"Thanks Honey Lemooon!!!"
Isla shouted to the orange haired woman who drove us home from SFIT after what felt like a painfully long morning. I lifted Sorei who was sat in his seat, carrying him in one hand. It wasn't as hard as it appeared to be, especially considering the fact that I do workout on a schedule, during the week. The new house had two garages, and one of them held my Father's car, whilst the second garage functioned as my workspace as well as my personal gym, and I wanted to get in there with my ideas for building a much more efficient, carry along computer.

"Thank you, you really didn't have to do thi-"
I was cut off by Gogo who was sat in the passenger seat at the front, eyes glued to the screen and feet on the dashboard.
"Don't say no, you'll get dragged along anyways. Trust me on that, at least."

I sighed, looking at the two of them wearily, Honey beaming at me whilst Gogo continued to look at her phone.
"Clearly,"
I clicked my tongue in annoyance from the accidental "friendship" I had been pulled into against my own will. If you could even call this a friendship so far. It was definitely past the acquaintance stage though, and I was feeling heavily uncomfortable with the fact. Even if it was one sided.

"We'll see you tomorrow Hacker! Take care!"
I waved half heartedly as Honey drove off, Gogo made a peace sign through the window, and the moment they disappeared down the road, the door behind me opened and I jolted. Sorei's seat almost slipped from my grip if it wasn't for the hand which swiped it from me before he could hit the floor. My heart palpitated rapidly and I gave my Dad a glare as I held my hand over my heart.

"Never, do that again."

"How was your first day at college?"
He asked, ignoring the fact I almost went into cardiac arrest as we all walked into the house. Isla ran ahead whilst I followed afterwards with Dad, closing the door behind me and walking into the living room.

"It was interesting, SFIT is a nice place, but I don't think it's an environment for children."
I sighed, collapsing onto the sofa. Dad chuckled as he unclipped Sorei from his seat, sitting down next to me as he watched him run after Isla.

"What happened?"
"Nothing much, Isla was looking for Rem and ran into a class the Principle was teaching, then cried. They both cried."

"Sounds exhausting"
Dad remarked, a sly grin on his face as he elbowed my ribs. I spluttered as his elbow struck a ticklish spot, and elbowed him back just as hard.

"Stop it. How was your first day working at Krei Tech's official building?"
I asked, and Dad leaned backwards on the couch, puckering his lips as he went into thought.

"Not bad, he was asking me a lot of questions about you though, It took me a while to get him off the case."

I sighed, grimacing through my teeth.
Krei had been after me for a while now after he found out how talented I was with security and hacking. I don't think he's aware about how much I know about him, but I think he's become aware of what I am capable of which is why he seems to be trying to reach me for contact. Honestly it was getting annoying, and the only reason Dad's working for him is purely because Krei Tech is a multi million dollar industry. It pays a lot when you work for them, and I don't think Dad wanted to lose that job.

"Thanks for trying. I noticed you're home earlier than usual though."
Dad smiled at me, and I felt a smile grow on my own face.

Dad's smile was infectious. It was one of the things I loved about him. When he smiled, it felt like no matter what was happening, if the world was burning around me, if I were to die within the next couple of moments, as long as my Dad smiled I would always be put at ease. It was one of those things that I couldn't go about my day without seeing. Dad's smile had some sort of magic embedded within it, in order to have the ability to spread happiness and warmth to whoever it was directed at. It was comforting, and something I wanted to see forever.

It broke me to see him so severely depressed after Mom was killed. I booked and organised emergency sessions with a psychologist, and put most of the work onto myself in order to ease burdens on him. I'm so glad it went well.

"Thank you for noticing, I have shorter hours than my last job, which is great!"
I clapped my hands excitedly and gave him a big hug.
"That's great news! Now you can spend more time with us!"

He nodded, and wrapped an arm around me to hug me back even tighter.
"Yeah, I can."
He pulled away for short moment, grabbing my shoulders excitedly as it looked like he had something he wanted to tell me.
"Oh also, Marylin from next door is having her car repaired this week, but she said she'll collect Sorei and Isla from school so you don't have to take them."

