The same night after Hiro got slapped
"I am receiving a distress call from, Granville"
Baymax informed everyone as the group took the city, each in pairs on night patrol. Most nights were quiet, other nights they'd be alerted for minor crimes such as robberies, and every blue moon the city probably faced some giant human pulverising robot of the sort. It wasn't very often though, not often at all since the Obake incident where the entirety of SanFransokyo almost got wiped out. Recently, night patrol was getting more and more boring, there was close to no crimes occurring, so when Baymax's enhanced analogue-radio-frequency-interference scanners picked up unusual activity, the gang got excited.
"Granville? What could be the issue?"
Wasabi asked, stopping alongside Fred as they both listened to the message.
"I don't know, but it's been a year since she's last had to press that button, so I assume it isn't good"
Hiro replied, he and Baymax landing on a balloon which hovered above the city, looking down as his own enhanced scanner looked for each of the teammates positions.
"π±ππ ππππ πππ‘, πππππ'π ππππ π πππππ ππ ππ ππ΅πΈπ. π·ππππ’ ππ ππππ!"
"Wait...isn't Y/n there now with Granville?"
Honey Lemon murmured as she wracked her thoughts to the last conversation she had with the teenage girl.
"I think she is" - HL
"Woah what? What is she doing there at this time? And on a Friday?"
Wasabi questioned, almost tripping over his own feet as he and Fred looked to one another as they spoke into their communication devices.
"I overheard her talking with Granville,"
Honey explained,
"since she's considered staff she's got access to the building at night to update the security system completely and have it finished."
She and Gogo already started to sprint in the direction of the college as the pair used their equipment to get them to their destination in the fastest way possible.
"Oh she is so stupid, have you seen the time? Does she not sleep?"
Hiro muttered to himself, rolling his eyes as he directed Baymax to start flying in the direction of SFIT at a more slower pace than what he'd normally fly at compared to a normal mission. Truth be told, though he still held bitter feelings towards the girl, they didn't seem appropriate to focus on, especially not when his cheek held a slight red tint to it even hours after he had been slapped by her.
"Y/n has a lack of melatonin, a sleep hormone, her production of gamma-aminobutyric acid is also, unbalanced. Common in those who suffer from, insomnia."
The red armoured robot spoke up from underneath Hiro, surprising the teen slightly from his sudden statement, but also inflicting a jolt of curiosity to enter the boy's mind after hearing the new information.
"So she's an insomniac.." - HL
"Do you think that's why she's able to balance so much work?"
Wasabi prompted, his stamina has definitely improved since being a superhero, but that didn't mean that he was a superhuman at the same time. His breathing was started to become raggedy whilst he sprinted and talked at the same time, clearly becoming out of breath.
"She's practically working around the clock constantly if she's not sleeping"
"Which also gives her the opportunity to plan something really villainous!" - Fred
"Oh for the love ofβ Cut the crap Fred!"
- Gogo

I sat down, hunched over a laptop which had my back on the verge of permanently moulding itself into a form which would probably need me to buy a back brace in order for me to stand straight again. There wasn't a vast amount of empty space in the IT room, so I had to settle my laptop on the floor and manually connect my device to the main source of information contained within the school systems. It was almost 11pm now and I was still at SFIT, shrouded in darkness whilst I worked from the IT room, the only l light coming from the steadily blinking lights from each shelf which held a RAM device. The emptiness of the room made the whole atmosphere more eerie than what I was used to, especially since I wasn't at home working , but in a college which was now completely void of students.
"Okay, let's see if I coded this thing right..."
I mumbled after the diagnostics had finally finished running and I was given the all clear to test out the new computer programme which was to be installed into the cameras. I had already gotten Rem's help with the special formula Honey Lemon created for me, and he provided a lot of help when it came to installations since he could fly around unlike myself.
"Sapphire...systems online"
The RAM boxes that were stacked on the shelves all started to glow a bright shade of purple, enveloping the entirety of the IT room with its colour and spilling into my room next door. My laptop screen was open on the programme I had created for my new system, and I held my breath apprehensively as the loading screen moved slowly.
"Please work please work please."
"Greetings, Miss Suni, systems are online, and are fully operational. It is nice to meet you"
A loud sigh of relief escaped me, and I grin as I lifted my laptop into my arms, staring into the lens of the camera,
"It's nice to meet you too Sapphire. Thank you for the diagnostics check of the cameras"
I mirrored the smile which she had on her screen, watching as she looked around me, most likely curious about the room I was in. Originally I had the intention of carrying my laptop to my lab, more so with the purpose of taking Sapphire with me, until I remembered the feature which made her so advanced compared to the other security systems.
"Actually, can you move to my main computer now please?"
"Yes Miss Suni"
I ran out of the IT room once the purple hue of light disappeared from the screen, and weaved between the rows of RAM and wires in order to reach the door. The moment I managed to stumble into my lab, I stopped breathing, feeling my heart race at the sight.
