If only I knew it was getting bad when I no longer wanted to speak to the people that made me the most happy.

Right as I got up, I got a dress robe on and brushed my hair. I quickly went down to the Hospital wing to check on Theo. I don't know why I had the urge to check on him, I was just worried.

When I got there, Theo was drinking orange juice and eating his breakfast. I was so relieved to see him awake. Last night, he looked really hurt. I didn't even know what Malfoy's problem was. Can he not mind his own business?

When he saw me walking up to his bed, he smiled. I don't know why, but I got butterflies.

"Good morning," he said calmly.

"Good morning. I'm so glad you're looking better. And I'm sorry about Malfoy. I don't know what happened to him last night."

He laughed softly. "Malfoy's always like that. I should have moved away from him before it started."

"Well it's nice knowing that you're now okay."

I left after that. It was really awkward. Especially since I just met him last night. Hopefully he doesn't think I'm a stalker.

When I finished breakfast, all six years had to stay in the Great hall. Most of us knew what was coming.

"I hope you all know what you did wrong," Dumbledore said sternly.

Hermione looked at me in concern. I knew this was going to happen. If Malfoy didn't make Theo go to the Hospital wing, we wouldn't have to stay after breakfast. Dumbledore went on to say how he was disappointed in us. The whole conversation was completely awkward. But finally, after what felt like several hours, he let us go. I went to my first class straight away.

Luckily today was Friday. Shoot. I forgot I had detention with Malfoy. When I entered History of Magic, Luna was already at her spot. I don't know if she took a short-cut here, but wow she got to class fast.

I sat down still feeling a bit awkward about this morning. It was weird getting yelled at by Dumbledore. He was so kind and willing to back you up, what happened to him?

"Mrs. Sanders, daydreaming in class again?" Professor Haven said.

"No sir, sorry sir," I said, popping my head up.

"Then answer that question," he said pointing up on the board.

"About death eaters?" I said nervously. He nodded.

"They help you know who, and hurt a lot of people," I said, feeling my palms starting to sweat.

"Why are you so scared?" He asked walking over to where I sat. "Are you scared they're going to come for you?"

I didn't say anything. I just flinched at the fact that he was less than 8 centimeters away from my face.

"Anyways, they are very bad people who are hard to catch," he said, backing away from me.

I could feel my heartbeat slowing down. I hated this class. And I hated the stupid professor.

After a long day of work, it was finally almost over. I had to go back to Herbology class for detention. I just really hoped it wasn't a lot of work.

On my way there, I saw Daphne again.

"Oh hey!" She said forwarding me to come by her.

"Hey," I said shyly.

"Where are you going?"

"Detention, in Herbology," I said, trying to show her that I was tired.

"That's odd, Professor Sprout usually never gives detention."

"Yeah, but I better get there before Malfoy thinks I'm a no show," I said.

"Was Malfoy the one that got you into detention?" She asked.

"Well, I guess you can say that," I said giggling.

When I got there, Malfoy wasn't there yet. Neither was Professor Sprout. I read the note that she left in plain sight. Take the plants and organize them into rows. Easy enough for me. I just hoped that Malfoy showed up so I wouldn't have to do this by myself.

After an hour or two, I was thankfully finished. Of course, Malfoy didn't show up. But it's not like I can tell Professor Sprout that because he'd make up a silly excuse to get out of it.

"Finally Mrs. Sanders, I found you," Madam Pomfrey said almost out of breath.

"Me?" I asked her in confusion. But honestly, I was getting used to people randomly grabbing me in different directions.

"Malfoy, he got in a fight with Mr. Zabini and he was sleep talking. He mentioned your name in a sentence, that's why I got you."

She led me to the hospital wing. I knew why Malfoy got into a fight with Blaise. My guess is since Blaise took Malfoy off of Theo at the party, they got in a fight. Of course Malfoy wanted to kill Theo for no reason.

When we got there I saw him right away. Oddly enough, he wasn't covered in blood. His face and knuckles were tiptop clean. I knelt at the bed rolling my eyes.

"Malfoy wake up. I know you're faking this," I said trying to talk quietly.

But he was still. Breathing, but still. When Madam Pomfrey went to go and check out another student I slapped Malfoy hard. Still, he didn't move. I was done.

"Malfoy I swear to god you will regret this."

I pulled at his hair hard. He sat up quickly holding his head. I gave him a smirk.

"What the hell Ali," he whispered.

"Oh goody you're awake," Madam Pomfrey said as she noticed that he was sitting up.

When Madam Pomfrey let Malfoy go, I was still so proud of myself.

"I told you'd regret it," I said walking proudly down the hallway. "And you're such a bad actor. Anyone could tell that you were faking."

"You didn't have to pull my hair that hard," he said, still rubbing the part I pulled.

"Well, you shouldn't fake being dead just to skip detention."

As soon as I said that, he pushed me against the wall. I was completely in shock.

"Don't date Theo," he said looking me in the eyes.

