Annamarie Grimm has always been a peculiar girl with some shyness and awkwardness to top it off. She was just different altogether. With the way she thought, the way she acted. Let's just say she didn't have that many friends. She never really cared that she didn't. She always seemed to be on her own, and she was fine with that. Though she never really had an easy life to begin with, she still tried her best to keep moving forward. To keep going no matter what.

There was one thing that helped her keep going. One thing that kept her happy and content. That soothed her soul. That one thing that helped and kept her going was that she always had her vivid imagination. Anna could spend days upon days just drawing and imagining new things. Then recording them in her vast collection of journals.

Just stuck in her wild imagination.

It's what she did to escape her harsh reality. The reality... where she was just a poor girl that got sick on a regular basis, who learned differently than most, and was different all together. Yes, she had her family. Who she loved dearly. But it was still rough for them all.

What Anna really relied on was her imagination and journals for the longest. But to be more specific the things she held very dear to her heart were the things she drew, and then creatures that she created within her mind. She would then take her time to record them on paper in her journals. All these seemingly different creatures have always been special to her. All of them were very unique and different in their own way.

There would be creatures who were the ones who would fascinate her from different movies and shows. Then there would be creatures that she would make up from her imagination. All were different in their own way, and were very special to her.

They were the only things that kept Anna going, in this world that she was trying to survive in with her family. Making up and creating her creatures was one of her passions. Drawing and making up facts had her overjoyed. Making something out of nothing showed her that anything was possible. It also gave her the control she wanted. Creating was something that she adored.

Making them though specifically had Anna feel joyful and content. Having the control to make them fierce and big, or cute and small but powerful. It had a way of consuming her mind and bringing joy into her life. Along with drawing her favorite animations or creatures from movies and shows that enraptured her. It made her smile all the time.

It also made her family smile too. They had hope that her art would help them as well in the future. Thinking she could make a career out of her joyful hobby. But they knew it would be hard for Anna. Being that she was sick most of the time. They knew she struggled with the small job she had now. But Anna would always try to help where she could but it was a struggle for her. So they tried to encourage her to draw to her heart's content.

But her family they were mostly overjoyed that Anna had something to make her happy. Always trying to make sure she had supplies. So that she could get lost in her art. And they were always happy to see her art in many forms. Whether it be drawing, painting, or sculpting. They always tried to give her supplies so she could create. Though it was hard they tried for her. They wanted her to create all that she could and all that she wanted.

Which was what Anna was doing right now. She was drawing in one of her many black sketchbooks. She was in her own little world thinking of new facts about a certain Pokรฉmon from one of her favorite shows. She was now coloring in a picture of the Pokemon. She had a yellow colored pencil in hand. Coloring in bright yellow fur with said color pencil shading lightly. A smile washed over her lips. As she was done with the drawing.

Leaning back Anna chuckled softly. As she looked at the cute drawing of the yellow furry Pokemon. He was bright yellow with long ears that had black tips and a lightning bolt for a tail. His name being Pikachu.

Anna's smile soon turned into a pout though as she ran her fingers over the drawing. Oh, what she would give to have them, her drawings running around in the real world. To have them here with her.

Maybe, just maybe she wouldn't be so lonely. Though Anna had her family it still wasn't easy. She still felt lonely. She still felt like the black sheep of the family. Being she was different from so many. With everything she did and was. Anna pouted at such a thought. As she looked at all the drawings that were scattered all over her desk. Illuminated by the little lamp on her desk in the corner.

There were many different creatures of different sizes, colors, and shapes. Drawings of them from different angles. With little notes of information about them on the side. Showing facts and many other things about every individual creature. Some were her own while others were from shows and movies that she took interest in.

Sighing Anna reached up to rub her hand over her face then through her long fluffy dark curly mane that was out. It was late at night, and she was growing tired. After having been up since early this morning. Helping in the house where she could and then going to her small job. Then helping around the house again once home.

Anna had her mind set on going to bed at that moment. So with another tiring sigh she got up from her old chipped desk. Collecting all her drawings. Placing them in her sketchbook nicely trying not to rip the pages. Taking the book, she pushed it closed with all her drawings. Then grabbed the thick string she made with the book. She was quick to wrap it around the book and tied it off. So she could keep the pages closed and together.

Taking up the now semi thick sketchbook she walked over to her bed and kneeled down beside it. Reaching under the bed she pulled out her locked chest with a grunt. Being that it was semi heavy with all her art things.

After it was out from under the bed she reached under the collar of her black shirt. She then took out a necklace that had the key to unlock the huge chest. Taking the necklace off she unlocked the chest and opened it.

Opening it she was met with many other black journals and sketchbooks. All stacked on each other nicely. They were all filled with drawings of different creatures and facts that she created and from different shows and movies. Amongst other things as well as drawings of her family and places. She ran her fingers over the books with a fond smile upon her lips.

