ELI'S P.O.V
I quickly felt y/n's eyes burning on my skin which caused me to look over to her.
As clichΓ© as it sounds, the second our eyes met, my entire world stopped.
There was some kind of ache painted in y/n's eyes, that I couldn't quite capture.
I couldn't stand facing her like this without feeling even more attached to her.
I broke our contact and continued carefully putting on the cream, making sure not to hurt her.
There was so many things that I wanted to say to her even though I knew she wouldn't want to hear any of it.
This is why I was here; to clean her up, nothing more.
We shouldn't be alone with each other, and I knew that.
She barely winced as she leaned her head back while I felt her muscles tensing up.
"Almost done," I felt the need to encourage her, seeing the painful expression on her face.
She nodded softly.
I finally finished by wrapping the bandage around her arm before backing up, giving us much needed space.
"Thanks," She smiled almost awkwardly.
silence.
"y/n? where were you?" Robby appeared in the doorframe, breaking the silence.
He went straight towards her, quickly realizing I was there too.
y/n rapidly jumped off the counter before grabbing Robby's wrist and pulling him towards her.
"Let's go Robby," She said in the softest voice while looking at him, slightly tugging at his arm.
But his nasty glare stayed on me.
She had a unsure look on her face.
He made sure to barely graze me while he got out the room, looking at me up and down.
She quickly turned around, giving me a grateful smile before walking out with him.
I had a weird feeling in my chest that I couldn't quite understand.
I splashed some cold water into my face before deciding to calm down in here before returning to the party.
Y/N'S P.O.V
we both made our way upstairs, towards the crowd while my mind was still in the downstairs bathroom with Eli.
Robby's eyes fell on my arm.
"Did he hurt you?" His jaw clenched while he grabbed my arm aggressively.
"No Robby," I pulled out of his grip, half frustrated. "We both know he wouldn't,"
He stared intensely into my eyes, before reponding, "Wouldn't put it past him."
"Let's not talk about all of this okay? I wanna have fun," I rolled my eyes before sighing.
He nodded understandably.
~~~
Except for the incident with Tory, the night went surprisingly well.
Robby promised to not talk about Eli or what had happened, and I never saw Eli or Tory's faces again.
My mind couldn't help but think that they were hooking up, but I just knew Eli wouldn't do such a thing since she had hurt me.
Yeah, he had a short temper and can be quite mean some times, but I knew his limits.
Even though I enjoyed myself, I couldn't bring myself go think about anything else then Tory.
I couldn't understand what brought her to do such a thing so suddenly, especially since I thought he were friendly.
She had been so nice the night we met, I just didn't understand what had happened.
Robby told me about her home life on that same night, and I felt bad for the girl; No one should live like that, especially at 17.
But then again, I didn't know her full story and she didn't knew mine.
"You seem out of it... Do you wanna go home?" Robby silenced my thoughts.
"No, not just yet, I'm gonna go to the bathroom though," I nodded before walking towards it, realizing that I was interrupted the first time:
"I'll be in the kitchen pouring myself another apple juice," He winked as we both walked away from each other.
Robby made an effort to not drink alcohol again after what happened that night, he knew it affected him more than the average teen.
I opened the door, but it only swung halfway open, like there was something blocking it.
A boyish voice barely groaned from the inside.
"Sorry," I almost questioned while he backed away only just to let me in.
"You shouldn't be laying on the bathroom floor you know? Pretty unsanitary," I groaned, squeezing into the small opening.
The sight facing me left me speechless.
A passed out drunk Eli, slumped against the wall, pathetically laying on the bathroom floor.
With a almost empty bottle of vodka by his side.
no wonder I hadn't seen him in a while...
I'm quickly reminded of the night that he took care of me while I was in his shoes.
I could smell the heavy liquor lingering on him from a mile away.
I guess I'll have to hold it in longer.
I wrapped my arms around his probably unconscious body before standing us up, and walking him out slowly.
Robby soon glanced at us, rolling his eye annoyingly as he jogged over.
"Really?" He scoffed, looking at the boy.
"I'm sorry about this Robby but can you please drop us home?"
"Someone else can take care of him you know?" He scoffed. "I guess you just love helping him so much, don't you?"
"Robby, don't start." I started intensely into his eyes. "I would do this for anyone, it's basic human decency."
Eli's face fell into the crook of my neck as I tried my best to hold him up.
I couldn't lie, my heart fluttered.
"Am I making two stops or one?"
"Robby," I groaned at him, annoyed by his sudden attitude.
"Alright let's go," He sighed while taking out his keys out of his pocket before walking towards the outside.
I closely followed, being slowed down by Eli's weight.
Eli stayed asleep as I sat him in the car, and buckled his seat belt, earning a couple random groans from him.
Robby didn't care to help me at all; he sat in the driver's seat, waiting for me to be finished.
I then walked around the car, sitting in the backseat, next to my drunken friend.
"Why are you not sitting in front?" We made eye contact in the rear view mirror.
"Robby," I rolled my eyes. "He's clearly not feeling well, I don't want him to hit his head or choke on his vomit!"
"Sure, keep telling yourself that," He murmured while backing out of the driveway.
The drive was awkwardly silent. I didn't mind, I didn't want to talk to Robby anyways, not when he was acting like this.
"I'm sorry" Eli broke the silence unconsciously. His eyes were still closed.
"Shhh," I rubbed his arm, afraid of what he was going to say next, especially with Robby being so close.
"I miss y/n," He whispered in a whine, leaning his head further back.
My eyes widen slightly, while I tried my best to not be affected by his drunk words.
Surprisingly, Robby stayed silent.
I told Robby to drop us off at the apartment complex, he only nodded.
I dragged Eli at Miguel's because there was no way I was taking him into my apartment; not with Skylar there.
Besides, I couldn't handle a drunk Eli right now, especially when he says those words.
My body started to feel exhausted, holding Eli up, so I was relieved when a sleepy Miguel opened the door.
Before he could say a word, I yanked Eli inside before dropping him on the couch.
"He's passed out drunk," I looked at Miguel while crashing beside Eli, taking a break from all that work.
"I figured," Miguel yawned while stretching his sleep away. "He smells,"
I chuckled lightly.
"Can you take care of him for the night, please?"
"Yeah sure, no problem,"
"Make sure he drinks a lot of water, and if you can, make him eat something," I sighed looking at Miguel then to Eli.
"I feel like a babysitter who's being lectured by the kid's mom," He smirked.
"Shut up," I rolled my eyes playfully.
"He'll be okay, I promise," He sat down, while I got up.
"Thanks again," I kissed Miguel's cheeks and looked back at Eli before walking away.
My heart felt heavy...