I blinked a couple of times as the thought processed, before shaking my head rapidly.

"There's no need for he-"

"She's not letting anyone argue."
Dad lifted a hand to one of his ears, wincing slightly, and only then did I notice the faint hue of red that it was tainted with.
"She's got some spunk for a 60 year old, ow!"

I laughed at him with good nature in mind. Leaning back I crossed one leg over the other, watching as Isla and Sorei ran after one another. My brow furrowed, and I started to unconsciously nibble on the skin of my lower lip.

I was fine with Marylin looking after the kids. She's a nice old lady and even after I did a background check there was nothing bad to see in her public or private records. It's not that I didn't trust her, but it was more of the fact that being seperated from my siblings struck some nerve in me. I found it unsettling.

I've been around Isla since the day she was born, and looking after Sorei for two. The most I've ever had to go without them was six hours due to their schooling. That's it. Anything more than that, and anxiety would leave me on edge until I held the both of them in my arms.

Holy fuck I sound like a Mom

I didn't realise how far I'd drifted off until Dad's hand, which reached to pat my knee, bought me back, and he gave me a reassuring smile.
"Y/n. We're in a new city, for a new life. Nothing bad will happen to either of them."

I gave him a cracked smile, putting my hand over his as I pushed the negative thoughts to the back of my head.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm just overthinking again."

Dad smiled at me, but I could see the pain behind his eyes which I hated. The pain he felt like he had to feel with me, and I felt guilty. I felt guilty that he had to worry for me when he already has a lot to worry about. Before I could say anything, he stood up and clapped his hands.
"Anyways, I'm hungry and I'm thinking of making tteokbokki right now, how does that sound?"

The chorus of agreement from upstairs and from me caused Dad to chuckle as he made his way to the kitchen. Where I soon followed after to help him.

"Is he still grumpy?"
Wasabi whispered to the others, as they all sat on one end of the table, staring at the raven haired boy who was leaning his head onto a hand, glaring at the cup of coffee that was in front of him.

"I think so.."
Honey Lemon whispered back, and the group all winced as Hiro looked up to them with a grouchy expression.

"You know I can hear you guys, right"

"You really seem to be the only one who's not on friendly terms with her."
Gogo muttered through a sigh as she leaned back in her chair lazily. Honey Lemon nodded a little too enthusiastically, bringing out her phone.
"Yeah, she seemed to be fine with us when we took her and her siblings home."
She turned the phone around to show everyone else the selfie she took, when she and Gogo were in the car. At the back, Y/n could be seen in the middle of the car
a flat, emotionless expression on her face. The older girl pulled her phone back and stared at it closely as she zoomed in on the young girl's face.

"I need to ask her to give me her skincare routine"

"I'm kinda surprised Hiro and Hacker haven't clicked."
Fred stated with an inquisitive look as he rubbed his chin with his hand. Hiro's expression dropped, whilst the others seemed to be in some sort of agreement.

"I bet it's cause a pretty girl was mean to him instead of throwing herself on him for once."
Gogo snorted, as Hiro rolled his eyes.

"For your information Gogo. I didn't ask for those girls to throw themselves on me. And second. That's only when I'm in superhero gear."
He pointed out, but Gogo didn't look at him, her expression clearly showing that his words went through one ear and out of the other. The older woman was a master with selective hearing.

A scoff escaped the younger boy as he slouched in his seat.
"I didn't do or say anything to her."
He lied, mind deciding to relapse to when he confronted her, to when he saw her enter his class after her siblings, to the way she pushed him out of her lab after he tried to find Baymax.

"Ohohoooo he did something,"
Fred muttered to the others, smiling at the glare Hiro aimed at him as he failed to whisper.

"Something must have happened, I mean, I'm friends with you all and I can sorta see where she's coming from. As long as she's not a bitch, everything should be fine, right?"
Gogo lifted her head up from her phone to look around at the others. Wasabi inched back a little in his seat, clearly showing that he did want to get involved in a conversation about her. Not that he didn't like her of course, but because he had no opinion on her at the current time and didn't want to say anything about someone he barely knew.