Anna smiled upon seeing them but she soon yawned from tiredness. So, with the tiredness clouding her thoughts. Anna hurriedly placed the sketchbook that she had in hand that was out into the chest for safekeeping.

She was then locking the chest pushing it back under her bed. Not wanting anyone to see the things she created nor drew. She has always kept the things she created close only letting her family see. Even then she didn't show much. Too afraid to show anyone until she was ready.

But as she got up to stretch and yawn again Anna was cut off in the middle of the action. She was cut off by a knock on the door. There was only one person it could be at this time. Groaning, she sighed out loud enough for the person to hear, 'come in.' Soon the person stepped into her room with a grim smile before they spoke. The person happened to be Anna's mother.

"Sorry for bothering you Anna. But I need you to do something for me if you could. Please," Anna's mother asked. As she stepped further into Anna's room. Her mother was in her late forties and was a kind woman. She had dark hair with light brown eyes and was always seen with a tired smile. But a smile nonetheless.

Anna always admired her mother for being strong no matter what. Even when it got hard with their situation she was always seen with a smile and kept a positive attitude.

"What would you like me to do for you mom," Anna sighed out softly. As she tried to rub the tiredness from her eyes quickly. Anna really didn't want to do this errand but couldn't say no to her mother. Not after everything she has done for her and because she was her mother.

Taking a peek at the clock she saw it was ten o'clock at night. Which had Anna to lightly clench her jaw discreetly in frustration. But soon closing her eyes she took a deep breath not wanting her frustration to be known.

As she looked at her mother with a small smile. The mother could see her daughter was tired and felt sorry that she was bothering her. But she needed her help. Anna was the only one she could think to ask for such a favor. It was important to her and it was for the family.

"I'm very sorry Annamarie. I know it's late and I would do it myself. But I have to be here to finish some paperwork so I have to stay. And I know you're feeling okay today. But I need these papers picked up from the post office they're very important. They were just dropped off. There might be a possibility that there is a big job offer for me. I need these papers as soon as possible. Will you do this favor for me? You're the only one I have and can think of going and picking them up for me," Anna's mother pleaded for Anna to do.

Blinking her eyes, Anna looked over at the clock again and sighed softly then nodded. She understood the importance of the papers. If it met that she could get a better job, and have a chance at having a more enjoyable job. Anna would fetch the papers in a hurry no matter the time. She would do it in a heartbeat for her mother. Though she was tired hearing the favor and knowing what it was for... she wasn't that upset.

"Sure thing mom. I - I'll do it for you," she agreed to do for her mother, stumbling over her words slightly. Walking around her bed Anna went to her desk chair. That had her blue jean jacket hanging from it. Anna then swung it around to put it on over her black long sleeve shirt that hugged all of her soft curves and was tucked into her high waisted jeans. Fluffing and pulling her dark curly hair out making sure it wasn't caught in her jacket. Anna sighed with a smile.

"Thank you so much Anna," Anna's mother sighed in relief. She then walked to Anna and hugged her tightly. Which had Anna chuckle as she returned the hug. Anna wasn't one for touching. But like she thought earlier she couldn't say no to her mother. She would do anything for her mother if she could.

Anna shook her head as they broke apart from the hug. Her mother was too kind for her own good. Anna was grateful for her though, being so strong no matter what. And still taking care of her and the family. She didn't know what she would do without her mother by her side. Her mother who stayed by her side even with all the problems she had.

"No problem. It's the least I - I can do after everything you do for me and everyone mom," she chuckled. As she picked up her dark blue purse and her old cell phone her mother had gotten her. To stay in touch with each other while on her walk. She threw the purse over her shoulder softly, and placed her phone into her bag. She then was ready to go. Anna wanted to hurry with this errand and get back as soon as possible. Anna didn't really like being out this late at night. Or out at night at all. Or out anywhere really. She would rather be home more than anything.

"Oh stop it. Don't make me get all teary eyed. Now go ahead and go. Get back as soon as you can. I don't want you out longer than you have to be. Okay I love you," she ordered Anna softly. Seeming to not like Anna out at this late time either. Not wanting anything to happen to her. Anna could see she was troubled. She was concerned for Anna but needed these papers immediately. Which Anna understood. Anna then began to gain a pep in her step. So she could get the papers for her mother, and then get back as quickly as possible.

"I love you too. And don't worry I'll be as quick as I - I can mom," she reassured her mother. She was then walking out of her room leaving the woman behind. Her mother had a smile upon her lips seeing Anna walk away. She loved her daughter very much.

But both didn't know it would be the last time they would ever see each other.

Anna then started her way to the post office. Walking out of the room she skipped down the hallway and to the steps. Jumping down the steps two and one at a time. Anna started humming random songs and dancing slightly on the tips of her toes.

She was trying to keep her energy up and keep the journey light and fun as possible. So she wouldn't be as sleepy as she was and so she could have some fun. Reaching the end of the steps Anna went on her way to grab the keys from the hook close to the door. Keys in hand Anna then began to spin the key ring around her finger. As she went to the front door with a skip in her step.

