right now. Then I turned around with a deeper scowl, pointing a finger right into that stupid helmet of his with the stupid ears that stuck out of it.
"My brother is with those children."
I seethed through clenched teeth, red blurring my vision.
"Get them all out of here now!"
A silence fell between us with Cyber reaching out to hold my wrists.
"You're going with all of them. You're not going to argue, so wipe that scowl off your face right. Now."
My stomach churned with burning resentment at the authoritative tone of voice he attempted to use on me. And I pulled against his hold, which only tightened further as Cyber yanked me from the store we were hiding in, carefully guiding the both of us around Taurus' blind spot in order to leave the sector of the mall that he was in as I was dragged to the room which was hidden behind the vending machine. The door was visible, and fearful eyes peered out.
As he opened the door, revealing the many faces within the room, some smiles popped up on everyone's faces, and he closed the door behind him, picking me up and placing me onto the table that was in the room, promptly ignoring my complaints at the way he was treating me. The room that we were all in wasn't considerably large, and Cyber, dressed in his clunky armour, just managed to squeeze himself into the remaining space in the room.
"The exits are all blocked, have any of them been opened up?"
Ignoring the scorching anger that caused my skin to buzz with static, I spoke to Cyber in a low voice, focusing my gaze on Sorei who was trying to weave himself between the children in order to reach me. With a deep breath, I faltered, reaching down to pick him up and hold my brother tightly against my body, kissing the top of his head and peeling my mask off my face to place it over his, in order to try to prevent the dust and debris from reaching his respiratory system.
"Cyber."
I repeated sternly, forcing myself to look at him.
"Have they been opened?"
There was a resigned sigh from him as he leaned against the wall next to me.
"There's a lot of concrete on each of them, it seems that this was a plan."
"He knows Illuminous."
I whispered, looking at Sorei and biting back a wince as I felt Cyber shift from next to me to get closer, placing a hand on my back.
"Taurus is associated with Illuminous."
"All the more a reason you need to stay away Y/n."
He sighed, and I furrowed my brows as I looked up at him, ready to argue.
"No, shut up. I know you think you're strong but you need to think bigger here, I mean come on."
My frown solidified itself on my face even as Cyber reached over to tap Sorei on the head, my brother reaching out with a happy giggle as he held his finger with a hand and attempted to put it in his mouth.
"What would you do if Sorei was in danger again and you'd got yourself injured."
"I told you, I knew you would arrive."
I snapped, quickly glancing up as another booming noise rattled the floor and then the room.
"I knew what I was doing. I just needed you guys to get here on time and away from here."
My mouth went dry as I looked back to Sorei, placing my hand delicately over his head and pressing his head to my collar.
"I just didn't want anyone in danger, so I wanted you to take them out first."
I felt his hand touch my shoulder, and out of a natural defensive reaction, I flinched out of Cyber's hold, biting the inside of my cheek and looking away from him until I felt that he was away.
"We're getting all of you out, okay?"
I couldn't bring myself to look at him, not when he was speaking to me as though I was some frail damsel in distress, even as I held a toddler in my arms as though I were clutching onto him for dear life.
"I thought I made you promise me to call me when you're in trouble."
"Technically I did..."
I paused for a moment, noticing the tens of eyes that were staring at the two of us.
"...Cyber can we focus more on everyone else that's in the room instead of us?"
"Cyber, what? Promises? This? Are you two, no way!"
Karmi spluttered as she looked between the two of us, her cheeks darker in colour and a shocked smile on her face as she looked between the two of us.
"A hero and a hacker."
She paused briefly and I let myself groan as she clapped her hands.
"Wait! That's the perfect fanfic idea! You're perfect!"
"Let's focus on that later! Well, no, but- OKAY!"
Cyber clapped his hands with a painfully awkward laugh, and I grimaced as the children tried perking up into the discussion as well, their words and assumptions more terrible than the last.
"Wait...You're Cyber's girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend? You're telling me they kiss!"
"Duh, she's pretty she's obviously a superheroes girlfriend!"
"Are you guys gonna get marri-"
"Whoever-is-the-quietest-
wins-an-ice-cream-bowl-
from-me-challenge go!"
I spat out quickly, sighing to myself as the room went completely silent before I glared over at Cyber, who was absolutely useless in trying to get to children to quieten down. I stood up, placed Sorei on the table, and manoeuvred the younger children so that they all sat on the table as well, providing more room within the small area for us to stand.
Another thud shook the room and the kids held onto one another fearfully, yells from the remaining fighters in the group outside being heard as I cursed quietly to myself and looked to Cyber.
"Well, do you have a plan or are you also going to hide in here?"
I snapped, hands on my hips as I glared at him.
"I was actually going to back out there to fight, Miss Suni."
He sneered at me with that condescending tone as he said that little name of mine, from under his helmet and I bit back the urge to punch my fist straight through the darkened visor.
"The exits are all blocked with too much debris and concrete. You guys will have to hide in here until Taurus is down."
"Well isn't that a brilliant plan."
I muttered to myself sarcastically with a roll of eyes, folding my arms over my chest as Cyber turned just before he was about to leave.
"Do you have a better plan Miss Suni? I mean, I am dying to know?"
I ignored the sarcasm that laced his voice as I aimed a kick at his shin, ignoring his scream as I manoeuvred my way to the back of the room, tapping my knuckles against the wall and placing my ear against it as I knocked on different areas of the wall.
Building foundations always had a weak spot within the walls. A golden area that would easily break when a force hard enough was struck towards it. The exits and entrances of the mall had all been completely blocked with debris that was the aftermath of explosions, however, a wall was just a single barrier that needed breaking in order for...
