FUMIKO MORI (15 YEARS OLD)
*beep* *beep*

The thermometer beeps as haru and aki looked at their older sister with concern plastered all over them "Onee-chan, you have a high fever!" Aki worriedly said "Mom has already gone to work.." Haru sighed heavily as aki walked back in forth in a panicked state 

Fumiko stood up and fixed her jet black hair "Nee-chan, Where are you going?" Aki asked as he scanned fumiko's figure "To school" Fumiko replied blankly and attempted to open her bedroom door "You have a fever! you should stay home!" Aki pulled fumiko's arm to prevent her from moving even more "I don't" Fumiko replied as haru frowned at his older sister "Only fools would catch a summer cold, so I don't have it." Fumiko groaned as her head started to hurt because of how much she was moving around

"You obviously do" Aki stated as made eye-contact wit haru and signaled something to him "I'm going out-" She Tried to but was denied by aki who took her bag from her hand "Wait aki-"

"Just lie down and rest today" Haru pushed fumiko to her bed and tucked her in, take notes that fumiko was in her panjamas

"We're going to school, don't die" Aki bid farewell as haru was gazing at his sister with obvious worry "I won't, have a safe trip" Fumiko said before haru shut the door behind him

"The twins have grown up" Fumiko smiled to herself as her eyes slowly close and she fell asleep

"Fumiko" A female voice spoke "Fumiko, I'm sorry" The voice apologized as she put down her phone "Something urgent came up at work" The voice said as a kid version of fumiko started to frown and her face shifted to dissapointment "I really do want to stay by your side..But I have to go" The voice hurriedly opened the door to leave but took one last look at the sick child on the bed before leaving "Mom..I.."

Fumiko's eyes shot open and she sat up, she took a breath before realizing.."My Nose Is Congested" Fumiko said to herself as she pinched her nose "Fumiko-chan, Do you want a towel?" A voice asked from the side of her bed "Yes, Thank you" Fumiko replied as she stuck out her hand for the towel "Here" They handed a towel to her "Tell me when you're done so I can put it away" The voice said As Fumiko turned her head towards them 'It's..shun?'

"I bought a energy drink too" Kaidou said as fumiko blinked a couple times before saying "Is this some kind of hallucination?" Fumiko tilted her head in confusion "Why are you here?" She asked "Aki and Haru called me this morning" He replied "They said onee-chan is dying!" He chuckled as fumiko sighed, knowing her brothers would do such a thing and they did

"Don't tell me you were trying to go to school?" He raised a brow in suspicion, noticing her school bag on the ground "Do you still have a fever?" Kaidou changed the subject because fumiko didn't respond "40.." Fumiko replied while rubbing her eyes "Around 39 Degrees" Fumiko shrugged "Did you have your medicine?" Kaidou asked "I did just now" Fumiko replied, remembering that haru gave her meds earlier in the morning because of her headache

"Well then.." Kaidou stood up and headed to the door "Speaking of which, you should get changed" He said as fumiko fell from her bed, she tried to get up but her legs were too weak to carry her body "Fumiko-chan!" Kaidou was shocked and ran back to her side "Wait..what's wrong?" He asked immediately checking if fumiko got hurt anywhere because of the fall

"Wh-Where Are You Going?" Her cheeks became red "Where..to get a drink" He replied with concern plastered on his face "Where are you going?" She repeated looking into his eyes and kaidou quickly avoided it "Fumiko-chan, seriously.." He muttered before reaching for the towel on the floor, but Fumiko quickly grabbed his wrist "Where are you..going?" She repeated with a stutter

"Fumiko" Fumiko's mother started "You have always been good at enduring things, I'm sorry that I've always made use of that" The mother apologized to a young fumiko, who was sitting on her bed with a puffy nose and tired eyes"It's okay!" Young fumiko reassured her mother "I know you have it hard at work" Young fumiko said "I'm not a child anymore" Fumiko grinned so her mother would feel less burdened about leaving her at home

"I'm Fine" Fumiko looked down to the ground as kaidou held her shoulders

"Have a safe trip, mom!" Young fumiko waved to her leaving mother with a fake smile

"Why..?" Fumiko whispered "Every single time.." Fumiko's tears fell down her cheeks"Why are you not here.." Fumiko breathed out as kaidou hugged fumiko's trembling figure "Fumiko-chan..You don't actually mean to ask where i'm going" Kaidou figured it out "It's Don't go, Isn't it?" Kaidou made fumiko's eye widen in shock

Fumiko realized that this person took time to understand her emotions, someone finally saw her beyond the cold girl facade, she felt a sense of comfort knowing that it was kaidou..

