The last bell of the day rang, I was literally so happy to leave school only to remember I had detention after school.
I Sighed 'Shit, detention'. Shouldn't last that long right?

I'd kinda feel like an asshole if I told him we couldn't go to the cafe tonight when it was my plan to go. Yet I guess he wouldn't really even care, I really don't know why I'm feeling so interested in getting to know him.
It's the first time I've actually ever tried to get someone to be friends with me.

Ajax has been my friend ever since we were little babies and Ayaka and I just saw each other and then boom became friends, then their friends became mine. I've always been nervous trying to talk to new people. So I really don't know why I was able to talk to him.
I make my way over to the classroom where detention was and gave my slip to the teacher, I look around to see it was just me there.

I sit down in the back corner closest to the windows and pull out my unfinished bio notes from last period and decide to plug in some music and get to finishing.

After what seemed to be 20 minutes I see out of the corner of my eye someone sit to the chair right next to me. I didn't decide to pay attention to them for a bit but then once I was finished with a sections of the notes I look to my left side to see that
it's...Scaramouche? Next to me? We made slight eye contact with each other, I then looked back down at my work like I was going to finish more of it. 'Yet I really didn't want to' I could see my phone light up and that I got a new message

I start packing up my things when the teacher finally dismissed us. Scaramouche decided to wait for me which was actually kinda sweet?

When I got all my stuff together he stayed Infront of me to direct me to where his car was. And I tell you he's got a damn nice car. We both got in the car which was literally even nicer in the inside?
And I gave him the directions to the cafe.

The care ride felt so awkward yet so comforting, it was quiet but a nice and calming quiet. Almost like you could fall asleep at any second. And I would have if we haven't arrived to the cafe at the time. We got out of the car and it was my turn to direct the way. Inside the cashier greeted me like she always does

"Hey there Y/N! Glad to see you again! Oh? Is this your boyfriend? Are you guys on a date!!! He's different from the other guy who comes here"

My face got red from what she said and all Scaramouche did was turn his head in the opposite direction so I couldn't see his expression.

"No haha this is just a friend of mine, and so is the other guy you see here too."

"Oooh then maybe im just gonna have to have this guy for myself then! You are pretty handsome"

She said facing herself towards Scaramouche looking him up and down.
It got awkward for a second.

"Sorry for that! What would you guys like to have?"

"Um I'll have my usual, one slice of strawberry cheesecake with a lychee bubble tea"

"And what for you sir?"

"Uhm I'll take two of the chocolate macaroons and also a lychee bubble tea"

"Alright your total is $15:47"

I go to pull my wallet out of my pocket when he already gave the lady his card

"There you guys are, enjoy!" As she handed us our food and drinks we went and found a small table to eat and talk.

"Why'd you pay for it? It was my idea to come here and you drove us here"

"Don't ask why. Just appreciate it yeah?"

"Yeah sorry haha"

"You know Y/n you say sorry a lot, why's that?"

He caught me off guard with that question. No ones ever asked me that before they just never bothered

"I don't know really, I just always feel a need to apologize for everything"

"But why? Even when there's no need to apologize"

"I always feel like I have to apologize for everything I say"

It's weird actually telling someone that. Since no one's ever asked. I take a sip of my boba looking breaking away from the eye contact we had.

"Hm. I get it. "

"How come you didn't want me to be friends with you?"

"Oh. Well I've done a lot of bad things and I guess I just didn't want to scare you off"

"Why would you do that? I mean unless you've done like some ACTUAL scary shit I'm not gonna be afraid of you"

" just like how you are, I always feel like if I open up to someone I feel like I'm gonna scare them away from me"

"But you know I wouldn't do that right?"

"Leading to my next question, why do you want to be friends with me? "

" I've been trying to figure that out as well, I guess you just sparked something in me. I've never actually been able to build up the courage to ask someone to be my friend. Ajax and Ayaka were just the people that clicked with me. Then they introduced their friends to me"

"Hm then maybe there is something between us", When he said that I looked back at his eyes to see they were still locked on me. His gaze looked so intimidating yet felt so hot?

"Not like that you dummy. I mean like maybe there's something between us that makes us 'click' "

"Right yeah! See it's not so bad being friends with me huh Moochie!!" I giggled, joking around with him.

"I guess so N/N." , So many people have called me by my nickname before but the way it came out of his mouth it felt so different. I could feel my face heating up.

"Since we're friends you said that we needed nicknames for each other right?" He leaned in closer to the table and gave me such a dark faint smirk.

"Your much more flirtatious in person mister"

"You think?"

After what seemed to be an hour, we both decided it was time for us to leave.
We got back in the car and I gave him my home address.

I knew that I wouldn't be going back home tonight, cause I knew mom had her boyfriend over and I couldn't deal with them.
After a bit I fell asleep until he stopped the car outside of my house. He slightly shook my arm to wake me up.

"We're here"

I looked outside up at the house for a bit. Trying to figure out who's house was closest around here. I start to open the door, his voice stops me from fully getting out of the car.

"There's a spare bedroom at my house, uhm you just seem like you wouldn't want to be inside your home right now. My mom is out of town so she wouldn't care."

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother"

"Y/n I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't sure"

"Right. Sorry"

I close the door and he turns around to make his way to his house for the night.