Breaking...
"The windows-"
I turned back to Cyber with a grin on my lips.
"We're on the ground floor."
I pointed out as I weaved back over to him, peering out the door where I saw Taurus running past the sector we were in, the others chasing after him.
"There are stores that have glass windows, break them, we have a way out."
The smile left my face as quickly as it had appeared and I shook my head, leaning against the table once more as the kids all grabbed me for comfort. I bit my cheek as I hears their terrified whimpers, bringing my arms around them all as they clung onto me before turning my head to Cyber again.
"Nevermind, too risky to bring them into the open. At this point. You guys need to find a way to take Taurus out. Start with his weapon, get Plasmid to slice it when he shoots."
"Where do you think you're going?"
Cyber asked as I left the table and moved towards the door, dragging him by the wrist as he jerked himself out of my hold, grabbing my arm in return.
"You're not getting into this fight."
Oh for the love of me, I'm not doing this again.
I growled under my breath as I grabbed his collar once more, giving him a shake.
"There's a weak spot in his armour that is right on the symbol. The hammer is attached with a coil that has a three second time frame before it's reloaded. They're electromagnets, that's why he can put it back so quickly."
I paused, gripping the fabric a little tighter.
"I might not be...strong enough to fight him..."
There was a bitter aftertaste on my tongue as I spat the sentence out. Burning my taste buds and filling my stomach with a nauseating sensation I had to swallow down as I continued to speak.
"But I am smart enough. I can distract him long enough to occupy his attention for the rest of you to get hits in. You need to trust me for once."
He shifted, and I couldn't quite tell what he was going to say, but I didn't give him the time to respond as I physically kicked him out of the room, following after him and pushing the vending machine back over the door and hoping that he was watching me.
"Blast, I need you here now."

"Are you all okay?"
Y/n had run over to Karmi who was with the group of children, each of them clinging to her as she looked over to her younger classmate rather helplessly.
"Us? What about you?"
The older woman had spluttered in return to the younger girl's concern, looking over her shoulder to the superhero group who was being peppered with attention from the paparazzi after Taurus had surrendered the moment that his hammer had been sliced off, the electromagnets neutralised, and he performed a jump so high he had shot through the ceiling of the mall and scurried away screaming surrender. After that, Big Hero 6 blasted an exit through the mall and started the retrieval process on casualties and citizens who had been trapped within the mall.
There were a lot of people hidden inside of stores, and too many casualties than anyone would have liked there to be.
"I'm fine, thank you for staying with the kids."
Y/n sent Karmi a weak smile as she approached the group, the children all crowding around her the moment she got close and staring up at her with wide eyes.
"Come on everyone, let's find your parents."
Ten minutes had passed until the children had been reunited with their parents, who had thanked the girl with tears in their eyes and red noses as they clutched onto their kids for dear life.
"I had no idea you were so close to the team."
Karmi elbowed her slightly, and Y/n laughed nervously as she spotted the smirk on the older girl's face.
"Yes, well, It turns out I have a natural talent for getting caught in situations."
Karmi's grin got deeper, and she leaned down with her hands on her hips.
"So you're just a fan of Cyber's huh?"
She glanced down to the keyring that was on the girl's bag, then stood up tall with a shrug.
"Well it makes sense why you hate fanfiction, I'd get jealous if people were making stories on my superhero boyfriend too."
Mom, if you can see me, please make room for me wherever you are
A disgusted grimace crossed the girl's face immediately at her words, and she scoffed, picking up her brother with a huff as she focused more on wiping the invisible pieces of dirt on his face.
"I am not- his girlfriend that is. Cyber is a hero but as a person he is such a-"
Y/n was cut off by a scoff from Karmi who rolled her eyes.
"If there wasn't something there, he wouldn't have had his hands on you the whole time. It was like he couldn't stay away from you-"
She paused for a moment, eyes gleaming as she perked up with a clap.
"Oh my god! An enemies to lovers relationship! I need to get onto writing this!"
At that moment, she heard a car honk, and behind them both a man waved to the group, an urgent look on his face as he called for the older girl and the three triplets that were with her.
"That's my Uncle, I know we got into some trouble today. But I hope you can take this as a day where we got closer. You're really strong Y/n."
Karmi's smile became a little smaller, but she held an unmistakably warm look within her eyes as she placed a gentle hand on Y/n's shoulder.
"Really strong, and Cyber cares about you a lot. You're perfect for him, and your strength is nothing you should feel ashamed of."
Her smile grew wider as she walked away with the triplets, each of them waving to the two Suni siblings who were watching them leave.
"See you in college tomorrow!"
"Yeah..."
Y/n raised her hand to return the wave feebly, biting her cheek to stop the despair from wanting to cover her face.
"...tomorrow."
She sighed as she watched the car disappear, and looking around she could see the crowd dissipating as well, leaving the ambulance crew and the injured citizens who were being treated or sent to the hospital. Y/n moved her gaze to Sorei, who seemed to be unphased since the moment he was back next to Y/n, and who had seemed to have thrown off the mask she placed over his face a while back.
"Come on baby, let's go ho-"
"Excuse me, we aren't done talking yet."
"Oh for the love of- I'm not listening to more of your whining again Cyber."
Y/n spun on her heel as she heard the deeper, agitated voice of the superhero behind her, then glanced over his shoulder to spot the press who were currently looking around frantically.
"And the news reporters are here too. Stay away from me."
"Fine, then we'll talk somewhere else."
The superhero bit back in return, reaching out to grab her wrist