"I'm not going anywhere" Kaidou reassured her and rubbed her back gently "I don't need someone like you, I don't want to look at your face, get out of here" Kaidou said "As long as you don't have those thoughts, I will always be here" Kaidou gave her a warm smile and wiped her tears away as fumiko returned the hug and pulled him in even more, tears streaming down while burying her face deeper in his chest. All kaidou could do was pat her back in order to reassure her that he's here as she lets out all of her suppressed emotions

The thermometer beeps showing '37.8' as Fumiko groaned and turned away from kaidou "I'll go now" Kaidou announced, placing the thermometer on the table "I informed your mother and the school" He said before standing up from the bed and walking towards the door "Also..I like you" He confessed to a 'sleeping' fumiko and smiled to himself

"I've liked you since the day you saved me"

He admitted, not even looking at her due to the overwhelming shyness he felt "I put a lot of food in the fridge, in case you're hungry" He told her "Call or text me if there's anything, I will get here as soon as possible" He said before walking out of the room and closing it behind him

"AHH!!" Fumiko screamed into her pillow "Eh?Eh!?" Fumiko slapped herself repeatedly "What did he say!?" Fumiko was beyond flustered as she stood up suddenly 'Why? why did he say it along with other things!?' She thought as she walked back and forth in her room "He said that because he knew i was awake!" Fumiko assumed "I don't understand, I want him to clarify! But I don't want him to say it again.." She shook her head  'If I could just pretend not to hear..Can that keep the friendship going?' Fumiko sighed as she laid on her bed again and covered herself with the sheets

2 days later..

"Are you taking your leave today too?" Aki asked "Mhm! I Still feel a little sick" Fumiko lied as haru nodded, believing it "Okay! We'll go to school now" Aki bid farewell and opened the door, haru walking out first and aki following after as fumiko waved them goodbye

"Taking a leave when i have actually recovered.. how untruthful" Fumiko hated that she lied but could you blame her..

"Also..I Like You" "I've liked you since the day you saved me" Kaidou's words flashed through fumiko's mind as she cupped her cheeks and started shaking her head to forget about it

'I don't know how i should face him' Fumiko pouted as she held her phone and opened her conversation with kaidou 'I could text him anytime..What am i doing now?' Fumiko couldn't bring herself to talk to him

Later...

"We're home!!" Aki announced as haru quickly shut the door behind them "Onee-chan, are you feeling better?" Aki asked and hurriedly went to her side "Mhm! I feel much better!" Fumiko replied "That's great!" Aki smiled "-Can I have some mochi?" Aki asked as fumiko could only sigh

"Go ahead" Fumiko replied, making aki run towards the fridge "I saw kaidou-kun this morning" Haru said as he followed aki towards the fridge "That's nicee" Fumiko replied with a smile

"He was with a girl" "WHAT?!"

"Do you want any?" Aki asked as he took a bite from the mochi he was holding "What? wait a minute-" Fumiko stood up from her seat and the twins just gave her a confused look"There's pink mochi too" Aki informed as fumiko's nose crinkled "That's not it, Who's the girl?" Fumiko asked haru "No idea" Haru replied "She was wearing the same uniform though.." Aki said

'Same uniform means a girl from the same school!' Fumiko thought 'He met her at school, but him saying I like you, fumiko means something so.. he's two-timing!'