Anna would have shouted a bye to her mother but she didn't. She didn't want to take the chance of waking anyone else up in the house. So, Anna just continued on her way. The only thing heard was her humming, and clicking of the chains and decorations on her purse. Which had her giggling and smiling seeing them on her bag.

Opening and closing the door behind her, locking it as well. Anna was trying to keep her energy up by skipping her way to the post office. That was a few blocks away. But Anna also knew she had to hurry because the post office closed at eleven o'clock. Looking at her wrist watch Anna saw it was ten fifteen. Which caused her to nod her head as she thought she could make it in time.

Bored out of her mind and slightly tired, Anna began to hum quietly Goner by twenty one pilots mindlessly. Skipping and jumping over the cracks in the sidewalk as she softly giggled to herself. As she thought of her drawings and more in her head along the way. Thinking of what they would do if they were real. Anna was truly stuck in her own little world. As she skipped and jumped. Looking up and around from the sidewalk Anna saw the buildings that were illuminated by the street lights.

Knowing she needed to make it to the post office on time. Anna made her mind up and decided to take the shorter path that she remembered to the post office. So lost in the moment and in the song she was singing and humming while shimmying and swaying as she skipped.

Anna didn't even notice she was singing the song a little bit too loud under her breath. Nor did she notice that she was being followed by someone. That was until she heard someone with a deep smooth voice behind her say, "you have quite a beautiful singing voice Annamarie Grimm."

"Who the hell are you and how d - do you know m - my name?" She screeched out, stumbling over her words in fear and jumped. As she turned quickly to the stranger behind her. Who she was met with was a man. He had short brownish blonde wavy hair that was gelled back, with tan skin. He was also wearing a burgundy button up shirt with black pants and shoes. His hands were buried deep in his pockets.

What stood out the most were his ears. From what Anna could see from the street lights they were pointed. Which caused Anna to be confused. Especially with the feeling he was giving off. It caused Anna to take a step back. She was becoming very scared.

Anna thought her eyes were playing tricks on her when she saw him. But he seemed to be really there. But the expression he had looked to be he was contemplating something in his head. As he tilted his head looking at Anna.

He was looking her up and down. Seeming to be judging her. That was when Anna heard his voice again, "my name is Eric. And I must say I'm very sorry for what I'm about to do. But you just seem like the perfect person for them. To be their mate. The Mother has sent me to get you and as the Mother deems it, it shall be. It was a shame you were born here and not in the world they were in. Such a pity. Four lost mates not born in the same world. But I am honored to be the one to reunite you both. Which leads me to not be able to pass up the perfect moment."

"What the f - fuck are you t - talking about!" She exclaimed at him, stuttering over her words again. More so as fear than anything. Fear washed over her as her eyes grew wide. As the feeling of terror washed over her ten fold.

But before she could even finish questioning his intentions. Anna yelped in fear when she saw him disappear into a smoke of sorts. Which caused her to gasp before trying to run away. But then Eric appeared behind her and was quick to wrap an arm around the curves of her waist. Then Anna was suddenly being lifted and whisked far away into a dark alleyway. Anna was struggling in his hold but couldn't get free. As she saw nothing but darkness.

"I'm sorry but you have to die in order for this to work. I will make it as quick as possible and painless. And I will handle your soul with much care. I promise. I promise this will all be worth it in the end," Eric explained with a grim look. A sob soon escaped Anna's lips as she struggled in his hold. But he then turned her slightly soon wrapping his around her neck and a hand on her head.

"No. N - no. Please. N - no," Anna sobbed and struggled to speak. As she felt him begin to grip her neck and head tighter. She tried her best to get out of his grasp. But nothing she did seemed to work. She had no clue what he was talking about and it scared her. Everything about him scared her. She just wanted to be back home with her family, with her mother.

"I promise you will love it there. And I know he will cherish you. They all will. You just have to be patient and everything will fall into place for you my dear. It will be a rough journey but it will be wonderful," he promised. Anna was about to protest and kept struggling. But before she could say anything else or question him, darkness engulfed her.

Anna felt nothing at first. But then she felt it. It was pain like no other that started from her chest. She wanted to scream but nothing, not a sound came from her. It felt as if a fire ignited within her. The burning feeling then started to travel all over her body. Anna has known pain from being sick most of her life. But this was like nothing she had felt before. This feeling was intense and was felt all over.

She felt this for what felt like eternity. Her body being on fire she then suddenly felt like she was falling. Falling fast. Then the feeling of falling for a long time took over with the pain. She was still burning and then she realized she still couldn't see anything. The darkness was still blanketed over her.

She didn't know what was happening nor where she was. But all she felt was that she was falling and she was in tremendous pain. She was terrified. Her mind was everywhere then not. Thinking of many things then simply going into a daze not knowing what to think.

Then it happened.

A bright light took over her vision then she was able to see. Opening her eyes, blinking and looking up, all she saw was a dark night