"But, friends Gogo. I will become her friend."

Honey Lemon announced, a twinkle of determination being seen in her eye. It was a twinkle everyone knew quite well, and it was the same determination that usually allowed Honey to get through anything she puts her mind to.

Fred was quite onboard with the idea of becoming friends with the distant, and cold new student.
"Yeah! I want her to teach me how to kick people the way she did to me!"

Hiro snorted,
"I bet it was just instinct, I doubt someone like her would know how to fight."

"There is, dispute, between Hiro and Y/n."
Baymax piped up, unknowingly scaring the group half to death with his sudden appearance. He was dressed in a comedically large apron, which had the image of a cat on it. Provided by Cass of course, who used Baymax to help her around the cafe

"They had a, dispute?"
Gogo repeated, face falling as she looked to Hiro with an annoyed expression. Before anyone else could reply, and before Hiro could
mention anything, Baymax looked down to his stomach as an audio started to play.

"Just because I said I don't want to make friends, doesn't mean I'm not a nice person. Some of us just like to remain alone"

"Why? Because you haven't experienced anything other than being a lone wolf?"

"You recorded the conversation?!"
Hiro spluttered, skin paling in colour slightly as he looked to his friend. Baymax blinked once and tilted his head.

"There was a rise in, blood pressure and testosterone. Showing signs of increasing aggression."

"What do you mean?"

"Don't think you're such a smartass. It doesn't take a genius to figure out you were probably left alone as a kid because you were smarter than the rest, and worked through school as the kid younger than every other high schooler. You think you're so quirky to have the, 'I was always alone so now I won't ever have friends' tro-"

Fred gasped in an overdramatic manner, grasping Hiro's shoulder and shaking him,
"dude that was cold."

"If that were me then it would have been lights out buddy."
Gogo commented, giving the younger boy an intimidating glare which he shrunk at, before looking back at the audio which was playing.

"Don't assume my childhood was like yours. To be safe...don't assume anything at all. I'm capable of much more than you think...and that's one of the reasons why I stay alone."

Everyone fell silent, the venom could be heard so clearly in her voice, no one needed to look at a video to know exactly what expression she had on her face. So far they knew that the new girl was a very passive aggressive person, her words were never loud, but purely by the way she spoke and expressed herself made it clear that she wasn't a person to mess around with. They could see the ice within her eyes and the way her words could freeze a person talking to her.

"and why are you so desperate to know why I want to stay alone, obsessed with me already Hamada?".

"Ugh, you just wish I was obsessed with you"

"And if you recorded me during your class, delete the video"

"And if I don't?"

"I'm a hacker darling. I can get rid of it myself then"

"Was that a really a dispute? They sounded like they were flirting really badly at the end there. It's kinda hard to tell."
Wasabi blurted out after a while as Hiro pretended to gag.

"Flirt? With her? Nothing could make me do that"

"This can be resolved by, civil conversation. I can contact Y/n now."
Baymax piped up bluntly, and looked down again as a picture of Y/n showed up.

"Don't contac-"
Hiro reached over the table as he yelled, but was cut off as Y/n's face popped up on the screen on his stomach.

"What, respectfully, the fuck?"
It seemed as though the call connected to Y/n's computer feed, turning one of the screens into the video call. She rolled across in a chair to the screen, squinting at the image she saw in it. Since she was at home now, she had gotten dressed into something more comfortable, and was lounging in a chair dressed in an oversized hoodie and leggings, hair tied into a loose bun.

"Well well well, what do we have here"
A smug face popped up on screen, and Y/n leaned back in her computer chair, legs propped over the arm of the chair as she looked at them through the screen. A lazy smirk was on her face and she sat with one leg over the other, using chopsticks to place some unknown food in her mouth.

"Is it a feral cat, is it a racoon?"
Hiro growled as he got away from the screen, feeling his blood start to boil the moment he heard a fake sound of realisation escape her mouth.
"Oh, it was just Zero, my bad"

"I don't want to here that from someone who looks like they're related to pandas, and looks like they have the appetite of one too."
He spat venomously, already feeling his blood pressure starting to rise from the mere image of her.