Fumiko gulped 'This is terrible, I can't do this!' Fumiko's mood changed into despair as she took a mochi and swallowed it whole "They must be normal friends" Aki said as haru nodded "Do they look close? were they chatting?" Fumiko asked as the twins thought got a second "yeahh..the girl was hugging his arm" Haru replied as fumiko's mochi fell to the floor "That's wasteful" Aki Pouted "A girl..hugging his arm" Fumiko felt a pang of jealousy hit her like a bullet

"I'm such a idiot, I could just text him as usual and ask him.." Fumiko muttered to herself "Maybe she's like nendo, his friend" Fumiko tried to convince herself but still felt jealousy lingering inside her

The Next Day..

Fumiko looked around hoping kaidou wasn't there "Fumiko-chan" A voice spoke making fumiko tense up "I'd like to have a word with you" Kaidou said "I need to go back early today" Fumiko replied and turned away "See you!" Fumiko walked away, more like sped-walked away as kaidou yelled out

"You were awake, right?"

"-I knew you were awake, that's why i said that" Kaidou added and took a deep breathe "T-That's why.." Kaidou stammered "Who was she?" Fumiko asked and turned around to look at kaidou face to face, her question just made kaidou tilt his head in confusion "The one who hugged your arm and stuff.." Fumiko looked away "Oh! You're talking about chiyo!"

"Chi..Yo?" Fumiko's eyes widen, thinking about all the possible things they must've been doing behind her back "Fumiko-chan,You misunderstood!" Kaidou said, already predicting that fumiko would get the wrong idea "Chiyo and I aren't in that kind of relationship!" Kaidou reassured and rubbed the back of his neck "Chiyo Likes Saiki!" Kaidou added as he breathed for a second before talking again "Chiyo slipped and twisted her ankle, I just helped her walk, s-so there's nothing between me and chiyo, I swear!" Kaidou explained but fumiko only tch-ed and ran away, leaving kaidou speechless as he sadly watched the girl run away

Later..

'I left my textbooks at school!' Fumiko realized "Nee-chan" Aki called out "If you want to eat mochi then go for it" Fumiko said as she stared at the homework on the table

"Kaidou is here"

Fumiko froze before instructing her brother  "Tell him i'm not around!" Fumiko gritted her teeth as she squeezed Aki's shoulder "I'm sorry for bothering you" A sudden voice spoke making fumiko tense up "Would it be better if i go back now?" Kaidou awkwardly asked as fumiko gulped "Please..Please stay" Fumiko replied and told her brother to go to his room

"Is that so? That's great!" Kaidou grinned "I came to return this" Kaidou handed her some of her textbooks "Ahh..Thanks" Fumiko took it and placed it on the table "I was thinking i could return it tomorrow" Kaidou said "But I'm afraid you need it for your homework" Kaidou added "Yeah..You're right" Fumiko nodded as both went silent

'She's Definitely Still Mad' 'He Must Be Wondering Why I'm Mad'

They both thought as they made eye contact with each other "I'm So-" "I'm Sorry!" Fumiko cut kaidou off "W-What?" Kaidou was confused "It's because I ran away from you earlier.." Fumiko explained "That's nothing..that's all because I mentioned chiyo- I mean the girl that likes saiki!" Kaidou corrected himself, avoiding anything that might set fumiko off again

"I'd like to ask..what is her last name?" Fumiko looked at kaidou who seemed to be thinking long and hard "It's Yume..? yume something" Kaidou replied with uncertainty "Pff- What?" Fumiko laughed

"Seriously..why didn't you say it earlier? You made me misunderstood" Fumiko pouted "Eh? I said it but nothing goes in your ear" Kaidou joked "Forget about it.let's not talk about that" Fumiko laid her head down on the cushion behind her

"I was awake..i heard every word.." Fumiko covered her face that was starting to turn red "Really?" Kaidou felt heat rising to his cheeks  "I knew you were awake, that's why I told you" Kaidou admitted as he laid his head on the cushion as well and turned towards fumiko "Ofcourse you knew.." Fumiko sarcastically said, earning a chuckle from kaidou

"I didn't say it because I want an answer.." Kaidou said "In fact, I'm afraid of your answer" Kaidou confessed as fumiko's eyes widen "So..I ran away after I said it, I'm sorry" Kaidou apologized, avoiding direct eye-contact due to how nervous he was "Shun.."