"What?"

"I don't want you by him."

"Why? Why do you care so much? That night at the party, you made fun of me. You made me feel horrible. Why do you think I'm just going to come back to you?" I said.

"I-I don't know, but please, I just don't want anything bad to happen."

I pushed his hand off my chest and walked away quickly. Of course he followed. As he walked past me, it made my steps feel like they were falling shorter and shorter.

We made our way to the Great Hall as dinner was almost over.

"So how was detention with Malfoy?" Hermione asked giggling.

"Oh let me tell you all about it," I said smiling.

At dinner, I could tell that Malfoy was angry about his hair being all ruined. I did pull a little too hard, but I personally think he deserved it.

β€”β€’β€”

That night, when I was going up to my dorm, Theo stopped me. I noticed that most of the scars were healing already. There was a scar across his nose that made him ten times hotter.

"Hey, going to bed already?" He asked leaning on a stone wall.

"Yeah, I'm not really a morning person, so I try to make myself go to bed earlier," I told him.

"I get it, but maybe you would want to play spin the bottle for a little bit. In the Slytherin common room."

"Oh, no thanks, that game is not my cup of tea," I say backing away.

"Oh come on, it's only 8, and if you want to leave, I'll let you," he said.

"Fine, but only for a little bit."

He smiled and led me to the Slytherin common room. When I walked in, people noticed Nott first. When they saw me, they had their Slytherin face on. All Slytherins had one. It's when they make a face that looks like they just saw someone eat their own booger.

"Why did you bring her here?" Pansy asked Theo.

"And why did you agree?" Draco asked me.

"Woah, she's just a friend. Malfoy, she can sit next to you if she wants to.

He looked down at me. I shook my head, not wanting to sit next to Malfoy. But Malfoy took me by my wrists anyway.

I sat next to him on the Slytherin floor completely uncomfortable.

"Who wants to spin it first?" Theo asked.

"Ooh I will, I will," Pansy said in excitement.

She barely spun the bottle so it would land on Draco. Of course it did.

"Hey! That's not fair, she didn't really spin it!" Malfoy complained.

"Rules are rules Malfoy, suck it up," Blaise said.

Pansy walked over to Malfoy and started to full on make out with him. Draco was disgusted and pushed her away.

"Alright, alright you rat," he said, wiping his lips with his sleeve.

"Ali want to have a go?" Blaise asked.

"I guess."

I spun it. Everyone watched it as it spun in circles. It started to slow down. It landed on Theo.

I looked up and saw him smirking. Malfoy looked like he was going to kill him. But I still got up and kissed Theo. We went all in too. It lasted for a full 20 seconds until Malfoy split us up. I couldn't stop smiling the rest of the night.

When everyone went back up to their dorms, I had to sneak out of the Slytherin common room. I was really good at hiding from Filch and Ms. Norris.

I safely got back to my dorm and went to bed straight away. I don't know what happened tonight, but it was fun.

β€’A Month or so Laterβ€’

I woke up ready for the day. My energy was beyond what it usually was. Today was my birthday. It started out with me getting a letter from my parents and my sister wishing me a happy birthday. It was a big birthday too! I turned 17 which meant that I could do magic out of Hogwarts. It's not like I was going to overuse it, but I mean, now I don't have to be at Hogwarts to do magic.

The letter I got just wished me a happy birthday. It had balloons and a birthday cake drawn on it by my sister. She turned 14 this year. I'm glad she still has the motivation to do kind stuff like that. When I was 14, I started to stay to myself. I barely talked to my family or friends. I just sat in my room, reading old muggle books that I thought were interesting.

Most of everyone from Gryffindor wished me a happy birthday. I'm glad no one forgot it. Neville made me a little cake for dinner which tasted really good. I was glad that the day went by smoothly.

On my way to my dorm, Malfoy and his friends passed by.

"Happy birthday loser," Draco called out as he passed Hermione and I. His friends were clearly amused.

"Who told you it was my birthday?" I asked.

"I just know," he said, walking further away from us.

"Ugh I hate him," I told Hermione.

"Weren't you two just at the Yule Ball last year?"

"Yeah, but after summer he wrote me a letter."

"What did it say?" She asked intrigued.

"That we couldn't be together. That it was too dangerous. That he couldn't date someone like me, a mud-blood," I said almost tearing up. But I couldn't tear up. Not over something like that. Maybe Malfoy was right. Maybe I am just a pathetic little girl. But then again, I am older than him.

"I would just stay away from him," she said.

"Why?"

"Harry's under the impression that he's a Death Eater," she said swallowing hard.

"Since when?" I asked in complete fear.

"Since the start of this year. But he hasn't shown many signs yet. So we don't know if it's true or not."

That night I felt terrible. The pain was throbbing in my stomach. I don't blame Neville's cake. Just me being my terrible self.

A/n - this chapter has 2000 words, so I am just apologizing that it is that long. I hope you guys loved it though!