Around my room the holographic screens had been set up, my main computer at my desk was now purple, Sapphire's face on the screen as the many other screens lit up in the same shade of purple around it. It included my scanners being operational, and several other plug in devices that were in the room. Hell, even the lights in the lab were a shade of lilac.
"Fully operational..."
I laughed through a breath, pushing my hair backwards as I took a seat at my desk.
"Hey Sapphire, you're going to be the main operator of the security within the building. Everything will be captured by you and if there seems to be any abnormalities within the cameras or your programming, alert me immediately."
A silly grin crossed my lips as her icon spun in a circle, growing and shrinking in a playful manner as she replied and transformed herself into a thumbs up.
"Affirmative, I shall provide, Miss Suni."
"Call me Y/n, no need for formalities. Rem can see you before we finish up here."
I looked over to the stationary friend of mine before calling out the phrase which would wake him him, grinning as I watched him fly up and over to me excitedly, then fly in an even more excited manner as he noticed the changes that were in the room.
"Is the system ready?! You did it Y/n!"
Rem sat on the desk and looked straight into the computer's camera,
"hello Sapphire! I am Rem!"
Once Rem introduced themselves, Sapphire's little face on screen started to smile again.
"Other robotic systems? Like me? I have friends like me?"
Before I could have the chance to answer her, Rem had beaten me to it, babbling on about SFIT and the other robotic creations that the other students had made. None of them as advanced as mine of course, unless you include Baymax since he was the only bot who could actually communicate with my own from my current knowledge.
I leaned against my desk as I watched the two converse, it was a cute sight to behold honestly, and I couldn't be more proud of myself for being able to recreate schema for Rem so that he would manifest a personality of his own. Hyperfixating on those psychology books sure did come in handy when it came down to recreate the functions of a human brain and personality.
However, it didn't seem as though everything was going to be so sunshine and sparkles for long. The purple hues around my room dimmed into a deep red, and Sapphire's screen blared out a warning sign.
"Unusual action on the southern entrance of the campus, detected."
The screen changed to the camera which was installed there, and I got closer to the screen to see four men huddling around the keypad which was the outer layer of security for the building. The whole system hadn't been complete yet, I had managed to fix up the major parts if the programming, but the overall defense hadn't been complete yet.
"They're communicating with someone over radio signals, interfere with the signal now and listen in on what they're talking about."
I instructed Sapphire , and she got to work quickly. Before we knew it, the three of us were listening to the entirety of the conversation the group of men were having.
And the conversation revolved around taking the blueprints to a particular security system.
My system.
"Now, I wonder how the plans for my system could have been leaked..."
I sighed quietly to myself before looking at the screen silently.
"Want to try out your upgrades?"
I asked casually, looking at the screen as it turned purple again and Sapphire's face appeared on screen once more. She broke into a smile as I let a devilish grin crossed my face.
"Yes please Mi- Y/n"
With a grin, I grabbed the face mask I would wear and put it on before snatching Rem out of the air and strolling down to Granville's office. It would be a good idea to tell her what is going on before she goes bats hit crazy or something. I let Rem go to fly alongside me as we walked down another corridor and made it to the office.
Once we were given permission, Rem and I walked through the door.
"Professor, we have a break in,"
I yawned, leaning against the doorway of Granville's office, watching her dart up from her seat with a terrified expression.
"A break in? Where? Why?"
The look of alarm on her face caused me to bite the inside of my cheek to prevent myself from smiling. I know I shouldn't be so amused in the situation, especially after learning the previous attacks that had been called upon the institute, but at the same time I couldn't help but smile at the panic since I had a feeling she was sure to be in shock very soon.
"They broke in from the back of the building, give them ten minutes of trying to find their way around and they should probably be in this wing of the campus."
Granville's expression molded into one of concern as she stood from her desk, turning around to peek from between the blinds at her window.
"What do you suggest we do? Are they armed? Should I contact Big Hero 6?"
"They're armed Professor...but...I think I have this handled."
I gestured for her to follow me out of her office, and she did so reluctantly, a stern yet worried expression on her face. I pointed to a corner of the hallway, where a security camera was installed.
"The internal system is fixed, the diagnostics have been ran through..."
With a small pause I lowered my head to gather my hair into my hands, flicking back up as I tied my hair into a high ponytail. A coy smirk playing at my lips as I looked over to the woman from over my shoulder, seeing her puzzled expression as we continued to walk down the hall.
"...now we just need to...test them."

The group of superheroes landed in the courtyard of the college, meeting up together as a group and waiting for one another before they entered the building.
"Baymax, can you see anyone inside with your scanner?"
"There are five men making their way down the same hall as Y/n and Granville. Their positions are located near the chemistry block, to the left of the lockers."
The group spent no time running inside and weaving their way through the hallways of their institute in order to reach the two females on time.
"For a so called genius, she must be stupid if she didn't think of staying in one place."