Y/n rolled her eyes, laughing to herself.
"That's hilaruous considering I still seem to look better than you."
She looked down at the box of tteokbokki which sat on her stomach.

Y/n chuckled underneath her breath again before narrowing her eyes at the screen, the circular glasses she wore at the end of her nose reflected light from all angles, and illuminated her face in the dark room she was sitting in.

"Jokes aside, I'm giving you thirty seconds to explain..."
she gestured to the video call with her hand, sitting upright and placing the box of food on her desk.
"This."

She popped another ricecake piece into her mouth, covering her lips with her hand immediately afterwards.
"Do make it quick, I have work to do."

Everyone else popped into camera view, pushing Hiro out of the way as he landed on the ground with a thud.
"Hey Y/n ! Baymax called you!"
Honey Lemon grinned, and Y/n's face slowly morphed into realisation. A twitch appeared in her left eye, and she sucked her lips in as an annoyed expression crossed her face. Looking down for a brief second with her eyes closed, she called out for her friend.

"Rem, over here please!"

"Yes Y/n- Oh !!"

The screen glowed white as Baymax spoke,
"Hello, Rem."

Rem chirped excitedly, legs and arms popping out as he stood on the desk and put his hands? on the screen.
"Baymax!"

Rem turned his head around to Y/n, who sighed as she lifted her head back up and raised an eyebrow as the robot showed her a big smile across his digitalised face.
"I hope you don't mind! I gave Baymax your number so I could talk to him!"

"Awwweee they're robo buddies!"
Honey Lemon squealed, putting her hands to her face as she gushed. By the way she carried herself it wad kinda hard to believe she was a 21 year old who was at her last year of college. The young woman moved her gaze from Rem, to the h/c haired girl who sat in the chair bored, a wide smile still on her face.

"Anyways Y/n, I was just wondering if you'd reconsider and be friends with us!"

"Y/n has friends? Holy- Is the world going to end"
A voice was heard in the background of Y/n's audio feed, and you could see her expression immediately drop into one of annoyance, and then immediately into one of horror as she clicked away rapidly at her keyboard and screens, just as the door opened.

"Honestly, I hope it does."
She muttered, as a light entered the room, and a silhouette travelled around in the background before her lights suddenly turned on. A man could be seen standing near her desk, he was tall and had dark hair, wearing a shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a large smile on his face.
"You really need to switch the lights on in here clever clogs , it's too dark."

Hiro started snickering at the pet name, not bothering to cover his mouth as Gogo pushed him away, leaving him behind the group, continuing to giggle.

"Woah! Y/n I thought you were the oldest!"
Fred exclaimed as he pushed his face closer to the screen to get a better view at the man who had just entered the room, and was now giving everyone friendly smiles. He was tall and had pale skin along with brown hair, he gave everyone a sparkly smile as he waved, dimples visible in his cheeks.

"I am the oldest."
Y/n replied, putting another mouthful of food into her mouth,
"This is my Father."
She pointed to him with her chopsticks as she kept her head down, more focused on eating rather than conversing.

Hiro pushed himself between his friends and squinted at the older man,
"He doesn't look old enough to be a dad,"
he remarked, looking to Min-Jae as he crouched down to get a better angle in the camera.

"I'm 32 actually, but the genes say otherwise."
The older man replied, one hand holding onto the back of Y/n's chair and the other resting on the desk.
"I'm Min-Jae, it's nice to meet you all."

32 ? That's twice of Y/n's age...it doesn't make sense unless he became a Dad young...or she's adopted.
Hiro thought to himself and he looked between the two on screen multiple times. Y/n and Min-Jae looked...not alike for sure, their facial structures were very different, as well as eye shape, nose shape and mouth shape. So, Y/n could look more like her mother, but there was no real way of knowing unless she told them, or they found out somehow.

"Wait what! Do you have eternal youth or