Hiro voiced loudly, rolling his eyes as he thought of the kind of danger that Y/n had put herself in because of her lack of thought. In his opinion at least. He ignored the sighs and groans from the rest of the group, minus Fred who was lamenting on about some indescribable theory about the girl being a villain...again. On that note he stayed quiet, swallowing his pride which had been crushed earlier that day. Not only was his pride crushed, but it was so embarrassing, as they neared her, Hiro couldn't help but sweat nervously at the thought of seeing her again.
"Well well well, to think they actually came. I didn't realise you could actually contact them professor."
The group skidded to a halt as they looked at the figured who stood in the middle of the corridor. Granville let out a silent sigh of relief as she saw them, then put a hand on Y/n's shoulder.
"I had to, I was only informed that you would be handling any data breaches in correlation to you knowledge on security, not physical breaches, you told me they were armed."
"Armed is right."
The whole group looked ahead once more to see the five men, each wielding guns that were pointed to the group. The stepped in time with each other, all holding guns towards the group and pointing to anyone who dared to move a muscle. Three of the five men kept their guns aimed from person to person, whilst one snatched Rem from the air, and the final man stepped a lot closer to the h/c haired teen.
"If any of you heroes try moving a muscle, this girl gets it"
The man wore a mask over his face, and he pointed the tip of his gun towards Y/n who moved to stand in front of the headmistress, a bored expression seen in her eyes as the lower half of her face was covered by a black mask. Something she always wore out in public or around strangers she didn't trust, as a small means to conceal her identity.
Wasabi shrieked, waving his hands and switching off his plasma blades.
"We're not moving! Don't do anything that would hurt her! We're warning you!"
"What are you doing?"
Hiro hissed, almost in pain as he watched the teenage girl push their teacher closer towards them.
"They're holding a gun to your face, why are you getting closer?"
Y/n snorted, and turned around to face them all, ignoring the sound of all four guns being loaded behind her. She promptly stuck a middle finger up to the men as she faced the superheroes behind her.
"You think I'm scared on some first grade criminals? Please."
She scoffed and turned back around, staring at the gun that now touched her forehead. Her eyes moved slowly to lock onto the man's eyes who stood before her, easily picking up on the hesitation wavering in the eyes that were visible in the gaps of the mask. She gave him a big smile, but there was no hint of friendliness behind her eyes.
"Sapphire, activate safety protocol. Take it to level 3...but spare the one in front of me."
The bots shot out a few small, focused, electromagnetic pulse, and from the shot alone everyone could see smoke arising from their ears and their chests.
"Communications lines disabled, and last but not least."
Then before they could even move, the security camera perked up and shot a small dart to the base of each man's neck. Not including the one who held the gun to Y/n's head. Within a few seconds the men had all fallen to the ground unconscious, guns dropping to the floor, and Rem beeping in excitement as the man that held him, let him go. The remaining criminal gasped and turned around, seeing each of his fellow men snoring as they lay face first on the floor. Turning around to look at the group again, his eyes widened in fear as he saw that the girl he had held at gunpoint before, wasn't standing where he had her.
He felt something cold at the back of his head, and a terrifying chill ran down his spine.
"Were you not taught to never remove your eyes from a target?"
The moon which was hiding behind dark clouds had now appeared, and the moonlight spilled through the windows and into the area where everyone was stood, the superhero group and principle of the college staring in shock, jaws dropped open as they saw Y/n standing behind the masked man, holding something which resembled a gun against the back of his neck.
Y/n faced was highlighted in the silver of the moon, revealing half of her face, and the light reflecting off her eye which held nothing behind it. No pity, no empathy, no remorse. She looked like a blank slate of emotions, and frankly, the group of heroes were scared.
"Wow, Honey Lemon made that knockout drug more potent than I thought, that's impressive."
"You little-"
The masked man cursed aloud in an extremely vulgar manner, yet recieved no reaction from the young woman who stood behind him. Instead he heard the familiar click of a gun, and started sweating rapidly. Sure he was an adult man, and his pride kept him from falling to his knees in terror, but at the same time he had never been in a predicament like this. He was afraid, goosebumps rose across his body, heart rate increasing with each passing second as his body started to memorize the sensation of cold metal to skin.
"Ah ah ah, we're not doing that mister,"
Y/n spoke to him as though she were scolding a child, clicking her tongue with a feigned disappointment before glaring at him from behind.
"You wouldn't dare, you're just a kid."
The man growled, but the waver in his expression defied his confident words. He wavered further as Y/n rotated the chamber of the gun once more.
"Fucking try me...Now....Get onto the ground."
The man refused to move.
"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you, and I'm sure Sapphire would love to give you a dose of whatever I gave your friends if you continue to refuse."
The man eventually dropped to his knees, gun dropping to the floor before moving his hands behind his head. Honey Lemon ran over and used one her chemical balls to bind him, making it easier for them to restrain him from moving.
"I was assigned to be security by Krei himself for a reason. I
